Yeah, that's right, Dreamworks Pictures is doing a GOD-FUCKIN-DAMN LIVE ACTION MOVIE ON GHOST IN THE SHELL. I'm becoming emo.

I didn't linked the nws because it is on an italian site ( http://animeclick.lycos.it/notizia.php?id=18800) I mean, my comment was: "NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I WANNA DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

Visionnerz- 04-17-2008

Damn.. and last month I heard there was goig to be an American live action Akia set in "Neo Manhattan"... what the hell makes people think that they can do justice to these movies by recreating them?

KIRBY 7- 04-17-2008

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Xed- 04-18-2008

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one can immagine my level of suffering. I survived at the news just because I just recieved Silver Case and F.S.R. Otherwise I would have died by reading that. This is going to be another motherfucker matrix. A bad action movie with stupid philosophical shit and idiot quotes from Alice's adventures in wonderland pretending to be deep.

Man, I was remembering back when I saw Ghost in the Shell at the theater. It was the first anime I had seen on a big screen, it was amazing.. even though back then the theater I went to didnt have surround sound or that big of a screen, really. Then when Innocence came out, I also saw that in a theater and that was even better in terms of the audio and visual expeience. Speaking of quotes, I didn't even notice the excessive amount of philosophical quotes in Innocence the first time I watched it. It was until my second time seeing it on DVD was when it annoyed me. But the point is, I cant see how they can receate the experienc of seeing some revolutionary animation in a theater to switchin it to live action... unless they do something like what was done for Casshern.. but again, I don't have much faith in Hollywood CG unless it's done in a somewhat unique way in terms of building the digital sets/atmosphere like Sin City.

Ehi, I know that there is a prequel book to Innocence. It never got published here in italy. Is it disponible in the us?

PhasE- 04-18-2008

I haven't watched the GITS anime yet :) Spielberg gonna direct this? or he gonna have as much to do with it as he did for Transformers. I can't read Italian just assuming.

Xed- 04-18-2008

No, the photo is there just because in the news is written that dreamworks is property of spielberg.

Frana- 04-19-2008

It is going to suck. Speed racer makes me want to puke and so will this, the Dragonball one, Astroboy, ect. GET SOME ORIGINAL IDEAS YOU F*****G N00BS!

axl99- 04-19-2008

Spielburg, what on earth were you thinking?

Xed- 07-07-2008

Avi Arad is confirmed as one of the two producers. (considering that he produced "BRATZ: THE MOVIE" now I know how they keep in consideration gits) The other producer is Steven Paul, a guy I never really heard of, could you tell me who he is? BTW Spielberg will definitively not direct the film. The director is still unknown but Jamie Moss will adapt the manga into screenplay.

ferlanga- 07-07-2008

Ridley Scott (Blade Runner) or James Cameron could be good directors for this (?)

Xed- 07-07-2008

Ridley Scott (Blade Runner) or James Cameron could be good directors for this (?) Hell, it would be awesome, but I really don't see an important director doing a movie based on an anime. (who considers the wachoski bros. good directors is a drunk, tought, lol)
