Just responding to say that a response IS on the way. My lifes just been kicking me in the nads right now. Hopefully I'll get the response out soon.

Isoulle- 07-24-2008

Finally. Ugh. It's way too long between my posts. Hopefully I'll be able to get them out faster since my job ends relatively soonish. Any ways, on with the show! I picked up P3 FES awhile back, but I haven't played it much. I just had to get FES, because I already bought P3. I doubt that I'll ever pick up P4 though. (At least not until it hits the bargain bins.) I've been spending most of my game time playing MGS games. The MGS 4 hype has gotten to I as well. Despite its ridiculous ass story. I never bothered with FES. Maybe if I can get it for dirt cheap. But man, I just disliked Persona 3 so much. Though on the plus side they have promised you can control your party in P4 which is a step back in the right direction… Amano is not so bad... as long as he's not drawing humans. I only bring up Amano, because Kaneko is getting tossed to the side like Amano. At least in Amano's case he was replaced by Nomura. Who actually has a pretty good drawing style. Soejima's style is ok, but I fail to see his supposed "originality". People say Soejima is Original? The moment I saw his art I was like “Where’s Kaneko and why did they replace him with this cookie cutter anime artist?” Seriously, wtf? Fuckin' A! It's about a damn time I come across a fellow RS fan. (Other than the regulars at the gamefaqs Minstrel Song board.) I even bought the Ultimania guidebook, because that's how hardcore I am when it comes to RS. Romancing SaGa games are fucking awesome. I love them. All gameplay and no flash. The artwork/music are fantastic as well… Trust be told, I’m a huge RS fanboy. Who's your main? I usually go with Aisha or Claudia. Aisha is badass as fuck if you make her into a martial artist/samurai/ninja style fighter. Claudia is all out bow & arrows + spears. I'm using a Rosalian Mage Barbara in my current RS game My main? Probably Hawke, I like the high LP. Very useful especially when fighting death. But honestly I play everyone. I like the variety. Already have both. I'm a hardcore fighting game player as well. (Although I'm not as hardcore as the top tourney players in Washington state.) I used to look down on Arcana Hearts myself, but I have to admit that game has a surprisingly deep battle engine. Arcana's problem is that the rest of the game looks & sounds like shit. Arcana's fighting engine is more to my liking, because it focuses more on zoning like Samurai Showdown. I keep on hearing that about Arcana heart, but every time I watch it all I get is a GG/melty blood vibe, and not a good one. As for zoning, there’s always KOF. KOF is all about zone of control. Well zoning, aggro and trap games. (I’m a huge KOF fan) Shit, I think it's weird myself. You even play Romancing Saga! Barely anybody recognizes the greatness of the Saga games. Although I have to admit. Most Sa-ga games are hit or miss. (Saga Frontier 2, Unlimited Saga) I think saga's main downfall is it's advertising, & art direction. The gameplay of Saga games are more geared toward PC rpg gamers, but the problem with Saga games is that they usually look like Jrpgs. Square really needs to make a Saga game that looks like Tomomi Kobayashi's Art work. Her beautiful art always goes to waste, because her art is never featured inside the actual games. SaGa frontier 2 sucked (Though the first one is my favorite SaGa game. I just love the variety in it). I actually enjoyed Unlimited. It’s not amazing, and definitely not as good as other RS games, but I found the system interesting, the game challenging, and all around just enjoyed it. That and it had the beautiful artwork and music that follows the series around. I can’t wait until they make another one. I never really though of SaGa as a pc rpg per say. I always describe it as some sort of cross breed, like PC and console RPGs had a child after one of their fights. Except neither one of them or their friends liked it and it wandered around lonely and unloved all the time. Not too surprising. Crusader is supposed to be the main game right? From what I understand heroes was more or less an expansion pack. Too bad my pops gave away both of my xbox's to my nephews. I can't play Heroes, Dreamfall, or Inivisible War anymore. Shitty. Could always get a new Xbox, they’re pretty cheap now. Nope. I can't stand the fashion industry. It's full of anorexic women, transsexuals & homosexual men. In other words I think it's gay. (The fashion industry actually is dominated by homo sexuals.) I do keep an eye on some voluptuous models though, but it's mostly because I want to see them undressed, heh. A most noble goal!  I despise the fashion industry, because imo they are what set the current standard of anorexia as being the pinnacle of modern feminine beauty. (I'm a straight up 80's/early 90's style cat. I prefer women with curves, & ample T&A) Seconded. I just have an eye for style. Some people describe me as a pimp, because that's how stylish my get ups usually are. http://killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/tooill.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v437/topdrunkee/tam/wangman.jpg I gotta admit, you look kinda scary there. Kinda like an Asian mobster to be honest. BTW I believe that Kazuma Kaneko himself is a gay man, he's just married to a woman to hide his sexual preference, lol. I don't have any valid reason to believe so other then Kaneko just looks way too damn stylish to be a straight man. And that he’s always pictured in a field of flowers? I see images of that everywhere. That and his designs make some of the most "out there" fashion statements I've ever seen, but they actually work. Most people complain about Ulala & Maya's choice of clothing, but as I said before. Most of Kaneko's designs are haute coutured inspired. If Ulala & Maya's attire appear to be semi erotic than that's most likely the intention that they were going for since most high fashion inspired clothing looks erotic in the first place. However to do so shows a lack of "culture" As it shows that the individual completely ignored the stylish sensibilities of a piece of clothing & directly focused at the perceived sexualities of an article of clothing. I must admit I am not a fashion expert, but I truly appreciate Kaneko’s eye for style and I would honestly love dressing as his characters (Hijiri comes to mind as a favorite). I never understand peoples complaints about his style, except that they seem to want the same tired anime school boy/girl characters. The popularity of the new guy really supports that and it’s tragic. Seeing Kaneko’s new art is a good point of megaten releases and even if it’s a bad game at least there’s new artwork. Gah, I really hope they bring him back. In Persona, the cast were wearing unconventional attire that were tailor made to suit their personality & accentuate their charms. (In Maya's case. It happens to be her breasts. Hence the heart insignias. Nanjo's is his no. 1 scarf. Reiji goes for the johnny's jr. look, etc.) Maya's get up in particular had a bit of a circulation in Japan during the hey day of the Persona 2 games. Ulala's get up is pretty generic when compared to the types of high fashion that I've glanced at in the internet. http://images.google.com/images?num=50&hl=en&safe=off&q=haute%20couture&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi I don't understand why people make a big fuss about her outfit, then again I don't exactly get the minds of the normal populace. (I have a very eccentric mind set.) Trust me, I know what you mean. I probably honestly do considering we seem to have the same opinions… Gaming Intelligence Agency was practically the only website I've ever seen who saw the connection between haute couture & Persona's character designs. From my experience they're are two types of overtly stylish men in the world. Pimp/mobster arrogant asshole types such as myself, or homo sexuals. Although Kaneko does look like a yakuza, his face doesn't really show any signs of hardship, nor does he seem to be that arrogant. Ah fuck it, I forgot about metro sexuals. I'm guessing that's the category Kaneko would fall inline with. People such as myself are only semi fashionable in comparison to the likes of Kaneko. My sense of fashion only goes up to leather coats & suits. You know, Victorian style. Which is typical for a man. Actually that’s what I wear casually. I wear dress clothes normally and leather jackets and shit. My personal preference is for 1920’s men’s fashion. Shirts, vests, gloves, etc. I also really like Victorian. I’m currently working on expanding my wardrobe to fit this desire. So yeah, I completely approve of your taste. I only dress up, because it serves as my gateway to boning hot babes. I admit, I’m one of those meaningful relationship true love guys. I dress up nice because I just like how it looks. Had it been up to me to create the character designs all of the men would be geared up in badass attire (Leather coats, suits & ties, wife beaters) like the Killer 7. The women would all be wearing booty tight clothing, thongs or none at all. Which further shows to I how unique, & above reproach Kaneko is when compared to other character designers, because the majority of his female designs look classy/stylish/chic as hell. I completely agree on naked ladies.  But seriously, women can look class and awesome, and it’s great the work that Kaneko does…. God damnnit, they need him back on art design. I feel that you have to be a gay man in order to come up with the female designs that Kaneko comes up with. None of his female characters look overtly sexualized. (Look at Soul Calibur 4 to see what overt sexuality looks like. Not that I'm complaining. That's just the way I like it.) Ugh, I know. That pandering to 15 year old anime fans look. Ugh. Even when I was 15 I thought Kaneko’s women were better. I mean I think the bustiest woman he’s drawn is Ulala and by anime standards she’s flatsvill. Yet almost all of the Megaten girls have a mature sophisticated allure about them. Even the sluttier designs such as Nemissa, & Ayase. I'm of the opinion that most people can't stand Kaneko's designs, because they can't comprehend the sense of style that he's going for, & usually succeeds in. Soejima's designs seem to be more relatable, because his characters wear normal everyday clothing. Mitsuru is the only character who could be considered somewhat fashionable, but overall her style is just boring. I take that back. I think Yukari has the most fashion sense. Her pink night slip get up with the belt collar is frikkin' sexy. Lol. I don’t know what there’s for people to understand. Kaneko goes for a modern/post modern fashion style heavily influenced by the punk scene and cyberpunk art. What’s not normal about that…. On second though, yeah, most people don’t get that. I think we’re kinda weird.

Romancing SaGa games are fucking awesome. I love them. All gameplay and no flash. The artwork/music are fantastic as well… Trust be told, I’m a huge RS fanboy. Preach on. Though I have to admit, the only Saga games that I'm truly addicted to are Minstrel Song, & Saga Frontier. RS3 was ok, I think I played the mini games more than the actual game. Already have both. I'm a hardcore fighting game player as well. (Although I'm not as hardcore as the top tourney players in Washington state.) I keep on hearing that about Arcana heart, but every time I watch it all I get is a GG/melty blood vibe, and not a good one. Watching & playing the game are two different beasts. IMO, Arcana Heart looks slow, & boring as fuck. It's one of those games where I actually had to try it out first in order to gauge a fair opinion on it. I don't really play Arcana much. It's just one of those games that surprised the hell out of me with how decent it is. There aren't many new 2d fighting games that don't suck. So you can imagine my bemusement when I finally realized that the hype for some weabo ass game like Arcana is actually well deserved. KOF is aight. It's more of a rush down game imo. My main characters are Yamazaki, Leona, & Billy Kane. As you can see from my choice of characters, I'm more of a defensive type player. Although I play them offensively. Though I have to say, KOF Ultimate match is lookin' good. The reason SF2 sucked was because it eschewed its open world free roam exploration in favour of a more focused narrative. The problem is that I don't play rpgs for story. I play them for the gameplay. (Which is why most Jrpgs suck. Most of them have shit gameplay.) Interesting... so US was actually good, huh. I actually bought that game the first day it came out, and then I returned it the next day. I just couldn't understand the play mechanics, and it doesn't help that instruction manual sucked ass. I was expecting another free roaming game like Saga Frontier, but US seemed to be more of a dungeon crawler like a tabletop game. (I love dungeon crawlers, it's just that wasn't what I was expecting when I bought US for full price.) I never really though of SaGa as a pc rpg per say. I always describe it as some sort of cross breed, like PC and console RPGs had a child after one of their fights. Except neither one of them or their friends liked it and it wandered around lonely and unloved all the time. Well, that does sound more accurate. Games such as Zill O'll http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/zo/ & Sword World http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sword_World_RPG tend to fit more of the Crpg vibe anyway. Saga games definitely have far less choice & consequences when compared to games like Arcanum & Fallout. IMO, Saga games belong in the same category as FF XII, & old school megaten games. In the sense that they feel like hybrids between both Western & Japanese style rpgs. Saga is westernish imo, because of the emphasis on exploration, & classes. You get the freedom to design any party you want. Which is what I usually love about pc games. The freedom to play the way that you want to play. And that he’s always pictured in a field of flowers? I see images of that everywhere. I'm actually the one who originally made those scans. They came from a strategy guide titled "Flowers of Romance". There's a persona 2 ep jp strat guide out that has better pics of Kaneko without the fucking flowers, but they're kinda hard to obtain outside of Japan. (Especially now with how old the games are.) One thing that seems to remain constant with Kaneko, is that he's always rocking all black, and he's usually wearing black shades & a mobster fedora. Kaneko just comes off as homosexual imo, because he doesn't seem to objectify any of his women character designs. Even when he designs butt naked demon women with everything exposed. You still get the impression that he does it for a reason. (A reason not related to titillation.) In a way Kaneko kinda reminds me of David Lynch. They can both get away with parading naked women, and passing it off as art. Mainly because it actually does look like artistic expression when they're behind the wheel. I gotta admit, you look kinda scary there. Kinda like an Asian mobster to be honest. Hah hah, I can't exactly say that it's a coincidence. I actually am acquainted with some Korean folks who happen to be related to Yakuza. I used to be gangsta back in the day, but I completely fucked up my life, and I wasted the last 6 years wasting away playing video games. I have to take some GED classes next month, because there's no more games I want to play. All it took was for Koei to announce that ROTK XII, & Nobunaga's Ambition Kakushin are to be the last & final installments of there strategy franchises. I was addicted as hell to those games. Currently I've been replaying fallout, fallout2, Temple of elemental evil & Arcanum like a mothafucka. I've been trying to get Vampire Masquerade to work, but it keeps crashing on me. Ah man, another game I can't seem to put down is Final Fantasy Tactics. Granted FF Tactics is a watered down, easier version of Let us cling together. I still get hooked onto it anyway, simply for the class system. I never understand peoples complaints about his style, except that they seem to want the same tired anime school boy/girl characters. The popularity of the new guy really supports that and it’s tragic. That seems to be it right there. I love the in game art that Soejima did for Soul Hackers & P2 IS/P2 Ep. Although that was mostly because those pics were modeled after Kaneko's style. Too bad Soejima's art looks like typical animu bullshit without the Kaneko influence. P4 is even more of a disaster because of the goofy Persona designs. Have you ever played Arcanum Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura? I friggin love that game. I bought it back in 2004, but I never played it till now. (There's a new patch that came out last month that fixes most of the bugs, & glitches.) What attracted I to that game was the whole Victorian steampunk aesthetics it had going on. Sadly the Victorian motif is really just decoration, as the game reigns more in fantasy. (Arcanum still kicks ass though, once you get over the shitty combat.) The makers of Arcanum also made Vampire though, which was also somewhat Victorianish, but that's mostly because that game had a heavy goth vibe. I admit, I’m one of those meaningful relationship true love guys. I dress up nice because I just like how it looks. Well, yeah personally. I dress up for myself. I can't stand going out in public if I'm not all geared up in leather gloves & shit. Plus you tend to get more respect when you evoke a more, presentable appearance. < But seriously, women can look class and awesome, and it’s great the work that Kaneko does…. Sigh... that's why I miss Kaneko. He made so many mature looking female designs. I just don't see maturity like that coming from any other male character designer. There's a game out called Dreamfall that has female designs that look sorta Megatenish, but that's only because DF has pretty girls who, actually wear clothes that cover their entire body, lol. I mean I think the bustiest woman he’s drawn is Ulala and by anime standards she’s flatsvill. Ulala is supposed to be flat, she's prolly wearing a padded bra. It's actually Maya Amano who's supposed to be the busty one. (She does look fairly busty in some angles.) She looks like a big C cup, or a borderline D. Hah hah, this is what I like about Kaneko's art. All of his designs have subtle details that stick out. Even though you won't really notice unless you look hard enough. (Maya has the most ample bust size, Eriko looks the most cultured, Lisa has the biggest eyes, Finnegan & Naomi look inscrutable.) The following is Maya's tits modeled in anime style. (In other words, it looks as if her clothes were painted on.) http://dengeki.prohosting.com/kaname/figure/figre703.htm If I recall correctly there was a scene near the end of P2 EP where Ulala constantly berates Maya because Maya gets all the guys. Ulala said something hilarious like "Ma-ya, men are only attracted to you because you have big breasts. Men never check me out, because I'm flat chested.... I'M PRETTIER THAN YOU! " It was something like that, I can't remember. It's the scene at some restaurant when Ulala hurls an assload of insults at Maya. Only to find out that Maya was actually sleeping the entire time, lol. "What, don't tell me you were sleeping while I was grilling on you?" Speaking of which the original Persona heroine Maki, looked quite busty herself. Though she's nowhere near as big breasted as Maya. Maya looks like she could pass for a d-cup. Maki is a straight C. Notice how she looks flat as fuck as an adult. IMO Megaten females only appear flat, because of the way they dress. They usually have more sophisticated fashion sense, when compared to most videogame characters. In the real world. Some women often cover their selves up from head to toe in order to avoid snide remarks & being hit on by random ass men. (A lot of times a guy will act as if he owns the woman, simply because they exposed some cleavage and the guy saw it, hah imbeciles.) Lol. I don’t know what there’s for people to understand. Kaneko goes for a modern/post modern fashion style heavily influenced by the punk scene and cyberpunk art. What’s not normal about that…. Another thing that I digged about Kaneko is that a lot of Kaneko's designs looked like they were inspired by real people. Shaisuke a dead Japanese bassist, and DS3 Kuzunoha. Not only does Kaneko seem to take inspiration from real world personalities. He even borrows their life stories. Yuko Asano, a famous milf actress who often plays bitchy step mom roles. Not unlike Junko Kurosu from P2 IS, who's also a famous actress who happens to be a hardcore bitch to her son & ex. That Olivia chick's life seems to be the background story for Lisa Silverman, but it's actually Lisa Silverman's friend who ended up with Olvia Lufkinish looks. Olivia used to be part of a japanese pop girl trio called D&D. Muses seems to be a direct rip off. Considering that both groups consist of two j wenches & one foreigner. Muses & D&D even made similar sounding music. http://hk.youtube.com/watch?v=I3dFfU5qnvE The music sounds like shit, just like Muses. (Not that people ever listened to d&d for the music anyway. Shit, that Olivia girl looked good.) On second though, yeah, most people don’t get that. I think we’re kinda weird. I suppose so. As much as I hate to admit it. I remember the 2 years that I attended high school. The teachers kept calling me unique & shit, because I actually looked different when compared to the rest of the kids. Hell, I always got grouped up with the goths, even though my style is more mafiaso/ urban pimp inspired. You know how it is during high school. All the brats are wearing namebrands like nike & shit. If you didn't wear a name brand you're considered an outcast. (Hilarious imo though, because I'd be coming to school rocking leather coats & suits.) I remember my counselor started laughing at me when I told her I was normal. (I do think I'm normal btw. I just think that everyone else is weird. Although that's probably a key sign of being eccentric.) When I think about it I could see why she thought it was hilarious. When I think back to my teen years. Most people where nothing more than blatant copy cats of each other, or whatever the current meme of the day was. So it must've been a breath of fresh air to actually see a student who actually had their own style for once. It must've been the same fresh air that I felt about Megaten back when it used to have it's own unique style. Now Megaten looks like Nippon Ichi, lol.

KIRBY 7- 08-05-2008

OMFG DEVIL SUMMONER VS, nah I'm just playing. This game looks like shit. http://i37.tinypic.com/1z3w58j.jpg http://i33.tinypic.com/15mfb5u.jpg Still no sign of Kaneko. This looks more like Soejima's art from Persona 2 & Soul Hackers. (Which is much preferred over P3 & P4, but still...) IMO, the SMT IF timeline was about as light hearted as megaten should've ever been. BTW have you seen Silver Case 25 Ward yet? forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=39" target="_blank">http://killer7.6.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=39 25 Ward looks gritty. EDIT: Well I'll be damned. Kaneko really is involved. (PS2) Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha Versus King Abaddon/Atlus -10/23 release date -7329 Yen -Producer and Character designer is Kazuma Kaneko -Director is Kamai Kazuyuki -Same Raidou from the previous game -Greater numbers of demons -Ending route can change depending on the player's actions -Location will not be limited to only Imperial Tokyo this time -New 'MAG Scheduling' battle system -80% complete -Plus Edition comes with Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Manaix Chronicle Edition For some reason it didn't really look like his style imo, because I recall Kaneko's art looking a bit darker, more gothic than that.

Damn, I have to respond quicker. It takes me forever to respond. You respond within a week and it’s a month for me…. Preach on. Though I have to admit, the only Saga games that I'm truly addicted to are Minstrel Song, & Saga Frontier. RS3 was ok, I think I played the mini games more than the actual game. Well RSMS and SaGa Frontier are hands down the best in the series. Did you try RS 2 though? It’s the best of the Snes batch. Hmmm, I’ll have to take a look then. The game seems to have quieted down though. When push comes to shove it’s always down to 3S and the newest GG game when it comes to 2d. Personally, I’m waiting for the new Virtua Fighter. It looks awesome. I think of KOF as more of a zoning game. You are exceedingly aggressive but on the flip side there’s a lot of defensive options. As a series it tends to vary a lot from game to game in terms of quality. The reason SF2 sucked was because it eschewed its open world free roam exploration in favour of a more focused narrative. The problem is that I don't play rpgs for story. I play them for the gameplay. (Which is why most Jrpgs suck. Most of them have shit gameplay.) No argument here. I’m with you 100% Interesting... so US was actually good, huh. (I love dungeon crawlers, it's just that wasn't what I was expecting when I bought US for full price.) It definitely has a dungeon crawler feel, but it’s still RS at it’s core. Lots of characters, lots of freedom, etc. The game does have a very steep learning curve which is why it didn’t get much of a chance. People hate working for their games. Zill O'll http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/zo/ & Sword World http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sword_World_RPG tend to fit more of the Crpg vibe anyway. Actually, they look really interesting. Hmmm, gotta look into this… Saga games definitely have far less choice & consequences when compared to games like Arcanum & Fallout. Ironically enough I’d always wanted to play fallout but kept on putting off. The past two weeks I said fuck it and beat fallout 1-2 straight through. They’re amazing games. I was very impressed. Completely agree. Though I rarely play PC RPG’s. You know why? Because I find their combat systems terrible. I hate most CRPG combat systems. They’re clunky, poorly designed, and lack any sort of flexibility. At least the ones I’ve played. I admit I like my JRPG turn based menu based combat systems. And, I’ll be honest, I don’t dig the whole “roleplaying” thing. I’m a mechanics based RPG gamer and CRPGs tend to be clogged with roleplaying. I mean, alignment and real affects based on your actions is awesome, but I don’t know. I always found it a hassle to do things in CRPGs… One thing that seems to remain constant with Kaneko, is that he's always rocking all black, and he's usually wearing black shades & a mobster fedora. Yeah, he always looks like he should be in a detective movie… which is ironic because I heard somewhere him and Cozy love those style of movies (Thus the original Devil Summoner). Good luck with the GED classes man. Wait, are you serious? That’s the end of those series? Damn, there is no god. I fucking love ROTK and NA…. Currently I've been replaying fallout, fallout2, Temple of elemental evil & Arcanum like a mothafucka. I respond to this post a bit at a time, instead of reading it over and making a complete response. But Fallout 1 and 2 again… Man, I gotta say it again…. Isn’t it fucking creepy we play all the same games? I've been trying to get Vampire Masquerade to work, but it keeps crashing on me. Ah man, another game I can't seem to put down is Final Fantasy Tactics. Granted FF Tactics is a watered down, easier version of Let us cling together. I still get hooked onto it anyway, simply for the class system. Is VM any good? One of my friends is trying to get me to play it… As for FFt, it’s honestly a good game. The class system rocks. But you hit the nail on the head. It’s a weak TO…. Yeah… at least Kanekos back for the new DS… Have you ever played Arcanum Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura? I friggin love that game. I bought it back in 2004, but I never played it till now. (There's a new patch that came out last month that fixes most of the bugs, & glitches.) What attracted I to that game was the whole Victorian steampunk aesthetics it had going on. Never heard of Magick Obscura but always wanted to play Arcanum. I’ve actually been looking into acquiring a copy. As for Magick Obscura I’ll take a look around. Plus you tend to get more respect when you evoke a more, presentable appearance. However cliché it sounds, I don’t care about the respect. I just want to be myself. (Damn that sounded cheesy) Sigh... that's why I miss Kaneko. He made so many mature looking female designs. I just don't see maturity like that coming from any other male character designer. There's a game out called Dreamfall that has female designs that look sorta Megatenish, but that's only because DF has pretty girls who, actually wear clothes that cover their entire body, lol. Another game to add to my list of looking up. But yeah, I mean, I like the look of slutty girls. I am a guy. But classy has something more to it. And I respect any man who can design it and make it look good… She looks like a big C cup, or a borderline D. Hah hah, this is what I like about Kaneko's art. All of his designs have subtle details that stick out. Even though you won't really notice unless you look hard enough. (Maya has the most ample bust size, Eriko looks the most cultured, Lisa has the biggest eyes, Finnegan & Naomi look inscrutable.) Still, C-D, tiny by anime standards. If I recall correctly there was a scene near the end of P2 EP where Ulala constantly berates Maya because Maya gets all the guys. I bow out to your superior knowledge. I must admit your megaten related breast knowledge far supersedes mine.  Another thing that I digged about Kaneko is that a lot of Kaneko's designs looked like they were inspired by real people. Shit, that Olivia girl looked good.) Interesting. I gotta admit I never knew these things. I never really did much research on the art and style. I just enjoyed it. Most of my research was based on the religious overtones and undertones, since I’m big into that sort of thing… I suppose so. (Hilarious imo though, because I'd be coming to school rocking leather coats & suits.) I hear it’s like that in a lot of places. I gotta admit my school was pretty lax. People didn’t bother you, the teachers actually cared, and you could actually express yourself and not get shit. From what I gather this is rather unusual…. It must've been the same fresh air that I felt about Megaten back when it used to have it's own unique style. Now Megaten looks like Nippon Ichi, lol. Maybe someday, someday, it’ll get back to it’s roots. Sigh. I mean, Nocturne was a amazing and it wasn’t too long ago. Hopefully they’ll get back to that….

It takes me forever to respond. You respond within a week and it’s a month for me…. It doesn't matter. I sometimes take a month to respond to you myself. The main reason I respond quicker now is because this forum isn't as active as it used to be. Did you try RS 2 though? It’s the best of the Snes batch. I played it, but never got anywhere. It sorta seemed more story focused like SF2. I'm waiting for an English patch. I'm getting sick & tired of playing games in Japanese all the time. I swear there were way too many stellar games that never made it out of Japan. I've seen several hardcore saga fans who've also said that RS2 is the best. (Out of the snes sagas) So I should play through it sometime. new Virtua Fighter. It looks awesome. There's a new VF? As in VF6, or is that the upgrade that reintroduces Taka-arashi? My fave character is Aoi, but I suck with her. (My main is Akira, because it's so easy to win with him.) As a series it tends to vary a lot from game to game in terms of quality. True. I pretty much quit playing KOF after 2000. I own almost every Kof from 95 all the way to 2003. (I'm missing is 96, & 97.) I heard that XI was almost as good as 98 though. (I ordered XI before, but amazon never sent my copy to me, lol.) It definitely has a dungeon crawler feel, but it’s still RS at it’s core. Lots of characters, lots of freedom, etc. The game does have a very steep learning curve which is why it didn’t get much of a chance. I think the main problem was the lack of a serviceable tutorial mode, or a more in depth instruction manual. Whenever I lurk at US boards. I see them talking about stuff that I didn't even know you could do, because I only owned the game for a day. Actually, they look really interesting. Hmmm, gotta look into this… Here's some more interesting Jrpgs/Dungeon crawlers stuck in Japan. Hungry Ghosts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BWuXHZ_Y9s Shadow Tower Abyss http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=9013005305066739690 I hated the original SH, but Abyss looks like it improved over everything that I hated about the original. I rarely play PC RPG’s. You know why? Because I find their combat systems terrible. I hate most CRPG combat systems. They’re clunky, poorly designed, and lack any sort of flexibility. At least the ones I’ve played. I admit I like my JRPG turn based menu based combat systems. Yeah most modern PC rpgs dp have shitacular combat. Mainly the ones made by Bioware, & Bethesda. Most pc rpg gamers are usually more into turn based combat though. (They don't consider Oblivion, Morrowind, Baldur's gate and the like as true rpgs.) However the PC rpg version of turn/menu based combat is a bit more complex. The "Realms of Arkania" games come to mind. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Realms_of_Arkania:_Star_Trail To me this is what true pc rpgs play like. (No I never got into them myself. Way too much micro managing.) You should try out Temple of Elemental Evil. It has the best (most intuitive & complex) combat system I've seen out of any rpg. Though I still have a soft spot for the original Grandia, and the randomness of the Saga games. The formation system reminds me of the original persona, and the actual fighting is tactical like Tactics Ogre. Remember how every single battle in the original Persona felt like it's own individual puzzle? (In the sense that one wrong move could get you killed.) That's exactly what Temple of Elemental Evil is like. Unfortunately the battle system is the only thing that's good about TOEE. Yet on the plus side that's how fucking good the battle system is. I'm a bit peeved that nobody has ever reused TOEE's battle system for a console based game. You should also try out Lands of Lore, World of Xeen, for a more SMT styled game. When it comes to pc rpgs I'm mostly into the ones that were made by the Troika team. They did the first two Fallouts, Arcanum & Temple of Elemental Evil. Arcanum had the best roleplay, TOEE had the best combat, Fallout had the best of both worlds. Wait, are you serious? That’s the end of those series? Damn, there is no god. I fucking love ROTK and NA…. I first heard that rumour at Kongming.net, and Koei Warriors. (They heard if first from a Japanese Koei employee.) It seems to be true, because Koei hasn't announced a new NA game since 2006, and they haven't bothered to announce a new ROTK yet. (Koei is working on more Gundam Musou games.) I'll be satisfied as long as Koei eventually makes ROTK XIII. I'm hoping that there's still one in the works at least. But Fallout 1 and 2 again… Man, I gotta say it again…. Isn’t it fucking creepy we play all the same games? Hey, you have good taste in games, hah hah. Is VM any good? The dialogue reminds me of the original Persona games. The characters have a lot of personality. There's even a hot chick who kills her sister, except her sister is actually a split personality of herself. So she ended up shooting her own brains out, lol. The gameplay & user interface reminds me of Deus Ex. Unfortunately the combat sucks ass. (The combat is similar to Oblivion.) I uninstalled VM because it frozed too much on my computer. It did seem like a pretty good game though. VM had what it took to be the next Persona imo. When it comes to an insanely f'ed up plot, and funny ass dialogue. (By funny I'm referring more to cynical Ulala/Yukino style dialogue rather than Eikichi/Mark comic relief.) As for Magick Obscura I’ll take a look around. Magick Obscura is just the subtitle for Arcanum. They're actually the same game. I accidentally wrote "and" when I wrote the title. The full title of the game is "Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura" However cliché it sounds, I don’t care about the respect. I just want to be myself. (Damn that sounded cheesy) I concur. I'm myself all the time. Life used to suck for me until I stopped giving a damn about what people thought, and started doing everything of my own accord. Still, C-D, tiny by anime standards. Can't argue with that, lol. I bow out to your superior knowledge. I must admit your megaten related breast knowledge far supersedes mine.  Heh.... I guess it's just something I picked up while living in Japan. In japan there's a lot of women who have horrible fashion sense. (As in full body muu muus) One thing that you start to realize about most of these horridly dressed women. Is that a lot of them have curves. (They prolly dress like that on purpose. In order to hide their figures.) So you start to train your eye to look at the shape of the bust area in relation with the rest of their body shape. I don't know I can't explain it. All I know was that I was amazed when I saw how accurately this Jrock guy guessed every single women's bust size just from looking at their chest area. (While fully clothed.) Men in Japan are so perverted, that it's contagious. I actually wasn't perverted at all before I came to Japan. I mean I was, but I wasn't shameless like I am now. Interesting. I gotta admit I never knew these things. I never really did much research on the art and style. I just enjoyed it. Nah it wasn't research. I lived in Japan when both Persona 2 games came out, and it was obvious that most of the designs were based off of some popular celebrities during the time that the games were made. (The original Persona was modeled after small town prefectures in Japan, and '95 youth sub culture. Alana/Ayase being the most obvious example.) I once believed that Maya Amano was based off of Miho Nakayama, because Maya seemed to be directly inspired by a character that Miho played as in one of her dramas. (I think the personalities they shared was just a coincidence.) Tatsuya also seemed to be based off of the actor Tomoya Nagase. I think he's also just a coincidence. Although both Nagase & Nakayama are normally casted as leading roles in their respective shows. (Some people say think it's actually Katsuya who was insipred by Nagase.) However it is obvious that Tatsuya's gear was based off of Michael Jackson's thriller, lol. It's similar to how Balrog/M. Bison from SFII was obviously based off of Mike Tyson. It's just something that you pick up once you see the similarities. IMO, the original Persona games had as many Japanese sub culture references as the Earthbound/Mother games do. Which is why P3 & P4 are far less interesting, because they're more anime influenced, and not as wacky insane with the real world references as the former games. That, and most of the characters are fucking stale. Every single character in P3 had the same problem. They were afraid of death. The original Persona games had characters that had far more complex traumas to overcome in order to become whole with their selves. Maybe someday, someday, it’ll get back to it’s roots. Sigh. I mean, Nocturne was a amazing and it wasn’t too long ago. Hopefully they’ll get back to that…. I'm going to have to disagree. 2003 was a long, long time ago in video game terms. Most game generations only last 5 years at the most. What disappoints me most is that I used to look forward to every megaten game back in the day. Now in days it seems that the only decent ones will be the main series. Which normally takes a half a decade or two just to see a sequel. (I believe that we'll see at least one new Megaten in the vein of Nocturne, it's just going to take forever before it comes to fruition.) I hope that atlus hires some new musicians for once. I'm sick & tired of Shoji Meguro. I still remember how fresh Persona's music sounded when I first heard it, and they still sound fresh till this day. Persona Be Your True Mind "Freezing Mind" http://youtube.com/watch?v=sAdiN-Ta5nU Persona 2 Innocent Sin OST: Smile Hirasaka http://youtube.com/watch?v=tKOPWKnLi18 Persona 2: Innocent Sin - Boss Battle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMTTUYRFc58 Persona 2 Innocent Sin OST: GOLD Gym http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLVtouXs4PU&NR=1 I also loved the creepy dungeon music from SOul Hackers, and the soothing electronica from spiral nemesis. I liked how most of the megaten spin offs back then utilized different styles of music. The problem I have with Shoji Meguro is that every single ost he works on sounds exactly like DDS. (DDS had good music, but I don't want every megaten game to have the same style of music) I've decided to move on for the time being. Have you played Etrian Odyssey for the DS? http://www.atlus.com/etrian2/ They play more like an old school megaten game more so than the actual (PS2) megatens do. Etrian Odyssey's battle system feels like Soul Hackers, mixed with the dungeon crawling of the original SMT, & Persona. (I think it's weird how the original persona is actually one of the more complex megatens, gameplay wise.) I get my megaten fix these days from EO (Megaten style gameplay), & Suda 51's Kill the Past themed games, Moonlight Syndrome, "Flower, Sun, & Rain", Silver Case. (Megaten style music, & abstract plots.)

ferlanga- 09-03-2008

I have a question: who is Steven (the guy in the wheelchair)? is he just a device to progress in the games or something else, I mean, hes in a fucking wheelchair but he survived a nuclear bomb in the first SMT, then you find it everywhere in the most dangerous places where anybody, much less a quadriplegic, would survive from demons.

SecondaryCharacter- 09-29-2008

Well, i feel so useless after those huge explanation, but here is my lil sand: 1-Samantha is killed and raped to death by the order or by the same Harman, in a revenge about being so kind with him. Maybe the catatonic Harman get the walking ability after Garcian discover the truth, something like as someone said, the wheelchair and that Harman are only to keep Garcian in killing his past. I don`t really thought about this before so much. 2-Kun Lan can talk with anything he wants. He has the god hand, i read somewhere it bring back people to life... so better clear what is dead and what is alive in Killer7  I can`t really tell more.

Isoulle- 10-14-2008

Over a month and I still don't have a reply. Ugh. My life's at a pretty busy/shitty point right now. I'll see if I can have one soon though...

PhasE- 10-14-2008

After seeing Isoulle's avatar I can't help to go off topic but Joe Kucan the actor for Kane hasn't aged much for the past 13 years. Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 looks fun, Empire of the Rising Sun and full of female models.

Isoulle- 11-02-2008

Finally. I really need to get more free time.... 1. Definitely try RS2. But be forewarned, it's INSANELY hard. 2. Yeah, VF5R, the one with Arashi. Really? Akira easy to win with? His moves are insane to do and he's all linear attacks. He is ever so vulnerable to side stepping unless you have a good grasp of Nitaku and reverse nitaku. 3. KOF XI is okay, it's a bit to fast paced and I'm not huge on tag games. Kof 2002 is pretty awesome (It and 98 are the two played in tournies) 4. As for US it was designed to be confusing with a bad manual (No joke). The designer stated he wanted people to mess around and work together by talking online to figure out what the games about. 5. Fallour is awesome, I can't wait to get 3. As for Lands of Lore and World of Xeen this is no joke, I played them to like the last level each when I was like 8-10 years old. I loved them. They were the only PC's RPG's I really played. 6. Arcanum is actually on my list of games to pick up. Just have been VERY busy. 7. I admit I've never been to Japan but from everything I've seen/heard they are creepily perverted. 8. I don't hate P3 for having all the characters be afraid of death. I like a cohesive theme. I hate PS3 for a large number of other reasons  9. They've been talking about a new SMT game forever. Here's hoping we actually get it. (It's SUPPOSED to be their first new Gen megaten game) 10. I'm actually with you on Shoji Meguro. I really like his stuff but it's getting repetitive. And DDS/DDS2 were by far his best works. (Say what you will about the games quality but I loved the soundtracks for those games. Never liked SH's music, found it really bland. But I loved Spiral Nemesis music a lot. (Why ahsn't anyone translated it, the games amazing!) 11. Him, EO looks interesting. I'll definitely have to examine... I've got plenty of quality games I have yet to beat. Hell, there's even still a few megaten games left. (Megami Tensei 1, Soul Hackers) And for Phase E C&C = amazing. I played RA 3 in beta. It's pretty fun. Sadly I much prefer the Tiberium games stories.

KIRBY 7- 11-25-2008

2. Yeah, VF5R, the one with Arashi. Really? Akira easy to win with? His moves are insane to do and he's all linear attacks. He is ever so vulnerable to side stepping unless you have a good grasp of Nitaku and reverse nitaku. Of course he's easy to win with. Have you played as Akira before? His damage properties are sick. He's almost as strong as Wolf & Jeffery. Sure his moves are linear, but at least most of his moves consist of singular fast dashes, shoulder tackles & elbows. (Rather than a series of punches & kicks like the rest of the cast.) So you don't exactly leave yourself wide open like an average striker would. (Anyway I usually go for that side step shoulder tackle that he does when ever I do miss.) Now granted, Akira is not exactly the best character to use for a beginner, but I'm not exactly a beginner. (My main was Pai back when I first started VF, twelve yrs. ago. I gradually moved up to Akira as the years went on.) IMO, Akira is easier to use when you have him crouching toward your opponent. (Most of his combos & moves seem easier to pull off from the crouching position.) IMO, Goh Hinogami is the real character that takes skill to win with. (It still takes effort to beat down people with GOh even when you gain a basis for the flow of his character.) I usually rely on his shin kick, and then follow up with a grapple, because I can't really do anything else with him. GOh is too damn slow. He seems to be a pure grappler imo. (He has a couple of decent punches, but they're only good enough to set your opponent up for a throw.) Like I said earlier the one character who I really want to learn is Aoi. She's a decent striker, but she seems to truly shine when it comes to counter attacks. Unlike AKira you can't just ignore her grapple game, because her reversals comprise the meat of her move set. (AKira only has one or two, and the counters he has are relatively easy to pull off when compared to Aoi.) Whereas my Akira usually plays like a power house. 5. Fallour is awesome, I can't wait to get 3. As for Lands of Lore and World of Xeen this is no joke, I played them to like the last level each when I was like 8-10 years old. I loved them. They were the only PC's RPG's I really played. As well as the only ones that you need to play. I really want to try out Wizardry 8 sometime. Nobody makes good dungeon crawlers anymore. I might as well go try out the last great one. 6. Arcanum is actually on my list of games to pick up. Just have been VERY busy. Judging from your taste in games. I think you'd be better off with "Temple of Elemental Evil". I'd only recommend Arcanum if you loved Fallout for the roleplaying. The actual combat of Arcanum sucks ass when compared to Fallout. Temple of Elemental Evil seems to be more your speed since it's a dungeon crawler, and the gameplay is hardcore as hell. (Especially iron man mode.) You like Romancing Saga, and I assume that you like RS games for the combat as I do. (Besides the beautiful music & art of course.) Which is why I advise that you pick up Temple of Elemental Evil instead. You're going to love the tactic heavy combat of TOEE. (RS & TOEE have nothing in common. Save for the fact that both games are centered around combat & dungeons.) 7. I admit I've never been to Japan but from everything I've seen/heard they are creepily perverted. They are. Women dress like hoes in Japan. Not that I'm complaining. I'm from Vegas. 8. I don't hate P3 for having all the characters be afraid of death. I like a cohesive theme. I hate PS3 for a large number of other reasons  Well obviously that's not the main reason for I either, but I don't care to recite why I hate P3 & P4, because I already have way too many times in this forum already. Basically the P2 games were about as mainstream a megaten as I could handle. Anything lower than that just makes Persona feel like it's part of a completely different franchise that is non megaten. As far as cohesiveness goes.... hah. What you call cohesiveness, I call laziness. Apathy is all the rage these days. P3 was about as shallow as they come. That game was just a blender of genres packaged into one. All atlus really did was copy & paste the dialogue trees for piratically everybody save for Yukari. (Not that she's any better mind you. They just made her even more shallow than the rest of the cast.) Since when did apathy become hip & cool anyway? The British are apathetic all the time. You don't see them trying to turn it into a fashion statement. Well enough about P3. Have you seen the la-*test*-('") Megaten game? It's animu BUllshit! 10. (Why ahsn't anyone translated it, the games amazing!) The OST from the DDS games is actually one of the only things that I like about the games in the first place. (That & Cello's shmup mini game in DDS 2.) I'd go as far and say that DDS 2 had one of the top ost's out of all the megatens. Spiral Nemesis had the best electronica score imo. The original Persona, & Spiral Nemesis are my favorite megaten osts. Have you noticed how almost every single megaten series has sucked ass since the third installment? (Majin Tensei Ronde, Devil Summoner Kuzunoha Raido, Persona 3, etc.) Only Nocturne managed to retain a serviceable atmosphere & gameplay elements of its first two games. Most of the music in SH are bullshit, but I found the dungeon themes to be quite atmospheric, and foreboding. Most of the dungeon songs sounded like an evil carnival. These songs are hardcore. Devil Summoner 2 Soul hackers "Sea arc 11f Extra dungeon" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8nafyepIfo Megaten games these days don't sound anywhere near as dark & evil as this. Devil Summoner 2 Soul Hackers "Algon headquarters" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LN32eZa-rYo Devil Summoner 2 Soul Hackers "Redman" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-APZgOFHzzM Devil Summoner 2 Soul Hackers "Virtual Horror House" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7nEqCSD9QI The songs above actually sound like music that was specifically made to fit the atmosphere of the level. Whereas most of Shoji Meguro's music just sounds like music that you dance to. Nothing wrong with that. I just feel that Soul Hacker's music had more sophistication than most current megaten osts. I used to think that the SH ost sucked myself, because the main battle song is atrocious. (Which happens to be the main theme that you hear through out the game. SH should've stuck with the SMT battle theme remix from the first vision quest.) I'm currently in the process of uploading some SH songs. To show you why I think the dungeon themes rock. You don't even get to hear most of these themes in their entirety in the game, because the songs restart after every encounter. 11. Him, EO looks interesting. I'll definitely have to examine... I've got plenty of quality games I have yet to beat. Hell, there's even still a few megaten games left. (Megami Tensei 1, Soul Hackers) Don't be fooled by the childish art style. EO is definitely more hardcore megaten/dungeon crawler then any of the current megaten games. Gameplay wise you'll feel right at home with EO if you play it right after nes Megami Tensei, & SH. Although you have to build your own parties from scratch like Wizardry & World of Xeen rather than actually recruiting them from the battlefield. BTW have you seen the la-*test*-('") trailer for Kingdom Under fire 2? I was worried that the game may have changed direction at first, because o the orchestrated music. Only to find out that the bgm was actually some badass orchestral progressive rock cut. KUF 2 looks as fun as ever. I was pumped up for it until I realized that it's a damn MMO...............

Isoulle- 12-22-2008

Finally, I post. And in less then a month. Woot! Not by much but still. I apologize if there’s some mistakes, I’m pretty sick right now which has given me the time to type mind you. Still means I’m a bit out of it. (Most of his combos & moves seem easier to pull off from the crouching position.) Akira’s pretty easy to stop in VF5 with proper use of Sabiki’s, side steps, and jabs. Aside from his ->-> punch and ->->-> punch post of his moves are medium moves with a high lag time, a surprising number of them leading to guaranteed throw positions. Once you block one of his moves you can usually put him on the defense with jabs and solid mixup. And most characters possess fast high attacks that can be used for high damage against him. He was amazing in VF4 but in 5’s he is very middle tier (Though VF tiers are much closer then other games). As long as you play it cool and don’t go all the willy nilly on the offense you should be fine. He does crazy damage on counter hit so don’t get counter hit. IMO, Goh Hinogami is the real character that takes skill to win with. (It still takes effort to beat down people with GOh even when you gain a basis for the flow of his character.) I usually rely on his shin kick, and then follow up with a grapple, because I can't really do anything else with him. GOh is too damn slow. He seems to be a pure grappler imo. (He has a couple of decent punches, but they're only good enough to set your opponent up for a throw.) Actually Goh’s my character of choice. He was AWFUL in 4 but he’s actually good in 5. He seems like a grappler but the way the throw mechanics in VF work there are no “throw” characters. Most characters can do over half the different throw types and good players buffer evacs into everything. He is very slow but your objective is not to go all pure agro with him, he’s not Pai or Jacky. Goh is a close quarter control character. You’re objective with him is to deny you opponent options. You use sabaki’s to gain the offense and you use his good throw game to mix up with his striking attacks. His 3punch is a good quick poke medium to mix up and put your opponent on defense. His 66punch is his standard overhead. His shoulder ram is great for punishing high attacks. You use his backturn from pk to mixup with either a throw or a fast, unpunishable medium. His 46 punch is used to stop high punches and other high attacks. Use his anti’s sidestep to mess up peoples wakeups. His 4PK is used for punishing people for really big mistakes. His 6k is a huge opener for combos on counter hit and is the primary punishment tool. He sadly lacks good circulars and you have to use KG and 66KG(I think that’s the notation) to punish side stepping. His 66PG throw is used to shut down people who ETEG or DTEG by being slightly delayed. I also think I heard it stops fuzzy guard but since me and my friends aren’t great there hasn’t been -*test*-('")ing. As for his low attacks, don’t use the shin kick. It’s a guaranteed hit/throw position. Use his 3KG. It’s safer and on counter hit does way more damage when you use the followup. When this is combined with good throws your opponent has to be careful of what he does. Goh is a very jack of all trades character in a lot of ways. You gotta throw out all your tools to mess up your opponent. Like I said earlier the one character who I really want to learn is Aoi. She's a decent striker, but she seems to truly shine when it comes to counter attacks. Unlike AKira you can't just ignore her grapple game, because her reversals comprise the meat of her move set. (AKira only has one or two, and the counters he has are relatively easy to pull off when compared to Aoi.) Aoi is kinda boring in my mind. She has very few good strikes and in VF no character can rely on throws. Her throw game is great but reversals are too finiky on timing especially considering that they don’t do a lot of damage and a counter hit vs them is like half her life gone right there. She’s mostly about baiting the enemy and using her stance to side step and cause stomach crumple for some damage (Not a lot, she’s the lowest damage char in the game). She also has her breaks which are kinda cool. The ability to break combo strings and either start new ones or go for throws is quite nice. I like her in theory but not on practice. As well as the only ones that you need to play. I really want to try out Wizardry 8 sometime. Nobody makes good dungeon crawlers anymore. I might as well go try out the last great one. Yeah, I’ve been meaning to do that myself. Right now though it’s Romancing Saga MS. Currently trying to beat the jewel beast and ten fatesone saurin. Save for the fact that both games are centered around combat & dungeons.) Sounds cool. My only fear is that I’m not a fan of DnD gameplay/combat mechanics. As opposed to Romancing SaGa games which have some of the best combat mechanics ever. (I give a nod to SMT games for lots of cool stuff like press turns. God I love press turns) They are. Women dress like hoes in Japan. Not that I'm complaining. I'm from Vegas. And here I am from the innocent old land of Canada. Well obviously that's not the main reason for I either, but I don't care to recite why I hate P3 & P4, because I already have way too many times in this forum already. Um, it’s been that way for a while. Hate to break it to you but being apathetic has been cool for a long time. I had always heard the Japan was very much like that, can I get a confirmation? Have you seen the la-*test*-('") Megaten game? It's animu BUllshit! Oh my god the artwork, it’s hideous. It’s actually worse then p3/p4’s If you want to hear me rant about it go to the Gamefaqs message boards for the game. You’ll see me bitching out these new school kids who call themselves megaten fans. I’m under my classic name King of Dusk there. The OST from the DDS games is actually one of the only things that I like about the games in the first place. (That & Cello's shmup mini game in DDS 2.) I'd go as far and say that DDS 2 had one of the top ost's out of all the megatens. I must admit, I have a slight soft spot for DDS 1 and 2. Not in that I really like them but in the I don’t hate them. I actually like them about as much as the P2 games. They’re both as mainstream as Megaten is allowed to be. DDS gets points over P2 for being post apocalyptic and actually a lot darker despite being mainstream. It’s very odd. That and it has press turns. Actually I can do a comparison of the two and in my mind they’re about equal as the mediocre portion of the Megatne series. Ronde’s not great, but it is better then most give it credit for. And at least it’s megatne hard. The game is ABSOLUTELY brutal. It’s one of the hardest games in the entire series. Actually, it may just be the hardest I’ve played. Never played Raido but it looks pretty meh. And I must admit I love my Nocturne, even more then the original two. Sure I miss some things but Nocturne had it in all the right places. Better written, better thought out, press turns, functional skill inheritance, a good balance in level/skill design, longer then the other two, more challenging. It was just quality. I gotta agree that it had good, atmospheric music. But the battle themes were so bad. I suppose it is a trade off but still it didn’t arise the passion in me that Megaten soundtracks often done. Personally My favorite Megaten OST’s are, Megami Tensei 2, Spiral Nemesis, Nocturne, DDS 1 and 2 as well as Persona 1. SMT 1 and 2 also have a special place in my heart. Actually have you ever heard the SMT 9 sountrack? It has a lot of SMT 1 remixes in it. It’s actually pretty cool. Yeah, I remember watching the trailer and thinking, alright this is cool but the music is all wrong. And then bam, it hits with good old fashioned KUF music. As for the MMO thing, I like MMO games where you kill each other. Besides, unless they changed it the game is going to also have a full single player campaign so as to make everyone happy.

2-Kun Lan can talk with anything he wants. You know, I'm not sure. I watched the scene with Kun & Matsuken again, and my opinion is: Matsuken didn't hear a word from that what Kun said. He just look forward, then suddenly reacts to him. Maybe he also didn't hear what that two politicians said, because he was so surprised when Kun started to change him, didn't even try to run or resist. I suppose that only Killer 7 can hear Kun and all his creatures. And only mad people can see them.
