Anyone checked these out yet?
Anime series during fall and winter 2007 were kinda slim pickings for me but so far there have been a bunch I really enjoyed: - Seirei no Moribito - Dennou Coil - Moyashimon - Minami-ke - Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Persona Trinity Soul I saw the first episode for recently, it was alright. I'll be keeping an eye out for more of that later on. Most definitely looking foward to seeing Kite:Liberator .

nice list in what kind of genre are these ? is it more action,comedy..or maybe even school life ? :D any familiar names to add to these anime? thanks

I've watched the first episode of Persona: Trinity Soul -- doesn't seem like it's subbed yet so I can't really comment on plot, but the animation is nice. Was good to hear some of the tracks kept from the P3 in there too. Only other anime series I've watched recently was Darker Than Black which I really enjoyed.

I always hear two opinions about Gurren: 1. It's generic shounen 2. It's the most epic fucking thing 2007 has ever experienced I'm willing to check it out... Minami-ke annoyed me, not my type of series. Darker than Black is worth watching just for the opening (NOW I'VE LOST IT), but it's also a good show. Never got to see the end, though, because it got liscensed early.

Darker than Black had some promise, but I thought Studio Bones could've done so much more in the end. Soundtrack by Yoko Kanno still kicks ass. Seirei no Moribito - japanese fantasy Denno Coil - sci fi Moyashimon - slice of life in college plus some inserts of microbiology Minami-ke - slice of life comedy centering around 3 sisters Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann - sci fi Much of the information about those titles is available on wiki and various anime blogs, so you can get a quick glimpse of what they're like before you decide to check them out. Minami-ke had its funny moments but yeah, general turn-off was the redundancy. Pretty much turned my brain off and chuckled randomly. Not going to check out a second season of that though. Gurren Lagann I thought had a great build up until just a little over half the series, then I couldn't take it seriously. It is epic in all forms of ridiculous attempts at uber awesomeness, and the end result is subjective. The series was simply meant to be fun and not overly deep and engaging as some people tend to take it.

They only seemed to start giving answers with DTB right in the last few episodes... then it was all over. I have heard they're doing an OVA to tie things up. Not much of a cast left to continue with though. I keep hearing about Gurren Lagann, going to have to give that one a try.

I really enjoy Gurren Lagann, but I really can't bring myself to watch the remaining episodes, for some reason.

Live action movie of golgo13, when did that come? news to me. Hmm, before getting carried away by tv series i want to make sure of animation cels/tone and sex scenes will be there resembling old golgo style.

Woah, there's gonna be a Golgo 13 TV Series? DO WANT, but I just hope they don't tone it down for the TV (as they did with the second season of Gunslinger Girl). Five Killers looks to be good for the fight scenes, same with Appleseed EX. I saw the first ep of Trinity Soul, it's actually alright. No "evokers" or "dark hour" BS, just mystery and occultish forshadowing. It's got a lot less poppy high school crap as well, so it might be good. Yeah, I'd have to agree that badass anime is less frequent, the days of HnK are over. Oh well, manga's still badass with stuff like Biomega.

The youngest brother in Trinity Soul has issues, I smell a trap. The preview really piqued my curiosity, I saw someone who resembled P2's Yukino Mayuzumi in there.

Liked the first episode, the characters as usual not attractive but the other animtion, environments+sounds/music able to create atmosphere in some scenes. i hope they will maintain the quality, which normally decreases in episodic stuff. However the whole persona stuff is giving me jojos BA 'stand' vibe. And while you are it , do check jojoBA OVAs on youtube, it has all, ....really nice anime, kick ass clever characters with unique stands. Where personas just come to ususally fight, stands in jojo are not always face to face fighters/brawlers.

Persona. Second episode... Now I'm positive they're reusing/remixing songs from the P3 soundtrack.
