Best Anime flicks!
I LOVE Akira! My friends I've shown it to all say it doesn't make any sense(??!???!?!?!?!) but I've never had that problem. I think it's a fan-*test*-('")ic film that anyone who likes movies AT ALL should watch! I also LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEE Cowboy Bebop. I don't know why I love the movie so much. I've only recently started watching the show, so I've loved the movie for a long time. Many people have said you can't really like the movie without the show, but I've liked the movie for years now but only started watching the show last year! OH and let's not forget the almighty classic...NINJA SCROLL! I don't know what makes the movie so good...I just know it's frickin sweetness! I got my 10th Anniversary Special Edition version at Target for 20 bucks! I can never find that movie for ANYTHING less than $25 at the LEAST! One place I saw wanted $40 for it!!!!! Thankfully, I'm a smart shopper. I learned it from my mother I guess (:D). But yeah I always watch the film in widescreen cuz it bugs the crap outta me when a movie isn't in widescreen. Movies are not filmed in fullscreen therefore they should NEVER EVER be seen in it! This movie was made in fullscreen but the widescreen looks better because the people don't look as long as they do on the fullscreen version. I'm sorry but I'm gonna be a filmmaker and if it's not the vision of the person who made it, it's not a good version and shouldn't be seen! I'm VERY particular about it. I don't care if I get a movie as a gift from someone, if it's in fullscreen, I'll take it back...SERIOUSLY!! I'm just too exacting about my movie watching experience! Not that I'm anal but if it's not widescreen and in the original language that the film was made in (with the exception of certain goofy kung fu movies, oh and there needs to be subtitles not captions...ugh) then it drives me nuts. Oh well, is anyone else on here like me? Just curious :P But yes, my favs are Cowboy Bebop, Akira, and Ninja Scroll...OH! and Appleseed was pretty awesome I thought! Any other suggestions?...DUH GHOST IN THE SHELL!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Can't belive I ALMOST forgot those movies! I love the movies AND the series, it's fantastic!

Ok so it's not REALLY anime, but it is a CG movie and I sure did like it all kinds of a lot! It was Final Fantasy VII Advent Children...anyone else seen it yet? It comes out in the states on April 25 so I'll get it on DVD then :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Watch out for that movie, it's just raw action fury from start to finish!

Akira was pretty good. And um... I like anything by Satoshi Kon, because that guy is pure genius. And, with the bias shining through... Saiyuki Requiem. =P

WHEEE!!! *goes crazy at the mention of FFVII:AC* I watched it in Japanese with English subtitles! I went absolutely CRAZY! It totally rocked my socks! MWAHAHAHAA!! (Like Roxas does *giggles*) AHHH! Kadaj rules! *worships her mini Kadaj altar* Other good animes? I actually enjoyed the short but amazingly sweet series just filled-to-the-brim with yaoi! I'm actually talking about Yami no Mtasuei! MWahahaahahaha! *evil cackles herself to death*

Yes they are dubbing it actually, with Mena Suvari, Rachael Leigh Cook, and...some other people :P I can't remember em all but I know the guy who did Spike's voice is gonna be one of the characters...let me see...oh yeah he's playing Vincent! And Steve Burton is doing Cloud's voice he did his voice in the past few games with Cloud in em). This is all fine and dany I really don't care about that...what I'M concerned about is this......are they gonna change the mouths to match the English words? Because they had BETTER NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The movie was made in Japanese and THAT is how I'm GOING to watch it. But on the Appleseed DVd they changed the video for the different parts that would require it (if you watch the movie in english the credits and the opening quote from the Bible is written in English but if you put it in Japanese, the text is all Japanese). I just hope that if they DID change the mouths that they have another version on the DVD that is the original version with the mouths in Japanese! This is a long post :P

Omgs, I started watching Akira again last night, but only got to watch up to the part where he kills the barkeep. Then I had to go to bed >__> I watched the original dub because it had Cam Clarke (Ulmeyda from K7, Liquid Snake from MGS) as Kaneda, but it is so laughable. I'm really picky with my dubbing, if the lip sync and script is way off, I won't recommend it. But hey... Cam Clarke!

OH! I found out something all kinds of AWESOME!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D Yeah on IMDB.com (Internet Movie Database) there was a forum on Advent Children. The forum was basically some links to Youtube.com videos of breif clips of the English version of the film...and I'm overjoyed and excruciatingly happy to announce that they are NOT changing the mouths to lip sync to the English dubbing!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D I'm so happy! I don't know if it comes out everywhere on Tuesday but it comes out on DVD in the states finally! There's even a ticker for the countdown to the release on the Advent Children website (don't quote me on this but I THINK it was adventchildren.net) I think that was it. I can't wait to get it!! :D:D:D All kinds of HAPPY!!!!!
