lol, i remember that show - although for some reason the only thing i can remember is when jay decides to go nude in the office for a day, his boss comes along and throws his clothes out the window
but ANYWAY, the early 90s version of x-men was pretty damn cool, and captain planet seemed to be alright from what i can remember
The Critic was great, I loved the dad and the boss, like the time the dad was driving the car and kept honking because he was thinking he was dodging barrels being thrown at him by Donkey Kong.
THe Critic had an awesome italian dub, Jay Sherman himself was dubbed from a famous comic, Bruno Lauzi, that passed away a few years ago. You know what's bullshit? IT HAS BEEN AIRED ONLY ONE TIME. ONE FUCKIN' TIME. I was a child when they aired it. But luckly, my father recorded most of the episodes on a tape.

I remember it too!
That cartoon was just hylarious. I still love it.
A few posts back it was mentioned that the animation in that Jem cartoon was fluid and all. I wouldn't be too surprised to find that the animation iself was commissioned to a Japanese studio. I certainly looks so.
The Thundercats is another one I believe was outsourced by a Japanese house.
For example, the animation in The Real Ghostbusters was entirely done in Japan. The painted cells, the key animation, the filming, etc. was all done there. They even pointed out certain things in the original storyboards (made in the US) that wouldn't work in the actual animation.
Dude, Doug was AWEOSME. My mom worked at a tv station at that time and Jim Jenkins, the creator of Doug, was on a show that my mom worked on. Well, after the show my mom goes up to him and tells him how big of a fan of the show I was and she thought he was just going to give me an autograph but instead he started drawing a picture of Doug and then signed it AS Doug AND himself! It's awesome. :D
I still have it. I loved that one and Ren and Stimpy, Ghostbusters, Ninja Turtles, Rocko's Modern Life, and yes...as a kid I liked Rugrats.
I can't remember a lot of other cartoon shows from my childhood by name. But there were plenty others. :P
LOL I saw Doug on tv just a few days ago. When I was i child I was litterally in love with that cartoon, I remember that I saw doug the movie at cinema when I was seven and I, my mom and my dad were the only people in the enire cinema bicouse for some reason we went to the last show lol
Yeah all the cartoons I like now are mature ones. No kiddie stuff looks interesting now. :(
