I really loved the manga, though for me deathnote ended when L died and it felt dragged on , but ofcourse whith such fanase they have to continue somehow for fanservice and keep going the series in motion. I eventually lost interest coz i was not liking near and mello , anyways dropped reading it , and then anime came, which wasn't anyclose to manga in terms of characters development. So yesterday i was trolling some anime forums onlne, with topic on deathnote ending. Then i was like atleast i should check out what happened in end, though i knew light died. I dloaded the last 2 episdoes and the final moments , the showdown between matsuda and yagami was very nicely aniamted, i ish it had same level of quality animation(like madhouse did in monster, full fluidity and more frames), in whole series. The final moments of kira were really cinematic, loved it. But the nature/last scenario how they ended , was felt deliberate attempt to end it smartly. Want to ask Why didnt mikami notice its real deathnote, after all when you touch it you can see ryuuk, yagami should have told him to make sure touching it and seeing ryuuk before writing anyhting(in order to confirm thats its the origianl and liable one). the whole trusting other guys and hiring them, doesnt felt like yagamis clever character decision, portrayed in whole manga. Yagami could have written someone name(of someone on the scene, even his own group guys) on the piece of paper he had in watch, in advance to deviate attention. Yagami felt dumb, at the end, the managa always pulled out smarlty something that i was unable to sort, laer with descriptions it was smartly calculated moves, bu in the end , i could have made better decision, it felt dumb on yagamis end. Was it intentional? Yet even so, why to not smartly end it? Did you find it smart ending cmparing to smartness of rest of the series? I didn't, though i really liked the presntation of final scenes. And fuck ryuuk was not a tiny bit in faor of yagami, as if he is not allowed ot favor a little bit to ayagmi, after all he was already going overboard with 2 deatnotes.
