As for Mad World itself. I think it's going to be a tight ass game. I just don't want to see Suda waste his time on yet another over the top parody game.
Btw, Tight ass julez sig.
he just want to sell games nothing more just look at no more heroes, those kind of games sell but killer 7 kind games sadly not
NMH didn't even sell. It may have sold more than K7, but practically every single game that Suda has worked on has sold more than Killer 7.
(Save for maybe Michigan, which flopped just as badly as K7 did. Though K7 fared worse, because it had a bigger budget provided by capcom.)
No more Heroes is considered Suda's best game in the west, but that's because he gave us exactly what we wanted in a game.
(Incomprehensible plot, babes, excessive gore, mini games, free roam world still on rails.)
While the above may not be what we say we want. It does show that it is what we clamour for when you stop to think about all the games that are popular these days. (We usually want epic plots, with epic plot twists, with a big epic world. NMH gave us all of that, & made fun of it in the process.)
Anyway that's not what I was saying. What irritates me is that Suda keeps neglecting his main series of games.
(The ones that started with Moonlight Syndrome & Silver Case)
The last Kill the Past game he ever worked on was Silver Case 25 Ward.
Which was released back in 2006.
NMH seemed to be an extension of the Kill the Past universe, but Suda has gone on record & said that NMH isn't related at all.
Although there's a new NMH audio drama out in Japan that actually contradicts that statement, because it seems to be based off of the Silver Case setting.

I'm guessing that people in Japan didn't get the memo yet.
(That NMH isn't related with his other games even though NMH seems to share the "kill the past" theme.)
Which leads me to further believe that Suda was just talking shit when he said NMH wasn't related, and he prolly thinks that us Western fans are dumbasses.
He leaves all his serious, mature games in Japan, but bombards us with his over the top bullshit that we claim as mature.
(Although in retrospect they actually are. NMH & K7 have much better plots & commentary than most console games.)
Course seeing how everybody slept on FSR, I could kinda see why he keeps pandering to his Western audience with his recycled Tarrantino witty one liner + LULZ Kill Bill gore shtick.
My only concern is to finally have one of those canon Suda games released state side.
That way more people would be able to understand what was actually going on in games like Killer7. (Killer 7 was directly inspired, & even references the setting of Silver Case, plus Moonlight Syndrome & FSR, because they all take place in the same setting.)
The only Suda game that is coming to the west is the European translation of the FSR ds port, & sadly the ds game sucks. Stick with the PS2 version.
I don't think he is working in that game but SUda like to do those style games
Sure Suda may like making over the top violently retarded games, but IMO I think Suda only does that, because that's what he thinks Americans like.
Personally the main reason why people believe that Suda likes to make over the top violent games, is because his two majour worldwide releases are K7, & NHM.
Which were both over the top parodies. (Not to be taken seriously.)
I get irritated every time I read some American article singing all this hyperbolic praise about Suda 51 talking about how his games are so mature. Yet the only thing they talk about is the funny one liners & the over the top gore.
That's the common stereotype that most Japanese have about us Western gamers.
They think that we only play games with overly excessive gore.
I have no problem with over the top gore myself. I just feel that Suda is wasting his talent by constantly working on that type of shit.
Leave that type of shit to Tomonobu Itagaki. At least Itagaki gives us games that actually have good gameplay. I only play Suda games for the inventive, & mostly original writing.
I'm far more interested in his original surrealist settings that he usually came up with. Starting from Moonlight Syndrome to Killer7.
His games Moonlight Syndrome, & Silver Case were also extremely bloody & gory, but it was usually to enhance the horror like atmosphere of the games.
I was hoping that Suda may return to his horror writing style for Fatal Frame 4, but I'm not so sure about that now.
Suda & GHM by extension seem like they're trying way too hard to please their American fans, by catering to the lowest common denominator.
Killer 7 btw is overrated imo. K7 is cool because it's original, but I sometimes cringe when I think about retarded bullshit such as Japan influencing America through a goddamn elementary school that also doubles as a safe house for raising assassins to infiltrate the U.S. government.
I mean come on, it's a fucking elementary school. I can understand the metaphor about how society shapes & distorts the minds of youth ever since the day they first enrolled into school, but no matter how you look at it. That's still ridiculous.
Killer 7 is the middle ground. It appeals to both dumbasses & smartasses.
The dumbasses like k7 for the witty one liners, & the whimsical gore.
The smartasses like K7, because the game seems to be a vessel that relays trains of thought about relevant social & political issues in our society for the gamer to elaborate on.
(If anybody was wondering. I'm both a dumbass & a smartass, but I usually fulfill my "dumbass" needs with dumbass games like dynasty warriors.)
K7 is the game that introduced all of us, including myself to Suda 51.
However venturing into his earlier games shows that Suda is more than just some snob who likes to make fun of gamers with his violent satire games.
K7: Makes fun of games that take their plots way too seriously.
I kinda wonder how a K7 sequel would make fun of a game like MGS4. It's kinda hard to do, considering that it's already a joke.
NMH: Makes fun of gamers, and gamer culture.
This guy truly does have the ability to weave & spin tales without relying on making fun of his audience.
I want to finally see some dark Silver Case style offerings from Suda in the West someday.
You know, games that actually treat the players as if they're grown adults rather than condescending & making fun of us like K7 & NMH do.
I feel that this guy is wasting his talent on a field that doesn't give a fuck about writing.
(Considering that NMH was made to directly make fun of the types of games that are popular with gamers in the first place. NMH didn't bother to come up with a plot that made sense, because gamers usually don't care if a plot makes sense. The success of MGS4's plot with its fans is a -*test*-('")ament to what NMH was referring to when the Travis & Henry kept making fun of inane plot twists.)

Anyway enough about that. It's not like I hold Killer 7 to some godly undisputed pedestal or anything. I don't even understand why people keep thinking that I want to see more games like Killer 7. K7 was just a fluke, imo.
It's just that I've seen how talented Suda's writing & direction are when used on something that isn't a goddamn parody or satire.
I find it sad how Suda has yet to show what he's truly capable of to the world yet.
Coz his "serious" games are only released in Japan.
Yet GHM likes to claim that only Americans understand their games.
Fuck them, & their bullshit. The only reason GHM believes that is because both NMH & K7 sold like shit in Japan.
