Flower, Sun and Rain ending In response to one of our Guest's queries, if anyone has any info pertaining to the end of Flower, Sun and Rain, please post it here! Or if anyone has a link that may help the guest then also please post it here.
Thanks everyone! :P
KIRBY 7- 01-04-2006
I don't really remember the details,I'll have to beat the game over again.
The best way that I can explain it is to compare Sumio Mondo (The main character) to Neon Genesis Evangelion's Rei Ayanami.
There are many clones of Mondo in the sense that almost every mondo you see was actually a different entity.
I still don't really understand why time resets after every single day though.
To make the long story short the two detectives Remy & the japanese guy (Forgot his name) let you escape into the plane rigged with the bomb, after proving your identity to them.
I'll try to get some webcam scans up,whenever I feel like doing that last stage again.
Here's a japanese website containing all the dialog to FSR
http://3.csx.jp/ungus/fsr/index.html
KIRBY 7- 01-30-2006
Following is a literal translation that I reworded a bit from tans.
Sundance the man who killed you earlier appears before you when Sumio Mondo (You) releases another Sumio Mondo from a bathroom stall.
Sundance tells you
"We have a peculiar gene, only you are another seed."
It's around this time when the other Sumio Mondo's appear.
All the events that happened in FSR were memories of another body that he had experienced for 16 days, and, out of the Sumio Mondo's only he survived.
The other Sumio Mondos shout out
"Our memory is dedicated to you."
Sumio leaves without forgetting this memory.
Mondo leaves Lospass island.
To tell all the memories to the last seed and step
- - WORLD
Peter is waiting when taking an airplane.
"There is nobody whom I was searching for. "And, Peter asks Mondo. "Mondo you came"
"I was looking for Sumio. "
----
My interpretation:
The secret of FSR is that their world (Lospass) and existance is a paradise resort in the truest sense of the word.
Lospass paradise is not the real world, and is a fictional reality.
The question remains what will become of Mondo,Sumio when he returns to the real world.
Anyway the paradise life of Sumio Mondo has ended.
This is the website I used to to dechiper what the hell was going on in FSR.
http://www.gpara.com/special/soft/fsr/
They have a lot of commentary from Suda51,so it makes searching for answers easier.
This is the best FSR fansite that I've ever seen.
http://bahamute.com/fsr/
Too bad I can't understand it at all,because I can't read Korean.
They have a lot of scans of the intro directed by Suda 51.
Wish their intro download still worked, that way I can finally show y'all out there how friggin' dope the intro for FSR is.
That intro has some of the prettiest cinematography that I've seen in a game. Suda51 truly has what it takes to become a director.
Or direct music videos at least.
This is the FSR site that I'm working on.
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/hotelfsr/index.html
Swear part-nah I ain't playing when I say that Flower, Sun and Rain has better music than Killer 7.
The F.S.R. theme savepoint remix track straight up kicks the shit out of Rave On.
decoy- 04-19-2007
whats that music track again, you mentioned which is better than raveon?
Also can you put summary of FSR story?
KIRBY 7- 04-19-2007
What an old thread, I forgot that it even exists...
I'm going to have to update my older posts in this thread a bit.
whats that music track again, you mentioned which is better than raveon?
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSRremix.mp3
The common consensus (at K7 SIN at least) is that Rave on is the better track, but IMO FSR remix was more ear catching when used within the context of the game.
(This song plays when you save your game.)
Though my favorite song in FSR is "Without Chewing gum syrup".
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSR~WithoutChewingGumSyrup.mp3
Which IMO is light years better than rave on.
Download more FSR mp3's at
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/hotelfsr/fsrdl.htm
Also can you put summary of FSR story?
Between Silver Case,FSR, & K7.
FSR is the game that I understand the least.
I'm only planning to make Silver Case into a full fledged site.
So far the Hotel guest list has the most info in the FSr site.
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/hotelfsr/hotelfsrguest.htm
As for a plot summary I honestly do not know where to begin...
Like Killer 7, you seriously can not sum this game up with a mere paragraph or two.
So I won't even bother.
To put it bluntly, FSR is like a living embodiment of a Picasso painting.
Think of Suda51 games in the same manner you would a David Lynch film.
Suda51's games have the same abstract style of writing as the David Lynch film "Muholland Drive".
In other words they are surreal abstract experiences with non linear narrative which were meant to be analyzed & theorized.
Stories that have a life of it's own, & it's up to the viewer or player in question to connect the pieces together.
Kinda like Silent Hill 2.
Check here to read the basic premise of the game.
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/hotelfsr/hotelfsrfront.htm
The story revolves around one of the suppporting characters from the "Silver Case".
Sumio Mondo
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/hotelfsr/hotelfsrsumio.html
The above is an official time line recording Sumio's life.
Your goal for the game is to diffuse the airplane bomb, but you end up failing every single day until you get to the last level.
(Which only occurrs after you meet Tokio Morishima, a character from the Silver Case who escaped with the classified information chronciling the Silver Case/Incident/Affair.)
Each day that passes Sumio usually ends up getting sidetracked from his main objective.
Although he may fail each time, the same day plays again over & over.
I don't know I really can't explain it unless I make one of my trademark Novel long posts.
(Let's just say that Sumio is actually transporting his soul to different conduits/seed children that have been made specificly for him.
Which in turn creates the illusion that he is living the same day over & over.)
The main character Sumio, gets killed by Sundance Shot after Chapter 11.
It's not known why Sundance kills you.
You play as two detectives from the 24 ward in the Silver Case after Sumio dies.
Here's a vid I made of the mission you play after Sumio is killed
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSR-R12.wmv
Here's another vid of I playing as Remy, the female detective.
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSR-R13.wmv
You resume control of Sumio during chapter 16 when he "comes back to life".
This is a gameplay walk through that I made of Level 16.
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSR-R16.wmv
Sundance barges into his room and both Sumio & Sundance exchange dialgoue with each other.
(This is the guy that kills you half way through the game. He's also the politician that was referenced in Silver Case.)
My interpretation of the game has already been written above
Mostly The secret of FSR is that their world (Lospass) and existance is a paradise resort in the truest sense of the word.
Lospass paradise is not the real world, and is a fictional reality.
The question remains what will become of Mondo,Sumio when he returns to the real world.
Anyway the paradise life of Sumio Mondo has ended.
Meaning that just like paradise, a place where you go to indulge your self in the pleasures of life.
Lospass (Lost pass) resort is the world that you retreat to in your mind in order to relieve yourself.
No I can not get any more detailed than that, coz like I said I don't really understand the story.
It wasn't until I played the Silver Case. (The game that came before FSR)
That I began to at least understand some of the aspects of the story.
(Such as why there are more than one Sumios. This directly relates to the Uehara Camui/Seed children conspiracy from the Silver Case.)
Here's a list of sites that could be helpful...
http://www.gpara.com/special/soft/fsr/http://bahamute.com/fsr/http://bring.under.jp/jinsay/category84/http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~syujumi4989/hanato.htmlhttp://chobi.net/~clockwork-lemming/fsr.htmlhttp://3.csx.jp/ungus/fsr/index.html
Below are story wiki's for games that Sumio has appeared in.
(Since Sumio is the main focus of FSR, it's better to get as acquainted with him as much as you can.)

Silver Case 25 Ward fan sitehttp://25ward.tyabo.com/
Contains the scripts & all the dialogue from the SilverCase sequel.
Sumio's chapter is "Transmitter: Digital Man"
Koshimizu, who is one of the detectives who you control from FSR also makes an appearance in Digital Man.
Sumio also makes a remark about how Tsuguro Kusabi (One of the main characters from Silver Case) is currently working on a case in the United States.
This was never followed up though, since the final chapter hasn't been released yet.
(GHM is probably waiting for the DS release.)
FSR walkthroughhttp://www.d3.dion.ne.jp/~ishinabe/fsr.htmEnglish FSR faqhttp://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/game/578758.html
Since FSR is not politically driven like Killer 7 & Silver Case, the main story of FSR remains a mystery to me.
At the same time, I also feel that it's Suda 51's strongest title.
(As in, I feel it's the most artistically creative.)
Dalemushashi- 04-19-2007
Topdrunkee have you ever heard the soundtracks to the games Streets of Rage2, Iridion 3D or the remake of the Double Dragon2:The Revenge soundtrack? If you like "Without Chewing Gum Sryup"and "Rave On" you'll love the soundtracks to these games. I'll post some links if you haven't already heard them. 8)
KIRBY 7- 04-19-2007
Of course I have, I am a Beat em up connoisseur you know.
My import collection mostly consists of rare obscure beat em ups never released outside of Japan. (Crisis Beat, Hot Blooded Family,Dynamite Deka -Die Hard Arcade in the U.S.- The Oneechanbara series, etc.)
Streets of Rage (& Street Fighter II) was my life until Dynasty/Samurai/Orochi Warriors came around.
Here lies one of the ILLest games ever known to man...
http://www.bombergames.net/sorr_e.htm
I never heard of Iridion though.
I'm familiar with Dobule Dragon, but I never really got into them, because those games required way too much strategy.
(When all I want to do is kick ass.)
Battletoads & DoubleDragon had some dopeass music.
Especially the 3rd level song.
Did you know that the Sega Cd version of Dungeons & Dragons had techno/trance tunes from Yuzo Koshiro?
(The same guy who composed Streets of Rage 2)
Oneechanbara 2 & Oneechanpon were pretty sweet as well.
Here's some swf files that I have lying around.
(These are like 40 sec. samples that I made awhile back.)
Song from Oneechanponhttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v437/topdrunkee/tam/oneechan1.swf
The menu song from Oneechanbara 2http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v437/topdrunkee/tam/oneechan.swf
The orgasm cut.
Saki (The younger sister of the Oneechanbara games.)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v437/topdrunkee/tam/saki.swf
This was the last boss song for the first Oneechanbara game. It's also used as Saki's main themes song.
Note: You'll have to wait for a min. or two before the songs start.

Have to say that i m damn impressed by sheer scale of your attention to these games and othe media related things.
I also liked that most of the things i liked , you liked too.
Ok this post is going to be long
1. You mentioend Mullholland drive, since you have great insight , i would like to know , what you made out of those little boxes with lead characters coming out of them. (the boxes looked like music boxes, i mean what is the significance of that scene).
I have read summaries of stories, diffent interpretation, it all makes sense that she is living 2 realities and all that, she wanted to be an actress and shit.
Some said movie events are like unedited events of her frustration and she visits these hallucinations or visions of whole this other identity while masturbating(the scene which is shown in film). The whole thing starts form there. If this is not what do you think thn what you make out of this that scene.
Some said that these sequences are result of her suicide and death.
That is when you die all the life events come across your eyes in split second, since they are so fast you can't make them out completely. There fore explaining movie's unedited random nature of events.
2. FSR really is most interesting of his games. Atleast sounds like one. the more i read about it , the more explanation i need , it kicks up the curiousity meter.
You mentioned
A) (Let's just say that Sumio is actually transporting his soul to different conduits/seed children that have been made specificly for him.)
To whom he sends the soul, where and how?
How it is shown in game? The transition of souls i mean.
B) You resume control of Sumio during chapter 16 when he "comes back to life".
how id he come back to life?
Again how it is presented in game.
3. Actually i dont know about how visually it is represented. It will help me in my film.
The premise is really cool
"A guy goes to island. He was informed by manager about the bomb and he is always sidetracked, looses time and incident happnes, it repeats again and again"
Can you give and write something for me totally fanfiction to end this premise on concievable ending(story is too unconventional for general public).
This is really interesting preface and what if we can get it right ending of our own , which will be more close to reality and digestable for most of the people, if not evryone.
I am really excited and i believe in your skills, give me "ideas" if you can come up with something.
4. I am pissed that these games didn't get any attention or hype at all.
i have played and finished the most rarest games , some game even in jap ofcourse but these titles never came to my knowledge.
No site, even gamefaqs boards are dead.
No faq of silvercase on gfaqs and i was fooled by FSR section on gfaqs, i know there is none coz i was unaware of its jap name until you pointed
out.
5. Did you know that the Sega Cd version of Dungeons & Dragons had techno/trance tunes from Yuzo Koshiro?
Never heard but i am fan of Yuzo, if its good then please guide me where i can find these tracks.
are they on gh.ffshrine?
6. http://www.bombergames.net/sorr_e.htm
What is this, a remake of SOR by some fan?
Should i try , i mean worthy enough?
7. Glad that you like major from GITS(juding from your avatar), i just LOVE GITS series .
Allmovies and seasons.
Watch the new GITS SAC solidstate society , its my best anime , the story is just amazing and also confusing.
i need confirmation on Major's identity, if you have seen let me know.
We will discuss.
8. Finally for now , want to suggest you to play RuleofRose, another psycho thriller, really good story if you are into these kinds of things but be warned , this game has really bad gameplay.
decoy- 04-21-2007
These oneechebara tracks are amazing, need mp3s.
KIRBY 7- 04-22-2007
Some said movie events are like unedited events of her frustration and she visits these hallucinations or visions of whole this other identity while masturbating(the scene which is shown in film). The whole thing starts form there. If this is not what do you think thn what you make out of this that scene.

That is when you die all the life events come across your eyes in split second, since they are so fast you can't make them out completely. There fore explaining movie's unedited random nature of events.
I haven't actually seen Mulholland Drive yet.
I just noticed it's similarity with Suda 51's games
when I looked at this site.
http://www.mulholland-drive.net/studies/theories.htm
It's quite humbling, & here I thought that K7 SIN was quite detailed in it's content. My site is pretty small compared to the analytical thinking that occurs at that site.
BTW it should be noted that there is an actual Mulholland Drive in Suda 51's Silver Case.
(That's the place where you first hear about Lospass resort.)
I assumed that it was an homage to the Mulholland Drive movie, but David Lynch's MD came two yrs. after the Silver Case.
BTW if I were to compare Flower, Sun & Rain to a movie.
It would be Takashi Miike's Audition.
Audition starts off as a romantic comedy which later turns into a Horror/Suspense film.
In FSR, Asami from Audition would be Lospass resort & Hotel FSR itself.
On the outside they look very inviting'enticing, but deep down underneath a twisted world awaits you.
The scariest aspect about the game FSR, is that you're actually being opressed by your suroundings & enviornment yet you don't even realize it until it's too late.
Why is that you may ask. It's because you are surounded by extreme feelings of pleasure & enjoyment.
Why would you ever want to leave a place that provides you with so much satisfaction?
FSR starts out as you just having a vacation looking forward to party with beautiful women, go sightseeing, relaxing underneath the sun, etc.
However what started out as a fun time slowly descends into madness since the day & certain key events keep repeating over & over.
IN FSR, Lospass is made to look like & feel like an actual peace resort.
The tagline for FSR is "Lospass island is the finest resort on earth where you can forget about time."
Most people who would read that line would assume that "forget about time" would refer to how much fun you may have at Lospass.
Which is in part true, but at the same time you will literally forget about time.
Why, because Hotel FSR is a distorted reality that alters itself to fit the needs & wants of it's guests.
You mentioned
A) (Let's just say that Sumio is actually transporting his soul to different conduits/seed children that have been made specificly for him.)
To whom he sends the soul, where and how?
How it is shown in game? The transition of souls i mean.
He doesn't actually send a soul.
Sumio just awakens in a new body.
He has a peculiar biological deformity or ability that allows
his concious to migrate between bodies.
When a transition ocurrs he overrides the exisiting concious of the new body that he incarnates in.
His stock bodies come from a police operation called the "Shelter Children"
Shelter Children happen to be orphans living in shelters at the Kyoka 24 ward.
It should be noted that the info I just described to you was derived from the Silver Case, since that 's the basice jist of how the Uehara Camui phenomonon began. (Aka the Camuidrome.)
FSR assumes that you already played Silver Case before hand.
Sumio & Sundance are part of the "seed children" a concept that was from the Silver Case.
Seeds have the abilty to migrate between bodies, often times they do so without even realizing it.
Note: The following is about the Silver Case.
Part of the reason why Uehara Camui is still 20 yrs. old, 20 yrs. after he commited the Silver Case murders is because,
1. Uehara Camui was never involved with the Silver Case murders.
He is a government scapegoat. A lie that was created in order manipulate the anxiety & fears of the populace.
2. Uehara Camui is not the same "Uehara Camui" who was identified as the killer of the Silver Case murders.
The person identified as "Uehara Camui" was actually an assassin hired by Sundance.
(During this time Sundance was a political leader of a right wing party.)
That assassn's name was Fujiwara Camui, otherwise known as
Format Camui.
The current Uehara Camui is actually just some 20 something yr. old kid
who was brainwashed by a Camuidrome website filled with propaganda. He was seduced by a woman who's mind was controlled by Camui's original consort.
The sexual intercourse between the two turned the 20 yr. old something kid into another stock body.
When Uehara Camui died again his concious immigrated into the 20 yr. old's body.
--------Silver case details end
BTW I suggest that you actually read my Silver Case post's, because they are relavant to the plot of FSR.
Although FSR may not be an official sequel of the Silver Case.
FSR does directly continue the story of what happened after the silver case ended.
It should be noted that FSR does not address the cliffhanger ending of Silver Case at all since Akira is nowhere to be found at Lospass resort.
Note:Akira is the character who you play as in the Silver Case.
He is also the only remaining individual still alive who was part of the"Silver Case" scandal. He managed to evade the persuecution of Tsuguro Kusabil.
(Tsuguro & Sakura Natsume both pursued their former allies once it became apparent that it was the 24 wards own chief of the police force who was responsible for manifesting the Silver Case murders & not Uehara Camui.
The cheif of police has a daughter who happens to be the bloody girl in the K7 SIN forum logo.)
Kusabi himself believed that he had no reason to believe that Akira was part of the Silver Case.
Mostly due in part to the fact that Akira is a new recruit.
In other words the main character of the Silver Case was actually playing & manipulating everybody all along.
B) You resume control of Sumio during chapter 16 when he "comes back to life".
how id he come back to life?
Again how it is presented in game.
He just gets back up where he was last standing, because the Sumio that died was really just the memories of another Sumio, & not the real Sumio who was from Moonlight Syndrome & Silver Case.
The reason why there is a groundhog day effect in FSR is because you are actually expierincing the life & memories of a different Sumio each day.
Sumio resurfacing had something to do with a conversation that Sundance had with Toriko Kusabi. Toriko is the daughter of Tsuguro Kusabi's
(Tsuguro is one of the main characters from Silver Case)
Click the following link for one of the Sundance/ Toriko Kusabi convos.
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSR-KusabiSundance.wmv
Click here to hear Sundance's theme song.
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSR~DeepShotOfMidnightSun.mp3
Toriko actually doesn't really have any relation to Sumio at all.
(Although Sumio was her father's partner before Sumio got arrested in the Silver Case.)
So I'm guessing that she's only concerned with Sundance.
I have no idea what Toriko actually said to Sundance, since I only sparsely understand some japanese, & even than I can only comprehend the literal meaning.
As you may well know with games like Killer 7. Suda51's plots tend to be filled to the brim with metaphorical meaning & dialogue.
Here in lies the problem. I don't understand enough Japanese to fully comprehend the figurative meaning behind the facade or portrait of action that is being portrayed & conveyed through out the game.
The following is what I think FSR is.
(This will also be posted at what is FSR at the website.)
--------
If Harman's Room was Garcian Smith's psychological structure of soiltude
If the Killer 7 were nothing more than a government orchestrated lie created in order to undermine the sovereignty of opposing foreign nations.
If Kun Lan himself is really just an astral projection or embodmient of freedom & anarchy than IMO FSR is....
The time bomb is more like an alarm clock that ticks away, waiting for you to awaken. (As in enlightenment.)
The time bomb it self represents life & how it ticks away until you die.
When you run out of time the plane explodes just like how we die when our time is up.
The plane bomb exploding is mainly due to you running out of time in figuring out the truth or facade of Lospass Resort & Hotel FSR.
Note: There's no actual time limit in the game. The plane just explodes everytime you finish a level.
The plane exploding represents how when we die we take everything along with it.
Our memories, dreams, life ambitions, everything.
When the plane explodes, everybody inside the plane dies & is never heard from again.
(Which sucks, because Yayoi Hanayama was a hot piece of ass.
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/hotelfsr/hotelfsrguest.htm#yay
Yayoi decided to leave Lospass after Sumio Mondo saved her from her little poisoning incident.)
The many Hotel guests who Sumio ends up helping along the way represent the trials & tribulations that often get in our way during our path in life.
Sundance killed Sumio in order to teach him that death isn't the end, it's only a begining of a circular time stream.
Hotel FSR is a vessel for the soul. It changes shape in accordance with
whomever is staying at the hotel.
Ed Macalister himself remembers the faces of all his guests.
Which means that everybody at FSR has their own personal dillemas that they must resolve before they can leave Lospass resort.
Note: Lospass is a paradise so many of it's inhabitants have no idea that they are actually being imprisioned within the island. You can't leave the island because the only plane that flies out of the country is wired with a time bomb, & the person who's sent to defuse the time bomb usually never gets the job done in time.
Lospass resort is the paradise that we all create within our mind
Keep in mind that the above about FSR is only my interpretation of the game due to my limited understanding & may not be what was actually intended by Suda51.
3. Actually i dont know about how visually it is represented. It will help me in my film.
Check out vid R 12.
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSR-R12.wmv
This vid shows Sumio's dead body after he was shot in the head by Sundance and fell off the roof of Hotel FSR
Check the other videos I posted in the post I made a couple days ago while your at it.
Can you give and write something for me totally fanfiction to end this premise on concievable ending(story is too unconventional for general public).
I don't do fanfiction, but I can present to you a story based off what I interpreted from FSR.
Just one thang part-nah...
Are you sure that you know what you are getting into?
A story written by moi is the last thing that you need if you want something a bit more conventional for mass consumption.
Anything that I write is guranteed to be unorthodox & have you labeled as crazy.
Hah hah, I feel like I'm getting Deja Vu, since this is exactly what I said to at least two other director types asking moi for some inspiration/help with their tv/film projects. (One of whom is a regular poster at K7 SIN.)
Although this is the first time that a convo like this has ocurred in public.
Most individuals who seek my assistance usually do so through private messaging, and the conversations are usually kept private.
But hey it's all good.
At least this shows the public that a lot more goes on behind the scenes at K7 SIN than I let on.
Well anyway if I have time I'll try to write something up for you.
I'm supposed to be updating the site, but I can put that aside for now. (I've been delaying the update since feb. 2007)
Just tell me a certain deadline or some guidelines to follow, because if you don't you'll might end up with a script that's as fucked up as a Takashi Miike flick.
This is really interesting preface and what if we can get it right ending of our own , which will be more close to reality and digestable for most of the people, if not evryone.
Actually the ending in FSR is about as close to reality as you can get.
Their's nothing unrealistic at all about the ending of FSR.
Like I said before FSR is like a David Lynch flick.
Suda's games are laced with symbolism/metaphors & surreality.
The last scene in FSR would be perfect for movie adaption, it's just too bad that I can't really explain it well.
Let's just say that the last part of FSR.
(After you leave the Airport bathroom)
is one of the most suspenseful moments I've ever had in a game.
The only problem about the ending that comes in play is trying to comprehend what all the symbology meant.
(Which should be expected since Killer 7 itself was also told in a similar manner.)
Here a chain of events of what occurs in the last level.
Ed Macalister comes back from the dead once it has become apparent that Sumio is starting to see the truth.
(The truth of Hotel FSR was contained in the Silver Case documents that Tokio Morishima was in posession of.)
-Morishima is a reporter from the Silver Case. He is also considered the true hero of the Silver Case.-
Macalister & Sue say their final farewells to Sumio & they direct him to Toriko Kusabi's friend, Christie.
Christie is actually a pink talking alligator.
She's not alone though since she's accompanied with a friend.
(Some purple crocadile.)
Sumio finally reaches the airport.
A guy named Stephan
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/hotelfsr/hotelfsrguest.htm#ste
is waiting for Sumio at the front of the airport.
Stephan steals Sumio's car & leaves him behind to diffuse all the bombs.
(Stephan is the same guy who drugged Yayoi's drink.)
The bombs for some reason all happen to look like the main MC/rapper from Japanese pop group Dragonash.
You are than forced to solve random basic mathematical equations in order to reset the bombs.
After Sumio defuses all the bombs he finally returns to the airport bathroom where the game originally began.
As soon as he steps into the bathroom stall that he used at the begining of the game.
Sundance Shot is seen walking out of a bathroom stall that is located two stalls to the right of the one that Sumio is using.
The game than turns black & white & flashes back to what happened when Sumio first used the bathroom stall at the begining of the game.
When Sumio first entered the bathroom stall, a different Sumio came out of the same stall that Sundance Shot just came out of & the story continued onward using the Sumio that just came out of the other bathroom stall.
(Or at least the story did revolve around that Sumio until Sundance killed him during the half way point of the game.)
Once outside the bathroom
Sumio races toward the plane containing the bomb, but when he makes it there the two detectives who were investigating his murder with waiting for him at the front of the Airplane passenger entrance.
Both Koshimizu & Remy (The two detectives who you control after Sumio died.) stop you at the entrance & command you to prove that you are the real Sumio Mondo, & not just some stock body.
(Sumio's proof is his birthdate.)
After Remy & Koshimizu are convinced that he's the real Sumio they try to let him through the gate.
It's at this very moment that
Sundance arrives and points a gun at Sumio's head, but before he can pull the trigger.
Toriko Kusabi comes in & yells something at Sundance.
Sundance puts his firearm away, & starts telling Sumio the truth about their origins.
The other Sumio stock bodies show up & tell the real Sumio to pass on the memories.
Sundance ends up staying behind, because he is arrested by Remy & Koshimizu.
(Though not for long since Sundance can be seen in the Silver Case sequel, "Silver Case Ward 25".)
Inside the airplane you are reunited with Peter. A man with a silver eye whom drove you to the front gates of Hotel FSR when you first arrived to Lospass.
Peter tells you that he couldn't find the person who he was looking for.
Sumio says that he was looking for himself.

4. I am pissed that these games didn't get any attention or hype at all.
i have played and finished the most rarest games , some game even in jap ofcourse but these titles never came to my knowledge.
No site, even gamefaqs boards are dead.
No faq of silvercase on gfaqs and i was fooled by FSR section on gfaqs, i know there is none coz i was unaware of its jap name until you pointed
out.
It's mostly because the Japanese (Including Suda51) believe that most english speaking audiences (specificly American) are not interested in adventure games.
Which is true for console gamers.
Adventure games released on consoles never sell well in the U.S.
(Adventure games are only popular with the PC crowd in the U.S.)
FSR & Silver Case do have a strong cult following in Japan & the games also sold enough to be re released two times.
Killer 7 also has a cult following in Japan.
(Despite the fact that Killer 7 was a complete failure in Japan.)
I'm also pissed that they're not in english.
Though I can't imagine them doing too well in the United States even if they were.
Never heard but i am fan of Yuzo, if its good then please guide me where i can find these tracks.
are they on gh.ffshrine?
Nope Galbadia despite having a lot of mp3s, are actually missing quite a bit of game soundtracks such as Kingdom Under Fire,Fear Effect, etc.
I have the AD & D mp3s on my harddrive.
I'll upload them along with the Oneechanbara OST later.
I friggin' spent four hours typing up that last message I wrote so the last thing I want to do is upload some big ass files to the net.
6. http://www.bombergames.net/sorr_e.htm
What is this, a remake of SOR by some fan?
Should i try , i mean worthy enough?
It's not by a fan, it's by a team of some of the most die hard.
The game was actually coded from scratch & even contains missing levels that were not included un Sor 3.
Yes you should try it. This is one of the only fan games in existance that manages to be better than the original game that it's based off on.
Yeah, Motoko is a hot piece of ass.
(Especially in the manga & the Psone game.)
What do you mean by the Major's identity?
Are you asking about what her real name is or whether or not she's just a cyborg, a higly evolved A.I construct (Puppetmaster) or just a ghost in the shell. (Human mind & soul in an artificial body.)
If it's the former, Motoko Kusanagi's real name & identity are unknown since like Emir Parkreiner/Garcian Smith from Killer 7.
Kusanagi is pretty much a pet of the government.
The main difference between Kusanagi & Emir is that Emir Parkreiner is being played & manipulated by two countries at the same time. (Japan & the U.S.A.)
Motoko Kusanagi on the other hand actually has enough government clearance & privelidges to manipulate & contain certain worldly events at an isolated level.
Which is due to her service in World War III & WW IV.
The two wars helped shaped the Section 9.
Ah never mind I've just noticed that you referring to Solid State Society. I haven't seen that movie yet.
8. Finally for now , want to suggest you to play RuleofRose, another psycho thriller, really good story if you are into these kinds of things but be warned , this game has really bad gameplay.
Yeah I heard from several gaming blogs that RoR has a deep compeling story, I also heard about the bad gameplay, but how could it possibly be worse than the gameplay for Killer 7?
Another game that I recommend is Siren 2.
It has the atmosphere of Japanese occult movies & Silent Hill, & the gameplay of resident evil 4.
Sadly the game was never released in english.
(However I've heard the Siren 2 did make it to Europe.)

http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSR-R12.wmv
the more i see game the more i feel sad, damn... want this game.
It looks really good, who stupid guy said that graphics aren't good.
The art style is great , and it creates the atmosphere well, along with music.
The interiors , trees and views are top notch.
Exploring the hotel would be fun atleast better than HotelDusk.
2. I am halfwaythrough Siren2, i dont miss survival horror or psycho thriller games. Condemned is also really good.
3. Juts got DS , now i guess i should wait for Silvercase on it, i can get roms online, will get jap one , if english ver. will take time but again i asked you

it is in jap, i dont get jap also you said tht its more like playing digi comic so only gameplay parts are those codes input, which you posted....thats it?
4. My direction is serious, it will be showed on filmfestival , so its not like univ project or something.
guidelines i will post soon, after i will get over with my existing telefilms.
5. Is there any ISO of FSR online, post if you comeacross any online.
Have walkthrough, ending it wont be problem.
6. What that changing of room has to do with in FSR?
Why his room is morphing? Guy is loosing sanity thats it or there is some symbolism there too.
(Giving silenthill4 vibe.
Also 'paradise that can make your dreams come true' is too silenthillish)

Tv commercial of FSR
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSR.avi
(That song is not from FSR at all. It's just some random GHM produced track that they played in the background.)
My thoughts exactly. I get annoyed every time I see these english speaking video game journalists making snide comments about FSR.
(Hell I'm pretty much annoyed with most journalists in general, since they tend to make up shit.)
They usually say something inane like "FSR looks worse than a N64 game."
It's a sad shame how they can't see that it was an art style that was used in order to evoke an atmosphere of surreality.
FSR IMO is a good example of what an abstract painting would look like if it were given life.
You're practically the first person I've came across who actually noticed the true splendor of FSR.
The music, graphics, art style, sound effect, the whole package IMO is what I feel art should be about.
The intro for FSR imo has some of the best cinematography I've ever seen, it contains so many metaphors & majestic scenery that it makes I wonder why so few individuals take notice of the game.
I get so annoyed how out of the 3 games that I cover, FSR is the one that gets ignored the most.
If FSR actually came to the English speaking audiences, maybe than people would finally realize that Suda51 is more than just a shock/exploitation writer.
A reputation that he has, mainly because most overseas fans are only familiar with Killer 7. Killer 7 is also an intellectually compelling product as well.
The problem with K7 is that the majority of Killer 7's fan base are completely missing the point of Killer 7.
They think of K7 as a battle between good v.s. evil.
Or a tale about an elite assassin called Emir Parkreiner. (AKA Killer 7)
When in reality Killer 7 the game is just a metaphor of the relavance of the Japanese/United States peace constitution, & the need to amend article 9 of the peace treaty in order to prevent a similar conflict like the one that occurred in Sunset from ever happening in real life.
The other main conflict in Killer 7 is the control of knowledge & how the world is manipulated through mis information & the social hierarchy that was created through carefully manufactured dis info.
3. Juts got DS , now i guess i should wait for Silvercase on it, i can get roms online, will get jap one , if english ver. will take time but again i asked you

It is a digital comic. If you've played Hideo Kojima's Snatcher than you should already know what to expect in terms of gameplay.
There's so much story progression going on in the game that it feels more like you're reading a novel.
I've already made two or three gameplay vids, but I need to edit them a bit, before I can post them up.
(I have a 10 min. limit & most of Silver Case vids are over 3o mins. long.)
Here's a basic run through of the info that you need to know in order to proceed.
There's a lot more to do in the game, but this is just the bare bones needed in order to beat the game at least once.

4. My direction is serious, it will be showed on filmfestival , so its not like univ project or something.
guidelines i will post soon, after i will get over with my existing telefilms.
Although I'm more than confident in my abilities, I'm not so sure if I could pull off a tale that's similar to FSR.
I believe that the story that was told in FSR is way beyond my abiltiy.
The type of crap that I write is usually more focused on political disputes laced with metaphors masked by over the top violence.
You know the type of ish that people say is badass.
(Like Killer 7.)
FSR on the other hand is what I would label as art.
There's virtually liltle to no violence at all in the game.
(Except for the Sumio head execution by Sundance.)
yet it's abstract narrative grabs I by the balls & keeps moi glued to my seat just to see what happens next.
One of the aspects that I love most about FSR is how serene & complacent everything feels through out the entirety of the game despite the fact that beneath the surface everybody in the game is actually getting screwed one way or the other.
I doubt that I'd be able to recreate that "FSR" quality atmosphere.
Though I'll try, the basic philosophy that goes into my writing is
"If Reality is Fiction,& Fiction is Reality,
does that imply if I were to kill you
right where you stand...
would it be considered
Imaginary or a Tragedy..."
5. Is there any ISO of FSR online, post if you come across any online.
Have walkthrough, ending it wont be problem.
Nope, FSR is for the PS2.
You can buy a Best Hits (Japanese equivalent of the Grea-*test*-('") hits series)copy for cheap at Yesasia,NCSX,Playasia, etc.
(You need a Japanese PS2 or a modded PS2 though.)
6. What that changing of room has to do with in FSR?
Why his room is morphing? Guy is loosing sanity thats it or there is some symbolism there too.
Well obviously there is symbolism there
(No I don't know what it represents),
that's what the entirety of the game revolves around.
BTW his room only changes shape the after the first day he spends at FSR.
Think of the feeling you get when you look at an abstract painting by Picasso. You're immediate reaction is "WTF! What the hell is this!"
that's pretty much the same vibe that FSR is gunning for.
Most Hotel rooms at FSR look like generic hotel rooms.
The only exception that I can think of is Natsuko's room.
Her room is made to look like an abode for royalty & the like.
The game isn't about you loosing sanity, it's about you finding yourself.
It's about KILL THE PAST.
Finding out the true purpose of your life or what not.
Killer 7 itself is loosely related with the Kill the past theme, since one of the main plot twists in the game was Garcian killing the past.
(He faced the truth, & accepted the fact that he was the one who murdered the guests at Union Hotel. Which in return killed the fabrication of his mind conditioning.)
Prior to FSR, Sumio was a character in the Silver Case & the Moonlight Syndrome.
During Case#3 Parade of the Silver Case.
Sumio & two of his child hood friends enact a scheme to avenge a girl who he liked.
(That girl's name is Riru, she was raped & killed by the "Parade".
Parade is a code word used in Silver Case that refers to the chaotic nature of pro-*test*-('")ers who have became to be known as the "Parade".
Parade as a code word simply stands for a congregation of pro-*test*-('")ing madmen.
This incident was influenced by the Moonlight Syndrome that ocurred 20 yrs. ago. No I don't know what the influences of the Moonlight Syndrome are since I never played the game Moonlight SYndrome.)
Note: The Moonlight Syndrome is also in full effect in the game Killer 7.
(The Moon loading screens are a direct reference to the ML Syndrome.)
Sumio & his child hood friends share a bond that is quite similar to Iwazaru,Kikazaru, & Mizaru from Killer 7.
Iwazaru & co. symbolized
Speak no evil
See no evil
Hear no evil
Sumio's friends had similar disabilities.
They were punished by the citizens in ther city, because they sided with Riru.
There punishments were
Hiseki's punishment, so as not to see the witch, eyes are crushed.
Fyuki's punishment, so as not to call the witch, the mouth is sewn.
(This is a video of Fyuki before he suicide bombs an entire building.
http://killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/silver/silverfyuki.swf)
So as not to hear the witch's voice, oil was poured into Sumio's ears.
During a case that involved investigating Mikmomura. Sumio executed the plan to manipulate the Iregyura Yuki to annihilate the city from his child hood. One by one the members of the Iregyura Yuki committed suicide by either blowing their selves apart with time bombs or fell to their deaths. The chairman of the Iregyura Yuki self detonated the Snow Tower
http://killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/silvermikumosumio.wmv
which resulted in taking out the entire village of Mikmomura along with it.
With the Yuki conglomerate eliminated & the city burnt to ashes,
Sumio Killed the past.
It's after this incident that Sumio gets arrested & is kicked out of the force.
Never to be seen again until his apperance in the game, FSR.
These two individuals that I mention in my FSR page hold the key to Sumio's past
If that wasn't bad enough there's also a mysterious man with a silver eye who claims to be familiar with Sumio's past.
By the way who is that strange girl that's always accompanied with a pink alligator?
The silver eye is the right wing politician Sundance, & the strange girl is Toriko Kusabi who is the daughter of one of the few survivors from the Silver Case.
Unfortunately they're the two that I know the least about.
I'm well aware of Sundance's purpose in the Silver Case, but in FSR I have no idea what he was trying to do, because I don't understand enough Japanese to catch all the metaphors & symbolism.
Out of the three games, FSR is the one that has the most plot speculation circling around it ihn Japan.
I've seen many theories in scattered throughout Japanese blogs & websites, most of which have been added as links in my previous posts.
Yet no matter how much insight I get the more confusing it becomes.
This shows how clueless I am when the plots aren't politcally motivated.
Every single blog I've skimmed through usually makes it a point that you need to play Silver Case first in order to understand the full concept of FSR.
Maybe I'll the picture will become clearer to I once SIlver Case is released in English.
(I'm only planning to cover the majour plot points of the Silver Case for the time being. If it does get released in ENglsih I will be sure to make it as in depth as the K7 Site.)
(Giving silenthill4 vibe.
Also 'paradise that can make your dreams come true' is too silenthillish
It does sound sort of like Silent Hill, but the vibe is completly different.
Silent Hill is meant to invoke fear to the viewer.
FSR by contrast is just post modern like Killer 7.
Weird for the sake of weird. It's the same brand of "weird" that permeates the late night Japanese satrical comedy "Vermilion Pleasure Night" .
The game is not trying to creep anybody out at all, but due to it's excessive weirdness...
FSR does have the possibility of being a bit creepy at times.
The world of FSR looks more like a tropical island or a Brazilian beach.
Think of any tropical paradise in the world, & that's exactly what FSR is.
There's nothing malevolent or evil lurking behind the scenes in FSR at all.
There are some individuals who happen to be politically motivated, but nothing of the supernatural sort that would be found in most other games like Silent Hill.
Or at least it would be if FSR wasn't a resort created from the mind.
I wish I could explain what exactly Lospass is rather than just
"A place where the past is lost", but I'd prolly have to read up more on philosophy just to understand what the hell the concept is about.
I'd prolly label FSR as a residual haunting, but it's clear as night & day that the residents & guests of FSR are living & breathing people.
(Except for prolly Edo Macalister, who's more like an entity who symbolizes FSR.)
The world of Silent hill is just dead, barren & foreboding.
Hell, I guess you could say that Silent Hill is like a living organsim.
IMO the reason for the similarity between the two is because Silent Hill games are the only other games out there (Besides Shin Megami Tensei) that rely on surrealism, symbology, metaphors & abstract thought patterns.
Other than that I'd say that FSR & Silent Hill have nothing else in common at all.
Have you've ever played the game "Dreamfall the longest Journey"?
I'd say that the atmosphere of FSR feels more similar to Dreamfall's rendition of Casablanca than it does Silent Hill.
In both Casablanca & FSR the setting is nice & sunny, & every body seems happy.
Deep down under the surface everybody is actually being opressed but yet they are unaware of it.
(The world of Dreamfall is overrun by a united nations police force called the Wire.)
In Dreamfall you never find out how screwed everybody is until you make your trip to Japan & encounter some green fatass called Mr. Peats.
In FSR, it's clear to you after spending the first night at FSR that something is wrong with the place.
It didn't really matter at the time, because it seems harmless enough.
That is until you keep waking up with the same day occuring over & over.
The beggining & end of each day are always the same, until Sundance kills & shoots you in the head.
Which in turn breaks up the monotony.
(Unlike Sumio, the two detectives who you control during the middle of the game live in real time & do not have to endure the groundhog day effect that Sumio has to go through. They're normal people like you and I.)
The eventually reaches it's climax after Remy finds a stock body who looks exactly like her.
Another weird ass conversation ocurrs between Toriko & Sundance & Sumio gets back up again.
When the game goes back to Sumio's pov.
The groundhog day effect returns, except now you are being served by Sue, instead of Ed Macalister.
(Ed collapses or dies for some reason. I don't know what happened. He comes back during the last two chapters though.)
You spend the next couple chapters seeking the word of RITZ.
(An old woman vbound in a wheelchair who also has a caretaker.
Her character design & purpose looks gravely similar to Harman Smith from Killer 7.)
Ritz can be seen in this vid walkthrough I made.
(You'll know when you see her. She's old & in a wheel chair, heh.)
http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSR-R16.wmv
Ritz directs you to the loaction of Tokio Morishima.
When you finally meet Tokio Morishima, I think this is the part that spills out the whole truth of FSr.
(Tokio Morishima is the reporter from Silver Case & one of the only survivors from that game.)
Unfornately I have no idea what he said.
Something related to the Silver Case most likely.
All in all you could probably say that FSR & Silent Hill are a bit alike, but if that's true than I'd have to add that FSR does it a much more subtle manner.
(I didn't really notice how screwed the FSR guests were until a couple days ago when I had to rejog my memory about what FSR is.
It didn't occur to moi that there were actual plane passengers being killed in each & every one of the plane explosions.)
