Here's the Nintendo DS rom.

Anybody have any decent DS emulators to recommend?
The farthest I've ever got with a DS emulator was when I emulated Dawn of Sorrow.
It wouldn't let me get past the menu screen though.
The part where you had to draw some picture. I drew the initials AK 47, & then I drew some big titties before the damn emulator crashed on me.
I think its actually due to Rising Star being a subsidiary of Marvelous, thus making the process of distributing in Europe rather easy.
Who handles Marvelous titles in the states? If worst comes to worst, im sure Atlus would pick it up
Xseed handles Marvelous games in the United States.

I have no faith that Xseed would actually localize FSR, because FSR isn't an animu rpg game.
FSR is more or less an arthouse conspiracy/mystery film in the form of a game.
I think Suda should really just drop games & make films instead.
The live action skits he did for Silver Case & the live action music video intro of FSR has shown that Suda does have a good eye for visual cinematography, subtle symbolism, & story progression told through images & colour.
FSR would have some chance of being localized if it were a straight forward action game like NMH.
You never see NMH being labeled as a kids game. Regardless of how childish it actually is when compared to FSR.
(FSR is labeled a kids game, because people think the game has no violence in it. Simply because FSR doesn't glorify any of those pointless video game gimmicks.)
FSR has more chance surviving the market in Europe, because Europe makes mature games that concentrate more on their narrative & characters like "Dreamfall The longest Journey".
If worst comes to worst, im sure Atlus would pick it up
I don't really think they'd pick up FSR. While it certainly does seem like the type of game that they would localize. FSR's main downfall is that it's not really a game. As I said. It's more or less an arthouse film. Atlus is in the business of translating games.
For the rest of your post, think i'll prefer not to read/respond to it since i would like to at least have a bit of mystery in my FSR playthrough :)
Yup, I don't blame you. I can't imagine liking FSR as much as I do if some 'tard already spoiled the game for me.
I'm only about 70% or 60% accurate about the FSR plot anyway.
There's a lot I don't understand about that game, but my understanding of what FSR is. Is far better than most.
they put you in an "acceptance" queue which taked a long time. I tried registering in last November to try and insert some truth in a topic I came across full of wrong information, but my account still hasnt been activated.
What a waste of time, hah. Sounds like this one japanese beauty forum that I was trying to join, because everybody was making fun of Shoko Goto's build. (She has a voluptuous body that would be normal in Latina cirlces, but unfortunately most asianphiles are into 12 year old bodies.)
They okayed my email about a year later, but I didn't feel like posting in the topic anymore. I felt more ashamed at myself for joining a forum full of pedophiles. (Most of the women they talk about all look underaged. Sure the ladies are actually in their 20's but they still look like preteen jailbait, lol.)

A good DS emu:
No$GBA 2.6 modified.
FSR runs at full speed on my setup. Give it a try:

Haven't shown up for a while, but it's work related. Got a couple 'a movie gigs (the first one is actually a short), and I'm involved in the concept art dpt., so that's why the K7 comic's been at a standstill.

Does the game includes new music pieces?
just wondering

I really liked the second intro movie that plays after Ed takes you to your room. A real shame on how the movie was butchered in the DS version(music wise).

Hell I can't pass the first screen. What do I have to do?

LOL, wasn't that the same question that venom already asked in the first page of this thread?
Here's the answer.

Are you referring to the part that happens after you park your car?
I was stuck in that same exact part when I first played FSR three years ago.
You're actually jacking into his silver eye.
He wants you to identify yourself by relaying to him your birth date.
Which should be "1113".
You will then be led to the front gate of FSR. The gate won't open until you jack in the required information.
You will have to jack in your birth date in reverse order. "3111"
At least that's what you have to do in the best hits PS2 re release.
The DS port could require a completely different set of codes for all I know.

It worked for venom so it should work on your end as well.

Hell i started to read the topic from the second page and I didn't noticed it, LOL! Sorry XD

Actually the first thing you're suppose to do is to juck in the car and insert a 7 to get a ticket.
I don't know how to save. What do I have to do after I said "YES"? I assumed that the game was saved after i clicked on fuckin YES, but it wasn't. Edo is really a terrorist.

Are you using this guide? http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/game/578758.html
I think I found something new in the ds version. R-04, I went into the bar and checked the last table on the end. Sumio started talking, mentioned DS, and then I went to Katherine. I jacked into some kind of container that had F.S.R on it, but I didn't know the two digit code. It wasn't mentioned in the PS2 walkthrough so it must be new.
Xed- 07-05-2008
Ehi, how do you save?
No Name- 07-05-2008

I usually just save through Katherine, at the beginning of a new day. Just go to the menu, save, click on yes, then exit.

hell, I actually found out that it saves, but it doesen't load the .sav file when I open the rom.
(Actually I basically never used an emulator)
ferlanga- 07-06-2008
No$GBA 2.6a
This one work really well for me, managed to run Dawn of Sorrow "almost" smoothly (like 80-90% playable)
Portrait of ruin still runs choppy tough
Xed- 07-07-2008
It's the one I use. But it appears it doesen't load the .sav file, because I save, the .sav file appears, but when I load the cartdrige, it still says "NO DATA" on every file :S I don't get it.
ferlanga- 07-07-2008
Well, thats strange, i saved and works fine.
While more stable it still goes choppy, reason being 3D stuff (like 3D houses in background)
