Holy fucking shit!

Suikoden Tierkreis for DS

Why is it that the DS is the only system that's coming out with games that I actually want? (Kirby superstad ds, Order of Ecclesia, chrono trigger ds, and now Suiko 6.)

The art style looks like shit, but it doesn't bother me that much, because Suiko has always looked very animeish.
Now original Persona series, those games looked gothic, and they sorta had that Lovecrafian feel of hopelessness that the current Persona gaymes don't have. Which is why I get annoyed at the gayness of P3/P4.
Most people think Suiko tierkreis is going to be a side story.
I believe that it actually is Suiko 6.
For one thing this game seems to take place in an unexplored region of the Southern continent.
(Side story games usually take place in known regions.)
I just wonder what the gameplay is going to be like.
I'm hoping it's some kind of adventuring type shit like the original Grandia.
The story itself seems to be the reverse of what happens in a typical suiko plot.

Supposedly the game OPENS with the defeat of the 108 Stars of Destiny at the hands of the game's villain with only four survivors (not including the hero). The quest involves reassembling the 108 Stars of Destiny.
In the movie scene screenshots it shows the 108 Stars of Destiny in their "final battle" and being decimated by the enemy except for 4 remaining warriors that are still standing. The main character leading the stars in the video looks a lot like the main character, but maybe older and in proper armor. It could well be that the entire game is a flashback leading up to that event, rather than you being an unrelated character after the fact getting drawn into the web of affairs.
A group called the Swordsmen of the Night (or possibly Swordsmen of Hell) are stated to be involved in the game somehow. They are likely the "society" engaging in a struggle against the nation of Danash VIII.
I like this site better you can easily talk about politics and religion very openly and bash crappy games very openly lol xD ftw
Too bad we lose a shit load of posters in the process of bashing everything openly, lol. (This forum died when the three main video game posters left, vision, grave, & decoy.)
I'm part of the pessimistic camp. In the sense that if you're wrong about your complaints at least you can be happy and enjoy playing the game that proved you wrong.
If you're not wrong about your complaints then you can take solace that you were right all along.
