New energy source endangering the world? :/
Well, lately MY friend started to bring this crap about scientists trying to use a new source of energy with something called LHC (Large Hadron Collider), and how they try to hide this as much as possible because of the great danger this could bring (my friend even claimed it could destroy all the life in the world :? ) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LHC I dont believe this shit (Someone going as far as screwing the existance of the world in the name of science), but they say it exists the risk that micro black holes could get created (and i have no idea how dangerous those are) So basically, some crazy theories says that after the LHC is unveiled and is put to use, it has the possibility of destroying earth. Mind you, they say it will be unveiled on 21 October 2008.

I think I heard something about this, there have been some voicing concerns that it could cause some sort of Earth-consuming blackhole doomsday shit, but experts are generally saying it's completely unfounded. Though it could be a conspiracy... :evil:

Is this like a black hole into the twilight zone? Or is it like Chrono Trigger a black hole to mothafucking lavos. Or a black hole into some fantasy dimension like fushigi yugi or a time portal like land of the lost. Shit it must be one of them black holes where you get ripped to shreds if you step inside it, hah.

Black Holes are the only thing besides paranormal stuff that science can't begin to explain. I know that they form after particularly violent super nova's. Know one really knows what happens when something goes inside of one. I'd rather not have mini one's in my Galaxy let alone planet or country. They suck light for Pete's sake, it's not worth the risk.

Yeah, I am. But, I suppose the point I was trying to make was, that we hear about on-coming disasters all the time. Personally, I don't care anymore. We're all gonna die someday anyway. Might as well make the best of it. Black holes though, are not the way I'd like to die.

Black Holes are balls of mass that are so furiously dense that their gravitational pull attracts fucking everything that gets near it, and crushes it. How it slows time and swallows light is beyond me, that's some straight up Isaac Asimov shit right there.

Not at all, they already said humanity would destroy itself, from Nostradamus to Stephen Hawkin. What is stupid is that somebody would risk his and everybodys life for the sake of progress. Myself I believe Hawkin Radition works on a real life basis, thus saving us if a micro black hole appears. I find it cool that dark energy actually exists, no wonder why some rpgs have gravity based spells labeled as dark type.

I meant it's Ironic that we always fight for our survival and our right to live, only to screw ourselves over in the end. Mankind sucks.
