I still haven't heard anything about that Devil May Cry movie also being made in Japan. How the hell are they going to do that? Dante isn't even Japanese, although I did mistake him for Japanese when I first saw his character design. (I assumed that he was just a rocker pornstar, that bleached his hair platinum/silver.) I already know that they'll be able to replicate the DMC action. (VERSUS)
He definitely looks a lot better than the other one.
Dante isn't even Japanese, although I did mistake him for Japanese when I first saw his character design.I remember hearing from one of the creators of Devil May Cry (it may have been Mikami) that the game takes place in a fictitious world, so I've no idea who they would cast as Dante, I never even thought about what his race was. I am admittedly a little afraid though that they'll cast an effeminate J-rock star as the lead, especially with how Dante looked in the third game.
"I cried twice before theending. While we're filming we're thinking of how we can make a film that isn't inferior to that experience, but at any rate we're trying to have fun while making the movie. Above all, this has to be something that can be loved by people who loved the game, so I think as a film it might be a little unkind. We have the game that Nagoshi-san made to work from, so can be enjoyed together with it. People will still be able to understand the movie even if they haven't played the game, but we're aiming for something that has its true meaning hidden within the game."
LEFT: Kiryu Kazuma RIGHT: MAJIMA
Hot damn this movie is looking good.
Kazuma & Majima look exactly like they do in the game.
Yumi, Kazuma's woman looks way more attractive than her actual video game counter part. (She's the actress with shoulder length layered haircut wearing a white/black shirt.)
Is might just be me, but that lilttle actress who plays the part of Haruka looks kinda foreign.
(She looks like a Brazilian Japanese mix.)
BTW It kicks ass how they're actually using music that came straight out of the video game.
(They're using Shimano's theme for the Rya ga Gotoku trailer.)
I am admittedly a little afraid though that they'll cast an effeminate J-rock star as the lead, especially with how Dante looked in the third game. When I first saw Dante, I thought he was an effeminate J-rock star. Or at least I assumed his look was inspired by some random J-rocker. Dante is way too pretty hah hah.
