Nightshade was harder imo.
Though only for superficial reasons.
(The god damn pit falls.)
In Shinobi I completed everything.
The only thing I wasn't able to do was beat the game on the hardest mode with Joe Musashi.
In Kunoichi I'm still trying to unlock Hibana's rocker get up & Hisui's 2nd outfit.
(Still can't beat the game on hard with Musashi. That fool relies on his shurikens too much.)
Nightshade's gameplay was just boring to me. Though I've been playing Shinobi a lot lately.
The last boss of Shinobi is the definition of boring IMO.
At least Nightshade has a fun last boss fight.
(Like Shinobi III you fight some cyborg ninja.)
Shit the only other boss fight on the PS2 the topples Kunoichi's last boss is the last fight in God Hand.
I guess I prefer one on one showdowns rather than fights of attrition.
The reason why I prefer Nightshade over Shinobi is because it felt more like an homage to the original Shinobi games than Shinobi did.
Especially the music.
(Course the argument could be made that (PS2) Shinobi was trying to create it's own legacy rather than take the easy way out & copy the past like Nightshade.)
Though they both pale in comparison to Revenge of Shinobi.
That game had you fighting against Rambo,Spiderman,Batman, hell even a mini godzilla.
I beat Dynasty Warriors 4 Empires, assuming that counts.
Try Samurai Warriors 2 Empires.
The a.i. actually fights back.
(& they'll kick your ass, unlike most of the other Warriors games.)
As for games I recently completed...
Bushido Blade 2. (Damn I love this game.)
It's hard to believe.................................................................................................................................
Squaresoft actually made good games back then.
Considering that all they do now is make pointless sequels to Final Fantasy VII & the eight different projects that they have for FF XIII.
