Soon all Killer7 cutscenes for download! So yeah I am bit in hurry the last few days. Germany was in a big carneval fever but it ended all today, yay :D
Anyway I still do read alot of the board lately, trying to get gamecube or ps2 emulated, reverse Engineering and so on. Let me explain what happend. On An Emutalk Forum I found a tool that can rip 3d models out of a game through DX9 -> here http://www.deep-shadows.com/hax/3DRipperDX.htm
So this is nice, but it is much nicer if you can emulate a ps2 or a gamecube and rip the models out of K7 :D That doesnt work yet completely. Since the Gamecube emulator isnt capable of running or starting Killer7, I had to try with the ps2 emu. I dont have a ps2 nor the game for the ps2 so I had to get it from a friend, and I did! Of course it didn´t worked like I wanted it to. The 3d Ripper DX doesnt work well with the ps2 emu ( because of the ps2 emu gfx plug is weiiiiiird) , still it grabs the whole scene! ( imagine if this would work, we would see every place from a different view...exploring neverseen areas ... ha! )
Sadly with full of bugs and without depth ( yes 2d vertex shit )
like you can see here....or not ..
Anyway, so after this fall back I checked on the ps2 killer7 image deeper. And I found out that I could watch the cutscenes...haaaa!
If nothing goes wrong you will see more scenes in a nice quality soon here.
Stick with this for now->

Damn that Dan movie looked better than the file that's hosted in this site.
You can tell that it was obviously extracted from the game disc due to how crispy clear the quality was.
(It took moi over a week just trying to extract the Flower, Sun, & Rain intro)

Oh wow. o.o Thanks Sal, you're awesome. The cutscene looks crisp - like I just started playing the GameCube version of K7 right on my laptop.
I can't wait to see more. :3

The whole cutscenes are about 1,15 gb huuuuuuge! There will be 13 rar files, a complete collection of all sequences. If somebody can help me with some webspace, you are welcome! When there is need for more ( lets say zshare stops working for some reasons ) I may upload some files at my page.
Wanna view or convert files yourself? get the ps2 version of the game and use the Cube Media Player
http://my.opera.com/PlayStation2/blog/show.dml/319113
Its not working as good as I would like to, but its enough. Very useful tool, try it out.
-Some info about the files-
Oh well there are like 105 files! DAMN :D You get seperate video and audio files out of the cube media player, so you need to bring them back together. You may have problems with the framerate though. I dont know why, but all the video files were encoded with a framerate of 30.300... instead of 29.970 fps ( NTSC )
You have to change fix the framerate...its so much fun if you have 105 files ;D
I used "AVI-Mux" to get the stuff together and somehow it cuts off the last ~2 seconds sound of all movies. I fixed some files using VirtualDub instead of AVI-Mux, of course its much more manufacture work here.
I coulnd´t go very high quality ( uh! guess why! ) nor 2 pass for the encoding ( to much work :D ) and there are some cracks at the start aswell at the end of the movie files, dont know why ( AVI-Mux ? think so ) Even some image errors are in it! You see, you get even more than you can imagine :P
The ripquality is average for my taste, but better than anything I found on the internet so far.
The filenames are pretty the same just the number change. You will see that some files are missing, thats because I put some duplicates away, so dont bother with that. ( no need for 2 same outro´s when the one have a Killer7 logo at the end and the other a Killer8 logo) I just ripped them in the same order I found them, dont be suprised.
While watching the ps2 stuff I have to say I am a bit disappointed. Two things came into my mind. First the ps2 video files doesnt look as good as I think they do on the gamecube ( no real evidence here, but I am a Nintendo fanboy hahahahaha... to many jokes here.. )
And the other thing is, I am pretty disappointed and amazed at the same time by the fact how ghm made me believe all the cutscenes were INGAME! Man they did a great job cover that up, I would have never noticed that.
Thats so far. If the 3d ripper would work with one of the emulators, I could have rip out some models, whole enviroments with texture...would be so cool to make some wallpapers out of it in a fantastic quality.
Oh and after watchin the whole bunch of cutscenes, damn I have to say, I hate Curtis Blackburn so much lol. Both Pedro Montanna and Curtis deserve to die, but Curtis ...damn
I really love when Dan says... "Look´s like this is your end.. "
give me a break sick old man, haha
link updates follow soon<- done
its all up.
any problems? ha not mine! :P

I'm currently in the process of compressing all your .avi files into .wmv so that they can be small enough to be hosted at K7 SIN.
(I've only compressed the first 5 .rars so far.)
If you're looking for a place that would willingly host the original files that you have made you could always open an account here...
http://stage6.divx.com/index
They actually allow you to host files that are over 1 gb.
I actually have an acount over there, but I never did anything with. I only registered to watch this crappy music video.
http://stage6.divx.com/Japan_AD_Sexy/show_video/1012130
(There's nothing actually explicit about the vid.)
Damn now I can finally make an extended cut of my original K7 theatrical preview vid.
(Too bad I won't be able to stream it to the site since my flash video encoder trial is running out.)
It's all because of you, I to have to redo all the imagery from the site & use some high quality scans from these .avi files.
(I should be glad that I never bothered to finish the la-*test*-('") update.)
You deserve to have the name God Hand (Kun Lan)
Like Akushitsu before you who has also submitted a lot of content in the past.

I actually under went through the same process when trying to reconstruct the FSR intro.
http://killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/hotelfsr/hotelfsrfront.htm
Took moi over a week to finally get the vid to look the way it was suppose to. (As you said it has something to do with the frame rate.)
I can't imagine all the labour you must've went through just to reconstruct all these K7 files.
Akushitsu- 02-25-2007
Very nice, Sal! Thanks for taking out so much time to do this. I'm downloading the files now, so I'll have to see what they look like myself before I completely shower you in gifts and candy.
And you're right: the scenes do not look as good on the PS2 as they look on the GameCube. I have both versions of the game and the GC version seems far superior in video (and even sound quality for some reason, but I may just be crazy).
Thanks again, and great job!
BobTheDarkOne- 02-26-2007
Now I can finally watch the cutscenes without having to replay entire levels!(Not that I hated to do that anyway) Thanks!

Well when I play the game on the Wii, it looks perfect. It's just so incredibly crisp and clear, it's great. And yes the textures (notably the design on Mask's...mask in the kitchen scene where he headbutts the bullet) don't look very good. They looked a lot better from what I remember of them. And in the scenes where Garcian meets with Mills, the buildings in the background are SO MUCH clearer and easily seen in the Gamecube version, not to mention even clearer when played on the Wii! If I could find SOME WAY to just film the cutscenes when it's played on the Wii, I'd find some way to post them up for you all. But since I don't know how to capture video on my TV besides sucky VCR or something...which with how my tv works, wouldn't even be possible ANYWAY.
But yeah when they put out some things for the Wii that let me do all kinds of stuff to it, I'll look into doing that but it's not a possibility right now or else I'd see if it'd work. As for the sound issue, I synced up the sound to the video of the scene where Harman meets the Angel. I couldn't stand it when I watched it and he didn't say "It's past your bedtime", so I messed with it a bit in Windows Movie maker, and I even didn't cut him off at the end to sync up with the video since the growl he has when saying it goes on for a SPLIT SECOND after the video stops. Harman just sounds so cool. :P

I came on here today because I wanted to get the rest of these Cutscene files. I only got up to the cutscene 6 rar. I'm getting 7 and 8 now but they're still a lot slower than the first couple RAR's were. Hmm....Oh well.
I just kind of wish that I could get the files from the Gamecube version when it's being played on the Wii. It pretty much takes out all the jaggies...which I see a lot of from this PS2 version. It IS however, the best batch of cutscenes I've seen. They're a lot better than all the other one's so far. :)
Jedilink- 05-02-2007
Oh! I found today that there's a few scenes missing!!! :O The VERY FIRST scene in the game is downloaded as number "0" but yet it flashes and goes crazy the whole time...
I'm missing 2, 3, 5, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 77, 78, 79, 85, and 90. Of course some of these might be duplicate scenes or just the same scene but with some strange glitch happening, who knows. But these are the ones that I personally don't have. According to the ones I've got here.
I know there are a couple scenes with th Grasshopper man in them instead of the Heaven Smile. If it's not TOO much work...I'd like to have both versions. I kind of plan on posting these all on Youtube maybe. :P
