I just hope that this new game is dark/gritty like the Silver Case, but in 3d. Gameplay wise I hope it's more similar to RE 4 than DMC. Killer 7 already played like RE4 in the first place. Might as well go all the way this time. MY LIFE IS NOW PERFECT What if it's KURAYAMI? Hah haha. and don't attemp to make shitty game that make his fans wet because their names are on the credits. You could say that again. http://www.siliconera.com/2008/08/14/ea-q-entertainment-and-grasshopper-manufacture-team-up-for-a-new-ip/#comments ryne11 Says: August 14th, 2008 at 7:13 pm Maybe they can make a real GTA No More Heroes :p Suda better not waste his time on something as fucking stupid as that. The world does not need another "wacky jappy" game. I'm sick & tired of his parody games. It's about time that Suda shows off that he can actually write serious (but still fucking fucked up in the head.) plots for a change. Also Suda still don't have experience into the Horror Genre, just look at Michigan, is not the Survival game that everybody expected, is more like some some shitty vouyerist game. IMO, Suda's best work is his (psycho)horror stuff. (Silver Case/Moonlight Syndrome/ Twilight Syndrome) Michigan doesn't count since it belongs in the same camp as Killer 7, and No More Heroes. (Michigan was another one of Suda's parody games.)

I guess is Kurayami too, just look at this interview: 1UP: OK, to start: Who talked with whom first? What was the process in making this happy Suda/Mikami/Grasshopper/EA family? Goichi Suda: First of all, I had ideas about this game and presented them to Mikami and asked him how he felt. And Mikami showed a big interest, and really wanted to help make this game happen, and that's why this collaboration started. Shinji Mikami: Actually, when I looked at this proposal four years ago, and when I saw it for the first time, I thought "wow, this is amazing" and fell in love with the ideas. "I need to find somebody to help create this game, because it will be a great game" -- that's how I felt when I saw his proposal. http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3169360 This points to be Kurayami, it fits perfectly, also the concept art of the project came a few months after Killer7 launch, and they already said us that is an Action Horror game.

EA certainly does have the budget to make a game like Kurayami. So it may actually turn out decent. I'd prefer Kurayami over some parody GTA NMH game anyway. It looks like GHM is next on EA's hitlist. (To exploit & throw away.) EA teamed up with Squaresoft during the psone days. EA teamed up with Koei during the first three years of the PS2 generation. Now EA is working with the same set of producers/directors that worked on Killer 7. It turns out that K7 truly was a prestigious title, if the recognition that Suda got from K7 & NMH was enough to get GHM a contract with EA. It was probably NMH that turned EA's heads. I'm just hoping that this new game doesn't play anything like NMH. The gameplay better feel like a Mikami game, and the narrative vintage Suda. The problem with Killer 7 is that it seemed that Suda & Mikami couldn't decide on what to concentrate on. K7's story & play mechanics felt halfway Mikami, & half way Suda.
