lol, he also said in a recent interview that he thinks for new ideas when he's taking a shit.
kaxantrom- 02-13-2008
suda's ideas are weird so he pwns :P
ferlanga- 02-13-2008
Theres no better place to think than while taking a crap, seriously.
Lisker- 02-14-2008
I hear he doesn't flush so an EA executive can come in later and collect what's there to use for their own shit games.

Havent you heard? The cool fad of bashing EA at every available chance has come and gone.

They haven't stopped sucking any less, or have become any less annoying.

I thought Skate was a pretty good game and that Dead Space looks inteesting and Army of Two could be good. It's good to see them put out some new IPs. I'm not sure if Lisker's just keeping his head in the sand or just doesnt keep up with what kind of stuff is coming out.
Dalemushashi- 02-15-2008
Their a mainstream game company, so I kind of have to hate on them. Admit idly Army Of Two looked pretty good, other then that I don't like sports games(especially xtreme sports). Their was a boxing game they did recently that was good though.
Lisker- 02-15-2008
I've been trashing them for years, for as long as they've been the shittiest mainstream game maker, not to mention I blame them more than any other for the popularizing of the idea of not bothering to insert quality into their games. And if trashing EA is popular, that's new to me. Unless by 'trash' you mean' 'suck off the company at any opportunity by buying every lump of shit they put out and defending it from any who choose not to be mindless drones on every corner of the internet'. Then yeah, 'trashing' EA is a serious problem. I will admit though that the joke was out of line. Because anything that came out of Suda's ass would clearly be more original than the bullshit released by EA. Don't get me wrong though, I realize only releasing shit that's exactly the same as everything else except with slightly better graphics has worked very well for them, so don't think by any means that I feel they're bad businessmen. On the contrary, I feel they've done very well for themselves for a company that only puts out shit. Don't think that I feel their games are shit because they're 'mainstream' either, I love lots of games that are considered mainstream, it's just a coincidence that most 'mainstream' companies tend to put out interchangeable first-person shooters that are exactly the same. In any case, I think I'll keep my head in the sand, it's a better place for my cranium than the bedstand as I proudly get reamed in the ass by some EA executive. Or SCEA executive. Or Microsoft executive. Or whatever. Not to say none of these companies put out anything original or 'good', it's that just wading through a sea of shit to find a small pebble of gold is far too time-consuming these days.

EA sports anyone? :P

Well the one EA game I remembering being really good was Freedom Fighters. They didn't MAKE Rock Band but they distributed it and that game is a LOT of fun.
KIRBY 7- 03-02-2008
EA didn't make Freedom Fighters either. IO Interactive did.
http://www.ioi.dk/games/freedomfighters.htm
A Freedom Fighters sequel was planned, and was going to be published by Eidos, but they changed their mind & made Kane & Lynch instead.
(The final 6 levels of K&L play like a shitty version of Freedom Fighters.)
Yup, I know this because Io is prolly my favorite western development team.
(Their games have some seriously kickass gameplay. I own every single IO game except the original Hitman & K & L.)
Lisker- 03-02-2008
Freedom Fighters was great, the theme, character design, and overall style was generic as hell for a western game, but the gameplay was addictive. Too bad it, like all American games I've enjoyed, was too damn short.
Jedilink- 03-22-2008
Well I'm just sick of all of these shooter games that all look exactly the same as one another. What's the point? Is it THAT HARD to come up with something else to do in videogames? I mean, 2007 and early 2008 were the year of the shooters! I've NEVER seen this many come out one after the other. Is it ever going to end?
And yes I will say that EA is responsible for coming up with some cool looking new ideas. Dead Space looks pretty sweet and Army of Two looks entertaining enough, although still probably not as interesting to me as Kane and Lynch.
