MGS 4 looks like it's going to be fun as hell though. Kojima can write some interesting mind fucks whenever he wants to (Policenauts) He just takes it easy & goes the big bang over budgeted hollywood route with MGS,because of all the bad press he recieved from MGS 2. Wow I'm really confused now. But I was able to pin that Emir/Garcian was one person through out K7 and not some reincarnation, even before I read any plot faqs. Now that you've said all this about the Silver Case, my real question is, what is the Silver Case? A weapon? My guess is you've already answered this and I'm just wasting time. As for K7 I still have questions regarding who Harman and Kun are. Especially after all that you've said. I just dont know. Alot happens in that game and because none of it is explained it just leaves you feeling stupid. Its great though, because I loved every second of it. K7 is still the king of mind fucks in American games. MGS I'm sorry, but I just dont care anymore. And yeah I will play MGS portable Ops, just to see WTF is up with the anti-snake pinhead character. I wouldn't worry about it, even people in Japan say the story for Killer 7 is confusing. (Mainly because Suda deleted more than half of the story from the final game.) This guy played through the games in the same order I did. (Killer 7,FSR,Silver Case) http://bring.under.jp/jinsay/category84/ I tried reading his blog to see if he knew anything bout Killer that we don't but he's just as confused as everybody else. --- No there are no super secret special weapons that can blow up a whole country in the Silver Case. "Silver Case" the video game is a cop drama, and doesn't rely on cheap plot devices such as an "uber elite weapon" that most video games tend to rely on. The story for Silver case is so massive that they've even released Silver Case novels in Japan just to fill in the blanks. (The novels are from Sakura Natsume's point of view. She's the chick that I quote in the front pages for both the Silver Case & FSR fan sites.) The title "Silver Case" refers to a stand alone complex. (Sequence of unrelated events that were all influenced by the same incident.) Have you checked the Silver Case fan site? http://killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/silver/index.htm It tell's you that the Silver Case is merely an incident that involved a hitman that killed over ten TRO/CCO executives. (It's later revealed the the hitman was actually killed during the assassination attempt. The remaining executives killed each other just to salvage the hitmans remains.) Literally the game's title "Silver Jiken" should be translated to "Silver Incident" to avoid confusion, but I guess Suda went with Silver case, because it sounded better. When I finally complete the Silver Case fan site I'm hoping that I can convey all the random madness that occurrs & still does to this day, because of Uehara Kamui. ---- Your question about Harman & Kun are off topic, but I'll try to answer it anyway. Like I said the reason why K7 is so confusing is because they deleted all the Jaco checkbox reports from the video game. http://killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/report.htm (I only copied the document half way before I got bored. You have to read the rest of the Jaco Reports at Deltahead Trans.) http://www.deltaheadtranslation.com/adilegian/HAND_IN_KILLER7.txt The "hand in killer 7" faq claims that the Jaco checkbox reports are just reports that you read during the game, but if the Silver Case's "Placebo" reports is any indication I'd have reason to believe that you were actually suppose to play through the Jaco check box reports. (I could see why they took that part out though. Not many gamers are willing to sit through seas of text. In Silver Case the only thing you do during the Placebo reports is read e-mails & interrogate witnesses around the Kyouka 24 ward.) One of the main reasons why I don't disregard hik7 all together is because a large chunk of the puzzle is revealed to you if you read through the Jaco Checkbox reports (Jack Foley). So much so that I feel that the Jaco Reports are still relevant to the game. Jaco Checkbox fills in all the missing pieces regarding why,how & who was giving the missions to Mills, to relay to the Killer 7. He even tells you about how his daughter was a friend of Samantha's. It turns out that every mission that the Killer 7 was assigned were carefully constructed by somebody within the government (Not Jack) to take down the Heaven Smiles. Jack was manipulating the Killer 7,because he wanted to seek revenge on Kun Lan for turning his family into smiles. (Jack had to kill his own wife & daughter, because they became smiles.) In the final Jaco Checkbox report, Jack says he's had enough & he's going straight for Kun Lan, at the asylum. The real Kun Lan is just a feeble old man in an insane asylum. The Kun Lan you see through out the whole game was a celestial being. He's more like a voice of your concience/chaotic/retribution egging you on to do what he wants you to do. The real Kun Lan is never seen nor mentioned in the Killer 7 game. Kun Lan IS in the prelude, and you're also contracted to kill him,but even than the reality of that incident is suspect. Mills can only tell you what the government tells him to say. (We all know what happens if Mills doesn't, some hot chick will snipe his ass full of bullets.) So he wouldn't know any specific details about Kun Lan other than what he already told Garcian. The only known absolute is that a group of terrorists (Redgunners, the 4 victims of the prolouge.) were murdered in cold blood by the Smiles. IMO the Redgunners were the real purpose of sending Garcian to that abandoned building in the prelude/ The Silver Case also begins with the gruesome murders of several random individuals (These victims are actually hostages or dead swat members.) that occurred in the abandoned factory, Cauliflower. (You go to cauliflower, because some smuck <http://killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/Silverlunatics01.wmvthat tried to kill Toriko's dad ran & hid there.) Here's the last part from the prelude. http://killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/Silverlunatics02.wmv (I used my webcam so the footage is blurry.) The real Harman Smith is unknown. Jack Foley (Jaco Checkbox) believes that Harman Smith is that old guy living in Garcian's trailer. Although Jack himself also points out that like everybody else including the Killer 7, he's just a pawn in the grand scheme of things so Jack wouldn't be privy to the information concerning Harman's identity. Others think the dead guy that Garcian see's in the safe is Harman Smith. If you want my opinion Harman Smith is just a word, or a state of mind. Not a person, place or thing. The real Harman Smith is or was the dead guy in the safe, but he still lives on through Emir's mind/memories. Young Harman Smith is exactly who he says he is, an agent of the government. Yet again, just like Linda Vermilion he does not specify which government. I also feel that the young Harman played a large part in constructing the reality that Garcian lived. (Government agent Harman Smith is the person that Emir met after his mental breaking down) He could be the real Harman Smith, but he could just as easily be just a government agent who had acess to Emir's personal files/records & pretended to be Harman Smith. Young Harman also played a vital role in deconstructing Garcian's reality as well. He sent Matsuken to Coburn, if he hadn't Matsuken would've been killed or detained by Garcian during his first Union Hotel visit. (Samantha & Chris Mills were also elminated, both of whom were responsible for facilitating Garcian's constructed reality. It seems one of the higher ups in the government felt the two outlived their usefullness or somebody is orchestrating a mutiny from the inside.) IMO the celestial Harman is just a god in Harman's image. It can take on any form, but for the game it takes on the shape of Harman Smith. Like Kun Lan, he's probably just a voice of consience/law & reason that has the ability to interact & debate with you. If there's one thing I do know is that if for some unknown reason capcom decides to continue Killer 7,and it happens to be a direct sequel to K7. The next game won't be anywhere near as confusing, because Emir Parkreiner is free from his microchipping. He'll either be a freelance hitman like Golgo 13, or if he's really that angsty Emir might try to topple the United States government for playing games with his mind like that. (Emir already destroyed Japan so the U.S. is next.)

Ah hah, look at what I found. I was looking for a way to attain a copy of Moonlight Syndrome & an ROTK VI Iso when I stumbled upon this website. Silver Case - ISO http://209.160.33.96/board/showthread.php?t=10887 If you've been itching to play Silver Case, now's you're chance. Just download & save all five rars to your desktop. When all five rar downloads are finished, open one of the rar archives & extract them to your PSOne emulator directory. It should work. BTW here's Yuyami http://209.160.33.96/board/showthread.php?t=18986 Another side story of the Twilight Syndrom series. (However, unlike Moonlight Syndrome. Yuyami has nothing to do with Suda 51's games) Now if y'all don't mind I got some more games to try out. I've been dying to play those detective Juguiji games, & f'ng Kowloon's Gate. (I haven't tried this Silver Case image out myself, because why should I? I already own the game. However I have downloaded Langrisser IV & V, Policenauts,Bushido Blade 2,Uncharted Waters 4,Yuyami,Romance of the Three Kingdoms VI,etc. & so far most of them seem to work perfectly fine....except Dynasty Warriors.) For those brave souls out there who are man (or dumb) enough (Your preference) to take on the challenge. Here are the required codes needed in order to advance through Silver Case. For some reason the first two stages (Lunatics & Decoy man) of the game are harder than any thing else that occurrs in the Silver Case. (The only other challenge is the struggle with boredom that you'll have at the end of the game as you race up to the top of the tv tower before Tsuguro Kusabi kills all the prepertuators of the Silver Case.) The following is from a Japanese faq that I used to aid moi through the game. (I don't remember the link, I copied & pasted the faq to a text box.) Although I cut the majority of it out & added my own commentary instead. (Some of it is still in engrish as I'm too lazy to rewrite it. I'll do the entire faq some day whenever I update K7 SIN.) #0 Lunaticcs 1.D2A6. 2. BBCFBCC3B8C0DEBBB2. 3.B5 B2B five B2B five B2B 5B2 4.D3B3B5DCD8B6D6 5. Is anyone having problems with the link http://209.160.33.96/board/showthread.php?t=10887 Check Update: ok it worked. Damn its rapidshare , a nogo for me. Also Topdrunkee(admin) , i have sent you PM. Need walkthrough, how did you end the game?

KIRBY 7- 04-19-2007

Yeah rapidshare sucks, it took moi three days just to download Kowloon's Gate. This is the walk through that I used. http://www.d3.dion.ne.jp/~ishinabe/silver.htm The walkthrough is basically all you need to beat the game. It should be noted that it only contains a wlakthrough for the Transmitter cases (The main game) The placebo reports are not covered in the walk through at all. (The reports mostly consist of hour long monolouges as the reporter trys to unravel the mystery across the city.) IMO the only hard parts of the game are the first two levels. (Due to the hardcore password protection) The 2nd case (Level three) could get quite problematic since you have to investigate various residents of the Typhoon apartment complex, but nothing too drastic. The rest of the levels should be a walk in the park since the game plays more like a digital comic than anything else. The last level starts off with you and the entire Felnious crew (HMD) infiltrating an international eviornmental building only to see Uehara Camui (The man who was assumed to be responsible for the Silver Case murders.) getting gunned down by some Japanese swat team before your eyes. http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/silver/silverkamuiuehara.swf Flower, Sun & Rain are connected to one another & I have added in the final Silver Case chapter details into Sundance Shot's bio for the FSR page. http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/hotelfsr/hotelfsrguest.htm#ed Note: The following are spoilers concerning one of the sub plots of Silver Case. Though I'd advise you to read it since I've seen some individuals on other forums being mislead by the red herrings that I wrote at the front page of my Silver Case site. The red herrings are only meant to set intrique in motion, & by the end of the game the "official" account of the Silver Case are actually discovered to be fabricated in order to manipulate the anxiety of the populace. I intentionally wrote hyperbole on the front page, since I was planning to spread most of the details of the story through out the SC site. Sundance is believed to be the main antagonist of the story, or at least the nominal villain. (FSR,as with most Suda 51 games, doesn't really have a villain.) While his intentions are usually honourable, his methods are a bit suspect. The FSO party leader. He once controlled a nonprofit organization that was extremely conservative in their beliefs. It is assumed that the assassin,Uehara Kamui was sent to the TRO/CCO union 20+ years ago & slayed ten of the allied parties executives. The events that followed created a domino effect that escalated & matured into the "Silver Case". (It's later revealed that the Event 20+ years ago was committed by Fujiwara Kamui,a hired killer that Sundance used as his trump card. Fujiwara invaded the television tower where the VIP's of the TRO/CCO alliance gathered and tried to exterminate as many as he could. Tsuguro Kusabi shot Uehara Kamui &arrested him. The aftermath of this event was later to be privately known as the "Silver Case") At least that's what the urban myth says, Fujiwara (Formatto) Camui was actually killed during the assassination attempt, but the remaining VIP's killed each other to obtain his Silver eye. The deaths of the other vips were later added on to Fujiwara's death toll. Sundance's FSO wanted to defy the TRO/CCO's Camui Mass Professional plan. To keep this short let's just say that the FSO did not agree with the "shelter children" program. The FSO political party was dismantled before the events of the game "Silver Case" (1999) The former leader, Sundance was nowhere to be found. It turns out that he was actually chilling at Lospass resort during the 1999 Silver incident. I've also listed some details from the final scenario of the Silver Case at Tokio's bio http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/hotelfsr/hotelfsrguest.htm#tokio Tokio Morishima,is the reporter whom you control during the Silver Case Placebo reports. (The missions on the left are the main missions. Which are Cases/Incidents related to the Silver Case & the missions on the right are the Placebo reports which give out analytical foresight regarding the Silver Case.) Tokio Morishima the true hero of the Silver Case. Although he pretty much did nothing but check his e-mail everyday , smoke & went out drinking. Kiyoshi Morikawa, who was quite intimate with Chizuru Hachizuka. (Daughter of the chief of the 24 ward.) Handed over his pocketbook that recorded the events of the Silver Case to Tokio Morishima before the crack down of CASE#5 Lifecut began. (Shortly after Morikawa was gunned down by Tsuguro Kusabi. Morikawa's,lover Chizuru was shot once in the heart & took another slug to the head from Sakura Natsume.) Tokio Morishima was given the pocket book, because it was thought that he could be trusted. (Tokio is a distant relative of Chizuru Hachizuka. Well more like brother & sister.) However it was an error on their part, since Tokio Morishima took the next plane out of Kyoka, and went on vacation. Depriving their father of the silver eye. Tokio is a journalist who was investigating the "Silver Case" Turns out that he's been hanging out at Lospass since the events of the "Silver Case" He will help you out immensely with a treasure trove of information, that is if you can find where the bloody hell he's hiding out at. I list Mr. Morishima as a cameo, because he only appears in one part of the game. His scene is an important one though. You could probably compare his appearance to that of Linda Vermilion from Killer 7. Except he's nowhere near as vague. Here's story details about the Case #3 (Which is actually the fourth level.) It contains background story about Sumio & this Case is directly related to Suda51's "Moonlight Syndrome" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXZnWF4Zivs Ending http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGWSsDOhWFM (There's a cliffhanger ending after the credits.) Kill the past *spoilers* Silver Case ~ background story from CASE#3 PARADE Some links direct you to a .wmv file that further illustrates Sumio's background. Sumio came from a town called Mikmomura. Everybody from Mikmomura was under the pay roll of the Iregyura Yuki factory. Waste water from the factory greatly attributed to the rise of pollution within the area. Adults of Mikmomura demonstrated pro-*test*-('")s against the factory every week. The pro-*test*-('")s gradually became cruel, and disorderly. The chaotic nature of the pro-*test*-('")'s became to be known as the "Parade" http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/silverparade.wmvreferring to the congregation of pro-*test*-('")ing madmen. The "parade" attacked the manager of Mikumo 77. The manager's family tried to flee, but they and the house they resided in were nothing more than a husk of cast-off skin by the end of the night. The manager's daughter Riru, was the sole survivor of the family. Sumio grabbed Riru by the hand, and tried to slip out of the city. They were eventually caught by the "Parade". The adults of the "Parade" antagonized Riru & labeled her a witch. Sumio & all of whom who tried to protect Riru were punished for their transgressions. (Hiseki & Fyuki are Sumio's childhood friends. Riru the eldest of them all was a girl that he yearned for.) Hiseki's punishment, so as not to see the witch, eyes are crushed. Fyuki's punishment, so as not to call the witch, the mouth is sewn. So as not to hear the witch's voice, oil was poured into Sumio's ears. And, Riru is violated & raped to death by adults, she was only eight years old. Sumio held a grudge http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/silversumiorevenge.wmv against all Iregyura Yuki, especially the ringleader and he had a grudge against the ominous Mikumo. 20 years later- During a case that involved investigating Mikmomura. Sumio executed the plan to manipulate the Iregyura Yuki to annihilate the city from his child hood. One by one the members of the Iregyura Yuki committed suicide by either blowing their selves apart with time bombs or fell to their deaths. The chairman of the Iregyura Yuki self detonated http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/silvermikumosumio.wmv the Snow Tower which resulted in taking out the entire village of Mikmomura along with it. He tried to conceal the injury of his ear, but was eventually caught & detained when his conversation was leaked through lip reading. I wish I could tell you more, but I'm saving all of that for when I update. I'm thinking of finally updating the site sometime this weekend. (It's been a 3 month long hiatus since I've worked on this site.)

I've dl the iso, and the game looks awesome. But I can't really figure out what's happening. The gameplay is pretty self-explanatory, but I really wanted to understand the story, which is the point of the whole thing. The character designs are beautiful... Sorry, I'm whore for things like this. I'd pay money for a translation of this game, but it seems like an ammount of work only comparable to Policenauts'. A while ago I thought that learning Japanese only to play a game would be a stupid idea, but now, damn, the overwhelming number of cool stuff a few people are doing over there is seriously messing with my head. I understand a few of the dialogue or at least I can read the katakana and hiragana (regardless of being able to translate it or not), but I get stuck at most of the kanji. Jeez, the best way to learn Japanese, is to start figuring out the most common kanji, and then all that is left is translate it (imo it's the easiest part, once you get the kanji). After that, the translation learning process is easy, just listen/read some subtitled movies. After a while one should start to pick up the meaning and sense of the words, and finally, one starts to pick up translation mistakes in the subtitles... This means i'm on the right path. Fuck, I'm giving advice to myself publicly...

KIRBY 7- 09-21-2007

http://www.siliconera.com/2007/09/20/suda-51-on-violence-in-no-more-heroes/ The Silver Case remake for the DS. (Which also includes the sequel Silver Case 25 Ward.) Will be localized to the West by Ubisoft. At least according to the webmaster of Siliconera who was sworn to secrecy by Suda 51 himself. The news is leaked in hthe comments section. (I was looking for info about Persona 4, but no new news yet.) I'm relieved that Ubisoft will be handling the translation, because at least they have the funds necessary to translate two full blown novels that come in the form of a video game. I hope that Suda 51 has the sense to add in Natsume Sakura's case as an extra for the first Silver Case game. (In Japan, Natsume Sakura's case came in the form of a novel. Rather than a game.) 1. http://www.d3.dion.ne.jp/~ishinabe/silver.htm The translation is in jap. i used translation through babelfish but it gave error. How did uyou managed to use this guide, do you get japanses? You only asked for a walkthrough. Not one translated in ENglish. (There are no English walk throughs for the game.) I'd pay money for a translation of this game, but it seems like an ammount of work only comparable to Policenauts'. Policenauts doesn't have as much dialogue as Silver Case. SC feels like a digital novel. Especially when you're playing Tokio's Placebo reports. The first chapter in his game is just chilling. When you read e-mails from his friend Erica detailing about an interview she made with a woman named Ayame Shimohira, who met Uehara Kamui. We later find out that Ayame Shimohira has a higher level of consciousness than Kamui himself. Uehara Camui is actually her "servant" or something like that. I can't explain Shimohira's & Camui's relationship with each other. It's like they don't even live in this world or some shit. They just interact with it. They both get sent to jail at the end of the 1st official mission. Although Uehara Camui breaks out of the asylum again in the final episode.) The character designs are beautiful... Sorry, I'm whore for things like this. Yeah the cast of Silver Case/Flower Sun & Rain is probably my second favorite world of characters after Persona. Don't get too attached to the characters though, because only four of them survive at the end of the game. (Five if you include the playable character. I choose not to though. Due to a narrative plot twist that occurs right before the game ends.) A while ago I thought that learning Japanese only to play a game would be a stupid idea, but now, damn, the overwhelming number of cool stuff a few people are doing over there is seriously messing with my head. Damn I feel like spoilering the last chapter for you, although I probably already spoiled it many times in the forum, but I'll hold back for now. Since I didn't really understood what happened anyway. Even if you do understand the dialogue you'll still get lost, because much of what's being said is abstract & metaphorical. (Typically when we translate texts from Japanese/Chinese/Korean to English. We usually end up with broken sentences that read literally rather than the originally intended meaning.) BTW pay close attention to Chap.3 or 4. (I don't remember.) It's the case where the entire level is in Black & white. That's Sumio's case that directly relates to Moonlight Syndrome. He gets arrested at the end of the level. His story than continues on in the Silver Case novel chronicling around Sakura Natsume. Sumio's replacement. From there Sumio's story continues in Suda 51's "Flower, Sun & Rain". Finally we get to see the la-*test*-('") update of Sumio's life during the Digital Man case in Silver Case 25 Ward. Returning characters from FSR include, Koshimizu Yoshimitsu, & Toriko Kusabi.

Kitano Smith- 12-14-2007

Finally, and thanks to those codes you gave up, I've been able to pass the first stage. I'm now at Decoyman. Actually, the codes needed to be input were hinted at at the katakana display just above the fixed console lock. I mean, at least that's what I think, maybe some sort of alphanumerical code, like A-1 B-2, for example. A few notable things I've got to say - the atmosphere is akin to a horror movie, but with the razor-sharp touch of a great psycho-thriller (TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE). The music and artwork do an excellent job at this, and I'm now very interested in the OST. update: couldn't find it. Currently in the process of ripping the sounds from the game... To top it up, it also has the cold dignity of a great cyberpunk novel. The dynamic user interface is awesome. The screen breaks its structure very often to a great effect. I'm pretty much at the edge of my seat anticipating what is gonna come next. Once I've finished the game, I've got to play it again to make screenshots of everything. Is it true that this game was made by three people? I'm now seriously reconsidering my K7 comic project - I think I'm gonna try doing the same but in a visual interactive novel form... But again, those dynamic interface tricks are gonna be hard to pull off for an inexperienced ignorant like myself using pre-made devkits. edit: shit. I'm at a loss here on how to correctly get decent music files out of the .seq files. Using pgconv I can only get midi files created from the fucking windows synthesizer, which sound awful, of course. Must find a way to get a program that actually accesses both the individual pieces of sound and the .seq's from the game to organize everything into a decent track. But I haven't found anything yet that does this. PSXur is great to rip everything else though, movies, sfx, everything. To the point that it actually rips the font tables too.

I think, maybe some sort of alphanumerical code, like A-1 B-2, for example. Yeah one of the codes refers to Kamui, I think. This code for example is almost always displayed whenever the Silver Case game is advertised. KILL THE PAST CADE B2B1 DDBB D4B6 KILL THE LIFE A few notable things I've got to say - the atmosphere is akin to a horror movie, but with the razor-sharp touch of a great psycho-thriller (TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE TASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTETASUKETTE). LOL, I actually referenced that exact scene in that Killer 7 fan game that I was working on. Except in my version she says HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP E E E E E E E E E E L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L ................................................................................. Note: In the game I was working on. There were suppose to be spaces between the letters E & L. The letters would eventually change from Help to Hell. The longer you took to read the message. The dynamic user interface is awesome. The screen breaks its structure very often to a great effect. I'm pretty much at the edge of my seat anticipating what is gonna come next. Yup, that's why I'm irritated with Suda 51. For keeping his true writing prowess hidden from the public. I want more people to discover how classy & mature Suda's writing style actually is. Killer 7 at it's best would only make a cool comic book. Silver Case at it's finest would be a full length novel. (In fact one of the chapters in the original Silver Case game actually was released as a novel. I never read it, but it takes place after Case 4 & before the final chapter. Not that I'd be able to read the novel anyway. It's in Japanese.) It's too bad that Suda keeps most of his mature work in Japan. Whereas his satirical pieces such as NMH & K7 are open world wide to the public. (They're good & all. I even like NMH. I just wish that Suda would punch everybody in the face with his darker, more mature "Silver Case" material. Or his more original approach to story telling in games with his FSR.) BTW FSR isn't anywhere near as dark as Silver Case. FSR does still have that sense of mystique, intrigue, sense of dread & aura of suspense that SC has though. It just takes a more Mulholland Drive approach to suspense. In the sense that the game makes you feel like you're walking straight into a wall without realizing it. Due to the seemingly light & serene atmosphere of both MD & FSR. Hell Ed Macalister's robotic smile reminds moi of that same creepy smile that the old couple does in MD. FSR is the one game from Suda that feels almost exactly like a David Lynch film. (Whereas the rest of his games have mannerisms like a Lynchian flick. You'd almost swear that FSR would be the game Lynch would make if he ever made a video game.) I'm now seriously reconsidering my K7 comic project - I think I'm gonna try doing the same but in a visual interactive novel form... Ah, but I love what you currently have going on with your project. You actually emulated the erratic vibe of Killer 7 to a tee. (Judging by some of those dialogue scans that you posted in your Hik 7 comic thread. The line Kaede said had I cracking up.) Which is something that I'm still struggling with. I prefer to have a consistent ambiance & vibe permeating through the whole production. (Which is something Killer 7 doesn't have. K7's atmosphere is completely random.) As a result of that. The K7 game that I was working on felt more like a Silver Case game than it did K7. (Which is why my K7 SINdrome gameplay trailer looked all gloomy, eerie, scary & shit. To the point that I transferred all of that K7 sindrome work to Daydream Cafe/Mourning Symphony instead.) But again, those dynamic interface tricks are gonna be hard to pull off for an inexperienced ignorant like myself using pre-made devkits. You can somewhat emulate the same visual tricks used in Silver Case with Rpg maker, but it's going to take a shit load of pictures to do so. I had one that said ILLogical ILLogical MenStraShuN ILLogical PERceptShUN ILLogical DiSScusShUN ILLogical KastrayShunUn Wut Iz DA KwestShun? What I did was create my own visual techniques in place of the ones used by SC. Although it's all moot, since I'm no longer working on the K7 game. (Way too much writing, plus everybody was expecting some kind of "Final Fantasy" style K7 prequel out of me. When in reality all I wanted to do was expand on the dichotomy between the spiritual divine & information warfare concepts from K7 & SC. ) I have a shit load of humourous but badass dialogue in the works for Daydream Cafe though. (I want to rename it to Mourning Symphony, but the problem is that I already have the Daydream Cafe title screen made. The Daydream title screen looks way too classy to just throw away.) shit. I can't help you with ripping the music. SInce I'm still trying to figure that out myself. (The only technique that I use to get the music, is to record the song using a sound recorded while the game is being played. The quality is ass though.) Be sure to post hem here whenever you do rip the songs though. I love the soundtrack to Silver Case. Silver Case's soundtrack kinda reminds moi of a hybrid between Persona's old school ost's & the ost of the original Deus Ex.

Be sure to post hem here whenever you do rip the songs though. I love the soundtrack to Silver Case. Silver Case's soundtrack kinda reminds moi of a hybrid between Persona's old school ost's & the ost of the original Deus Ex. I sense good news for you. After doing a bit of requesting at the gh.ffshrine forums, looks like someone was (finally) kind enough to find us: The Silver #01 Structure He/She said that the other two I requested #02 Destructor and #03 Parade were so far nowhere to be found. I'm just waiting for the upload. By the looks of it, between today and tomorrow. Or maybe it's just my anticipation talking.

KIRBY 7- 01-18-2008

Shit, Parade is the one I want most, because it's full of hip hop remixes. (I'm interested to see how that turns out. Considering that Parade had some pretty damn eerie sounding cuts.) BTW I've actually started on recording some music from Silver Case through the epsxe emulator. I haven't ripped many songs yet though, because I'm trying to rearrange the content of the entire K7 site. (I'm also working on devising some Moonlight Syndrome pages.)

If you ever get around it Topdrunkee, uploading some rips of Silver Case would awesome. Masafumi Takada did do the soundtrack for it, correct? If so....i my ears definitely need to hear it

I believe there's a technical error in my previous post. Parade is actually part 2 of #02 Destructor. They're both remix albums.

KIRBY 7- 01-18-2008

I believe there's a technical error in my previous post. Parade is actually part 2 of #02 Destructor. They're both remix albums. Parade is still sold separately. Destuctor has more tracks, but Parade had remixes by Hip Hop djs who are relatively popular in Japan. Parade is some kind of maxi single as there's only 7 or 8 songs, and 4 of them are remixes of the same exact song, lol. It's kinda like how there's two FSR albums, http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/dl.htm#fsr but the one with all the techno music is only available at GHM Records. (Even then, both of FSR's osts are missing a shit load of music. Which is why I ripped the songs from the game disc itself.) I'm hoping that GHM will finally release a full 4 disc cd soundtrack of FSR when the DS version drops. If you ever get around it Topdrunkee, uploading some rips of Silver Case would awesome. Masafumi Takada did do the soundtrack for it, correct? If so....i my ears definitely need to hear it I already made some a long time ago, http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/dl.htm#silver but they have poor sound quality. If I were you I'd wait for the remixes. While the music in Silver Case had some pretty kick ass melodies. The cuts used in game sound like they were composed from a cheap ass keyboard. (GHM only had 4 employees at the time they made SC.) The remixes sound much better. (Same melodies, better use of instruments & composition.) Here's three Silver Case remixes that were used in Flower, Sun, & Rain. Sousa (Investigation) FSR remix http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/SousaFSRmix.mp3 This the original version of Sousa that was used in SC. http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/SC-SOUSA.mp3 Notice how much smoother Sousa sounds in the FSR remix when compared to the original. Silver Case (Jazzy lounge mix) http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/silvercaseFSRmix.mp3 The original Silver Case song from the SC intro http://killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/silver/scintro.swf One of the only songs from the original that didn't have low sound quality. (The Silver Case theme is probably one of the best compositions that Masafumi has made.) Shelter policy http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSR~shelterpolicy.mp3 A remix of Tokio Morishima's song was also used in Flower, Sun, & Rain, but I can't find it anywhere in the FSR game disc. This is what the original Morishima song sounded like. http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/SC-TokioMorishima.mp3 (It's very bouncy & girly sounding. Which is ironic considering that Morishima is a manly man who smokes 24/7 & has a pet turtle.) Masafumi makes the OST for every GHM game. I think he even made the ost for Moonlight Syndrome which was the last game Suda worked on before he formed GHM. http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/dl.htm#moon (I'm not sure, but the music does sound like his style.) My favorite soundtrack from Masafumi is FSR. (Followed by Killer 7.) For some reason only his Kill the past themed osts (Including No More Heroes) catch my ear drums. Michigan's ost was generic survival horror shit, and I just couldn't get into God Hand's music. (As funny as it was.) My favorite songs by Masafumi are the F.S.R. theme song (There's more than one version, so I'll list them all.) Intro version http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSRintromix.mp3 Full version http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSR-21%20F.S.R.mp3 R-15 mix http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSR~theatermix.mp3 Save point remix http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSRremix.mp3 & the Moonlight Syndrome theme song http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/Moonlight%20Syndrome.mp3 Unfortunately I can't find the full version of this song anywhere. (It's not hidden anywhere in the game disc.) I know there's a full version of the MS theme some where, because it's used as BGM in this MS preview trailer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXZnWF4Zivs EDIT: I can't believe I forgot about Without Chewing Gum Syrup http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSR~WithoutChewingGumSyrup.mp3 Deepshot of Midnight Sun http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSR~DeepShotOfMidnightSun.mp3 & Investigation http://www.killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/FSR~Investigation.mp3 from FSR
