True Grave- 09-20-2006

Yeah, after Killer 7 I want every single one of Suda 51's games. And a system to play them on. I really want to play FSR.

BobTheDarkOne- 09-20-2006

Both of those games are on Ps1 right?

True Grave- 09-20-2006

I know FSR is on the PS2...

shabb- 09-21-2006

I ordered FSR yesterday on yesasia.com they still got it there...does anybody know if its in japanese only, or english too?

True Grave- 09-21-2006

Shit! gotta jump on that!

shabb- 09-22-2006

is it that rare? and is it in english too? or are there some translations?

Emir- 09-23-2006

I've heard The Silver Case is very hard to track down (I'm after a copy myself).

shabb- 09-25-2006

oh ok. would you like to mail me if you found a source where you can buy it? thanks

KIRBY 7- 10-21-2006

oh ok. would you like to mail me if you found a source where you can buy it? thanks I special ordered a copy at Neo Amusement. http://www.neoamusement.com/ I paid 86 $ to cop a copy & I was a bit suspicious that they would just pocket my cash, but the man who runs Neo Amusment is a French man who resides in Japan. Just send him an e-mail saying that you wish to special order a copy of Silver Case /Silver Jiken. ---- Here's the official Relationship chart of the characters from the Silver Case. The chart is part of the instruction manual. (It came with the game,I had to resize some of the photos, because the chart was too big to fit into a scanner.) Click thumbnail to enlarge Note: It's going to be some what hard to see the photo sense photobucket is being a bastard & resizng the pic on me. The people on the top left are civilians. (The man on the far left is Uehara Camui the notorious killer that kick starts the whole Silver Case saga.) The people in the middle of the chart are heads of rival political parties. The man with the long hair is none other than Sundance. (A character that plays a key role in Flower,Sun & Rain, he also made a guest appearance in one of Killer 7's beta trailers as the mystery man that tells you to "Awake from your dream." SUndance does not show up in the game at all, because his party the FSO have already been disbanded before the beggining of the game. Though Sundance's organization pllayed a vital role in the cultivation of the blood thirsty killer, Uehara Camui. The people on the bottom left are employed for the HMD (Human Murder Department) They are also the individuals that you work with on investigations. The bottom right are part of the police department. The man with the question marks is the character that you play as. You get to name him if you wish. His default name is Akira. After the prelude chapter Akira's entire unit is nurdered by the Camui so the police force transfers him to the HMD. The four people above the police department are the four prime suspects. The cats on the top right are the leaders of the 25 ward. One is the chief o the police department. Note: I find it rather interesting how the official Silver Case relationship chart is remarkably similar to my Killer 7 relationship chart that I made. Click thumbnail to enlarge

KIRBY 7- 10-21-2006

What most people outside of Japan don't seem to realize is that Killer 7 is actualy loosely based on the Alternate universe of the Twilight Syndrome called "Moonlight Syndrome" The moon loading screens in Killer 7 are actually a direct reference to the game Moonlight Syndrome, the Silver Case it self is basically the beggining of the Kill the Past themed games. Kill the Past in Silver Case refers to Tetsuguro Kusabi the man who single handledly dispatched a man named Uehara Camui 10 yrs. before 1999. Kill the past in Silver Case also refers to Sumio's thirst for revenge of what happened to him & his friends in the Moonlight Syndrome. Since Sumio lets a certain organization blow up an entire city, Sumio is than arressted. (You never see Sumio again, until Flower,Sun & Rain when he becomes a "Searcher".) If you liked the movie "The Departed" than you'll prolly enjoy Silver Case. Both projects have a similar climax. In the last chapter of the game Tetsuguro Kusabi pretty much elminates every single member of the HMD. (Kusabi's former allies & the current department that you work for.) During the last chapter they make Kusabi appear as if he became a blood thirsty killer similar to Emir Parkreiner, but in reality it is revealed that all your compatriots at the HMD are actually moles & double agents for the TRO/CCO union. So basically eveybody that was part of the hmd are killed by the end of the game exccept Kusabi,You, & Sumio. (Sumio wasn't around for the last chapter, and he has nothing to do with the Tro/CCO plot.) The irony of the Silver Case is that Tetsugurou eliminated every threat except you the main character. Mr. Kusabi had never once questioned the origin of your identity untill Natsume Sakura brought it up. The true identity of Akira is a cliff hanger that is isaved for the sequel SIlver Case 25 ward. Left: Sumio Mondo Right: Tetsuguro Kusabi The woman: i'm not sure, She's either the mother of Uehara Camui's children or Chizuru the daughter of the Chief of the Police Department. Out of the whole GHM universe I feel that Sumio is the lead character of the whole series. Sumio has been around since the Moonlight Syndrome. The only game he didn't appear in is Killer 7. Here's the official Chronology of Sumio that I pulled from a Japanese wikipedia http://www8.atwiki.jp/storyteller/pages/195.html (It's in engrish so I'll reword later when I upload it to the website. I already know what the timeline is referring to,but I'm saving that for the update that will occur once I get a more stable internet connection.) A chronology and that was official ahead each other are put. Chronology Section establishment of 1990.11 heinous crimes 1991.02 "Run off" Kusabi and Ishikawa charge Csabi and 1992.11 Moricawa charge of "Royal nine". Kobayacawa and Ishikawa diein the line of duty 1994.04 "Power girl" Sumio's first assignment. 1996.12 "Steel town" disposal together. Kusabi and Morikawa charge 1997.10 "Moon" Nakatigawa charge 1998.07 "Gas kids" Kusabi and uSmio charge 1999.01 "Pre-Lunatic"('Moonlight syndrome') SILVER CASE game events 1999.01 "Lunaticcs"('Silver event') 1999.03 "Decoy man"('Silver event') 1999.05 "Aftarcamui" Smio and Hatisca charge 1999.06 "Spectrum"('Silver event') 1999.07 "Parade"('Silver event') 1999.08 "Cam id loam"('Silver event') 1999 "Face" Sakura charge 1999.11 "Life cutting"('Silver event') 2000.01 Year 2000 compliance. Cherry charge 2000~ "Lovers" Csabi, Cousaca, and cherry charge ******* "Mondoandorand"('Flower, sun, and rain') ******* "Hyena shot" Csabi and Smio charge ******* "Life and money" Smio and Coshimiz charge ******* "Animal hunting" Csabi, cherry, Smio, Cousaca, and Coshimiz charge ******* "Door lock" Csabi, Smio, Cousaca, and cherry charge ******* "Angel X" Smio charge ******* "Triple kiss" cherry charge ******* "Cutting doctor" Sacagti, Csabi, cherry, Smio, Cousaca, and Coshimiz charge ******* "Call" Kusabi charge 2001.12.24 Sumios becomes a searcher. The following is not part of the time line, but it's an obvious conclsusion made by moi. (Sumio takes a vacaton to Hotel FSR.) Sundance, former political leader of the FSO party. Was last seen at Hotel FSR & was arrested for attempted murder of Sumio Mondo. (I have no idea what he's up to currently since the Silver Case sequel is only availble on Japanese cell phones.) Sundance does not appear in the Silver Case, but he is alluded to. Toriko Kusabi She is the daughter of Tetsugurou Kusabi. Unlike her father she's a bit aloof & unorthodox. She has a strange connection with Sundance. If it weren't for Toriko's actions during FSR, the story of Sumio's life could have very well ended in FSR. Like Sundance,Toriko does not actually appear in the Silver Case. Which is prolly the reason why both Toriko & Sundance play a majour role in the unfolding of events of FSR. They both had concept art for the Silver Case. (WHich are the very pics you see here.) but they weren't actually used in the game. Sumio & Tetsuguro Kusabi, they are empyed for the second division of HMD. Chizuru (I can't make out her surname so I just call her by her first name.) When I first played the Silver Case the first thing I said to myself is, "The only people who will survive the whole game are Sumio & Chizuru." Turns out I was wrong. Sumio did in fact survive, mainly because he was arrested for letting a band of criminals destroy their selves & an entire city along with it. Chizuru is shot in the face two consecutive times by Natsume Sakura while Chizuru was making some death speech after her partner & boyfriend Morikawa is shot dead by Tetsuguro Kusabi. (I assume that Sakura jumped in all of a sudden & killed Chizuru during her speech, because she did not want you character to be influenced by the words of Chizuru who happens to be a profesional negotiator.) The following is how the rest of the HMD died. - Kodai Sumio: The HMD 2nd division are is disbanded & Sumio is arrested for neglegiance. Sumio's replacement ~ - Natsume Sakura: Daughter of Natsume Daigo. She is transferred from public peace special administration to the Kyoka HMD section. - Kotobiki: The leader of HMD is casually shot dead by Tetsugurou Kusabi after a conversation with the two ended. - Morikawa Kiyoshi: The pocketbook that records the silver event is passed to someone (Tokio Morishima, the true hero of the Silver Case,he aslo makes an appearance in FSR.), Morikawa is shot dead by Tetsuguro Kusabi while Morikawawas trying to inform you (The main character) about something. - Chizuru: TRO/CCO union side. Her & Moricawa shared a deep relation with each other. She is shot point blank in the face by Natsume Sakura while she was trying to inform you avbout something. - Nakatigawa Moritika: He betrayed the TRO to side with the FSO plan. He is about to be murdered untill Tetsuguro Kusabi saves him. However Tetsuguro Kusabi guns Morita dead after he rescues him. These two are victims of the aftermath that spreaded through the internet preaching the doctrine of Uehara Camui. THE GOD SUDA 51 I also downloaded some FSR & SIlver case wallpapers from Japanese bbs,but I'll just upload them to the website whenever I get a more stable internet connection. (I'm on a cell phone line right now.) BTW here's a Silver Case winamp that I currently use as my winamp skin. http://gaskids.at.infoseek.co.jp/omake.html This link has scans from every GHM game that is part of the GHM universe. http://gaskids.at.infoseek.co.jp/index.html (Top link is MOONLIGHT SYNDROME 2nd is SILVER CASE 3rd is FLOWER,SUN, & RAIN 4th is KILLER 7) I am currently rearanging the layout to make easier to acces the individual sites, since I now have a lot of info & content that I need to upload for FSR & Silver Case. I am also adding HEROES to the line up since that game seems like it might continue the Kill the Past themed GHM universe games.

True Grave- 11-20-2006

I really want to play this. Well I really want to play all the games in the GHM line up just becasue they all tie into one another. It all started with Killer 7 and now I want the whole story. I really hope that his games come state side even though I know they won't. And yes Suda 51 is a GOD.

KIRBY 7- 11-29-2006

Silver Case is a digital comic, so you can just play Kojima's Snatcher & get a similar experience. Alhough the Silver Case is cooler, has a better story, & a more interesting cast. On the plus side Snatcher is actually in Enlgish & Snatcher in general is a funner game experience. (Snatcher has limited free form gameplay whereas Silver Case is straight forward & linear all the way through. God I hate playing through the Tokio Morishima reports.) The Silver Case sequel plays like a choose your own adventure book, but there's no possible way to get that game. Since it was only released on cell phones I really want to play this. Well I really want to play all the games in the GHM line up just becasue they all tie into one another. It all started with Killer 7 and now I want the whole story. I really hope that his games come state side even though I know they won't. And yes Suda 51 is a GOD. Actually Killer 7 doesn't add much to the Silver Case mythos at all. K7 isn't even part of the same timeline. K7 takes place in an alternate reality where all trans communication is outlawed, and the world is being terrorized by the Heaven Smiles. The world for the Silver Case is not under martial law at all, in fact people still communicate through cell phones & e-mail. In the cell phone sequel of "Silver Case Ward 25" the current timeline of the Silver Case http://25ward.tyabo.com/ During the final chapter of Silver Case 25 (TRANSMITTER: Digital Man), Sumio Kodai (Sumio goes by Kodai in the Silver games.) Makes a remark about the la-*test*-('") where abouts of Toriko's father. (Shit I wonder what the hell Toriko is doing anyway. Is she still at that damn Hotel FSR?) Tsuguro Kusabi is currently working on a case in the United States. Details about his case are never specified. (I guess they're saving Kusabi's U.S. case for a future sequel.) Hopefully the Silver Case will emerge from obscurity one day & become famous in the U.S. like Metal Gear did & make a full 3-d sequel. (Doubtful, I can't imagine Suda 51 wasting his time writing sermon "moral of the day" style plots like Kojima.) I think the "Kill the Past" theme is the only reason why K7 is even considered part of the GHM series. (All "Kill the Past" games involve a segment of stories that revolve around a character that battles their personal demons from the past.) All K7 really does is reference, & borrow themes from FSR, Silver Case & Moonlight Syndrome. The reference's are so blatant & obvious that you could probably call it purgery if K7 weren't made by the same creator. (Although most of us would be oblivious to such details. Even I was, because I also started with Killer 7 like everybody else. The only GHM references I picked up on was Zaka tv & the Ed apparition from FSR.) Like I said in another post I think Killer 7 was an attempt at trying to create a capcom version of the "Silver case", but failed, because he had to cut the majority of the story out of the game. Leaving us with the confused mess that we now call Killer 7. LOL! I can't believe people are still claiming that Garcian Smith is a reincarnation of Emir. When Emir never died in the first place... (They most likely picked up that info from the plot faq.) Even the chronology of the K7/Silver Case levels are the same. The first level is a prelude. second level sets up the background story & setting. Third level is done in a more traditional anime style. (The normal art for Silver Case looks realistic.) Kinda like the Ulmeyda & Handsome man missions. The 3rd level also contributed a lot of background info about Sumio. (4rth level in Killer 7 was dedicated to Dan Smith, but unlike Sumi we don't actually learn much about Dan Smith. Othen than he used to be a resident of Seattle. Where I currently live hah hah. 4rth level is background info of how the internet is a breeding ground for potential terrorists. There's also a side story about how some famous pop idol killed her self. 5th level is when everything goes to hell & most of the main cast is killed. (Somewhat similar to the Union Hotel situation, except the people that you worked with in the Silver Case were actually involved with a complex political scandal. It's also speculated during the ending by Natsume that the main character you play as could've also been part of the TRO/CCO plan. It was actually Natsume & Toriko's father who went around killing their former comrades. Unlike Emir Parkreiner, they were just cops that were trying to right the wrongs of their city. Whereas Emir was just a killer who went on a killing spree.) In the hand in Killer 7 book there's an excerpt called the Jacob Checkbox reports. This was most likely suppose to be the "Placebo archive" of K7. In Silver Case the "Placebo" reports are conducted by Tokio Morishima, and they provide you with analytical insight concerning the story of Silver Case. The normal part of the game is called the "Transmitter" cases, and you play them from the cops point of view. The game Killer 7 is only played through the "Transmitter" perspective. I feel the Jacob checkbox reports are the main missing link that makes Killer 7 so damn confusing. Killer 7 never provided you with an alternate view point from a character that operated behind the scenes. (In Hand in Killer 7, Jacob is the guy who organized most of Garcian's hits in order to take down Kun Lan. He used Samantha Smith in order to manipulate the Harman Smith that manifests during the missiojn briefings.)

KIRBY 7- 11-29-2006

Here's a list of several noticeble similarities. (Along with an assload of background about Silver Case.) 1. (The moon loading screens from K7 happen to be the mission complete screens for Silver Case, both games are actually alluding to the Moonlight Syndrome.) 2.Emir Parkreiner is a hard core serial killer like Uehara Kamui. Kamui is infamous for the Silver Case incident that he committed in the 1970's however the current Kamui in the first Silver Case game is only in his 20's. (Much like how Emir Parkreiner's birth date didn't coincide with his actual age. It's later revealed IMO that his biological records were fabricated by the "government". "Government" is in quatations, because K7 never specifies which government did it. -U.S. or Japan-) It's later revealed that the Kamui from the 70's was a hitman named Fujiwara Kamui who was under the payroll for Sundance the leader of the right wing FSO party. (Like Matsuken Sundance is not actually a bad guy, he just utilizes very extreme methods that make him appear "evil".) Fujiwara is officially recorded as the man who killed ten seniors from Sundance's rival party, the CCO/TRO alliance. In reality Fujiwara was actually killed during the assassination attempt. The remaining politicians at the tower killed each other. (3. Although you don't actually see this scene play out the whole concept behind the idea reminds me of the Japan/U.S. peace talks that occurred during Sunset part 2.) They (CCO/TRO politicians) were fighting for control of Fujiwara's "silver eye". The casualities during the shoot out were later added on to Fujiwara's death toll by the 24 ward police department. (Even though he died before the gun fight.) The chief of the 24 ward police department was actually involved with the fabrication of the Silver incident, but he went by a different name for his underworld activities . Tsuguro Kusabi is often credited for arresting Uehara Kamui. Although he DID detain & arrest Kamui,he was not the same man who was involved in the Silver Case incident. (The "Silver Case" Kamui, died during the CCO/TRO assassination.) The man "Kamui" is more of a legacy/urban myth rather than an actual person. The only concrete fact about Kamui is that he is a hardcore killer with tremendous clout & influence. Kamui is a stand alone complex that influences similar unrelated incidents that were originated by the idea & existance of the man "Kamui" An entity fostered & perfected by the scientist Nez, the right hand man of the chief of the 24 ward police. (Chizuru & Tokio's father.) -Yeah it sounds a lot like Ghost in the Shell SAC,but Suda 51's Silver Case preceded GITS SAC by three years. Unlike Gits, where the Laughing man was a complete fabrication by corporate ceos. Silver Case's Kamui is an actual "person/entity/spirit", who was remulated to cleanse Kyoka city of undesireables.- The current Kamui is a "seed child" that happened to be the boy friend of Kaiji Enzawa. KAIJI ENZAWA a yuri hebi Sumio Kodai, develops a crush for Ms. Enzawa, but he's forced to arrest her after Kaiji failed a suicide attempt. (She stuck a gun in her mouth, but the orphans of the Shelter convinced her not to go through with it.) Ms. Enzawa was also harbouring a fujitive, Uehara Kamui. (She stuffed Kamui inside her closet, LOL!) 5. Like Kun Lan the only time you ever see Kamui is during the first two levels & the last level. Uehara Kamui is confined within a rehabilatation facility for the duration of the game.) Note: In Hand in Killer 7, during the Jaco reports it is said that the real Kun Lan. (Not the apparition that you see during the K7 game.) is actually an old man rotting inside an insane asylum. During the Silver Case the current body of Uehara Kamui is confined within a rehabilatation facility. He eventually escapes, but is later gunned down by a firing squad. http://killer7.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/silverKamuiUehara.wmv Kamui's spirit is transcendant. All though his body may die his conciouness will usually be reborn inside the newborn baby of the Yuri hebi or emulated through one of his stock bodies. Note: Kamui only retains his killer instinct with each of his reincarnations & there's also more than one Kamui walking around at any given time) (Sumio himself also has a collection of stock bodies, but that's never revealed until the ending of FSR. The Sumio that you begin FSR with is killed half way through the game by Sundance. Though he is later brought back after Toriko's 3rd attempt to coerce Sundance.) Even the Heaven Smiles themselves seem a bit influenced by the way murders occur in the Silver Case. Although in the Silver Case the suicide victims were actual people, & not some sorry excuse for a zombie. (Killer 7 might've been too graphic had they used real human avatars for the suicide bombers rather than those stupid looking heaven smiles.) The suicide victims in Silver Case were more literal. They were an invisible threat only, because there's no possible way that you can identify a killer or potential suicide victim just by looking at them. K7 on the other hand was more poetic with the "Suicide" concept. & made the Heaven Smiles an actual invisible threat. There's many more, but I'll quit right now, because my last two posts in this thread are a disorganized mess. --- I have a love/hate relationship with Suda 51 games. I can't stand the gameplay, but I love how ridculously detailed his stories are.

True Grave- 11-29-2006

Wow I'm really confused now. But I was able to pin that Emir/Garcian was one person through out K7 and not some reincarnation, even before I read any plot faqs. Now that you've said all this about the Silver Case, my real question is, what is the Silver Case? A weapon? My guess is you've already answered this and I'm just wasting time. As for K7 I still have questions regarding who Harman and Kun are. Especially after all that you've said. I just dont know. Alot happens in that game and because none of it is explained it just leaves you feeling stupid. Its great though, because I loved every second of it. K7 is still the king of mind fucks in American games. MGS I'm sorry, but I just dont care anymore. And yeah I will play MGS portable Ops, just to see WTF is up with the anti-snake pinhead character.
