So you've never seen any Boll films, Bob? I've only seen Alone in the Dark and it was pretty entertaining! Now if you watch it expecting a serious film.....your head will probably explode at the awfulness. But if you watch it expecting a B-Movie kind of flick, you'll find it pretty funny. There are a bunch of goofy continuity errors on top of just ridiculous nonsense. Plus the ending is INSANELY anticlimactic.....which I thought was pretty funny. The characters are just retarded and do stupid things like...when one of the guys sets a bomb and the remote won't set it off he goes back to detonate it himself. He only sets the timer to 5 seconds and randomly shoots at the creature things which are NOWHERE around him by the way. Then he dives behind a desk......which would've been AFTER the timer was already done...but a few seconds LATER it goes off.....obviously killing him since the blast goes like miles away from him. Oh and if you're going to blow up a stone wall.....there shouldn't be a visible shock wave. After the shockwave...the wall looks like a wrecking ball hit it (bricks are still fully intact and some are hanging down) instead of an explosion taking it out (chunks of bricks around).
It's really bad but it's pretty funny. There's some violent crap at the beginning when Carnby fights some weirdo cab driver (overacting central on this one too! He's pretty funny ). Carnby shoots the guy with a gun he steal FROM A COP but he gets away easily. It's not even important enough for them to show him getting away after he nearly twisted a cop's arm off taking his gun and shooting a man twice in public! And he shot him in STYLE TOO!!!! Haha! It's one trip of a movie! Watch it with some buddies. They'll help you enjoy it more if you guys make goofy comments and observations about it while you watch it. ;) My friends and I do that! :P
Alone in the Dark was pretty funny.

Ok, I feel weird now.....I went out tonight and ACTUALLY rented House of the Dead! Since it was two for a dollar is was only 50 cents though! Haha! Well anyway I'll give everyone my thoughts on it soon because it's late and I want me some sleep!!
Although I must say that I found it more entertaining than Alone in the Dark. It was much better and didn't reek so much of being a tv movie kind of thing! :P Haha!
KIRBY 7- 08-05-2006
Screw house of the Dead it's all about the "sci fi original" House of the Dead 2.
It's almost as bad as the first, but hell who cares.
(The reason why I said almost,is because the movie doesn't feat. any gameplay from the game. WTH was Uwe Boll thinking when he did that anyway?)
I watch it for the female Bruce Campbell, Emmanuelle Vaugier
(Of course she doesn't look as skanky in the movie. She actually looks pretty classy. You know how it is with Maxim. It's a magazine for men. AKA neanderthal so they have to amp the sleaze by 100.)
Cool interview

Damn I want to add my 2 cents about why both Final Fanatasy movies were so horrible, but it's no use beating a dead horse.
Besides True Grave & Lisker pretty much hit the nail on the head.
True Grave- 08-06-2006
It took awhile, but I think everyone is now on the same page!
Lisker- 08-10-2006
Psychologically, I'm always a few pages behind...
True Grave- 08-10-2006
Unless you are reading a Japanese book, then you'd be ahead of everybody!
Lisker- 08-11-2006
Maybe I am...
True Grave- 08-11-2006
In that case can you tell me how it ends?
Lisker- 08-12-2006
Got a couple chapters to go, but you wouldn't believe who the third anti-christ turns out to be...
<insert Uwe Boll joke here>
Jedilink- 08-13-2006
Well there's no way.....mainly becuase that means people would ACTUALLY have to follow him.........and that would never happen. Well not the smart ones anyway. :P
Lisker- 08-14-2006
You saw who America chose in the last presidential election, so that doesn't mean the 'uninformed' are necessarily the minority.
Jedilink- 08-14-2006
Ok, so I'm gonna give my opinion on the president here, I hope everyone doesn't mind. When he was re-elected in 04 I thought, "Ok, Bush is the president". But I go to my college class the next day and my English teacher was SO OBSENELY opinionated that he talked about how mad he was that Bush was re-elected and how everyone who voted for Bush are uninformed and aren't educated and so on.....
Well he FINALLY (after what seemed like YEARS....it probably was too, ugh) said, "Are there any people in here who support Bush? Does anyone want to say something?" I told him, "Well now that the election is over and the president is re-elected, can we please MOVE ON?!?!?!" He started class then and didn't give me any crap about it.
It just gets on my nerves that people are so much FOR him or AGAINST him. I'm kind of in the middle......and don't EVEN think of flaming me about this one either because I don't wanna hear it. It just gets on my nerves that people are so opinionated about it and don't consider thye other side. And Lisker, I'm not being rude to you, please don't take it that way, I'm just saying. :P Plus, I'm not into politics. It would drive me insane anyway. The whole system is retarded. Minimum wage hasn't been raised since 1997 but yet congress has raised THEIR own paycheck by thousands since then. THAT is the kind of crap we need to deal with! We should also make some universal health care system or something. Namely because I'm sick of paying retards EVERY SINGLE MONTH but yet when it's MY TURN to use my money, they won't give me anything and what they DO give is CERTAINLY not enough to cover it! Just stupid stuff that COULD be fixed like that! But yet the big guys control it all. If we go to universal health care then the insurance people will complain.....so then we won't change anything because THEY won't be able to make money off me.
I've gone on and on.....I'm sorry everyone! Simasen! Dui Bu Qi!!
But anyway, Uwe Boll is the cause of it all anyway! :P
Lisker- 08-15-2006
! Well, since we already started, I guess it doesn't hurt to keep going. First off, teachers really shouldn't bring their political views to class, ever. I do consider the other side, it's just that of all Republican presidents in recent decades, this is by far the one I have the least respect for, you can say all you want about guys like Nixon or Reagan, but they honestly accomplished a lot, not that I approve of what they did as a whole, but they did accomplish things. This guy really hasn't done a damn thing to be proud of, short of capturing Saddam, which he won't let us forget. But that's really nothing to be proud of, anyone in control of what is by far the strongest military in the world could have captured Saddam, hell, with that kind of military you could even capture Osama Bin Laden if you wanted to. Too bad this guy doesn't care. In the end, capturing Saddam wasn't even worth all the lives and billions of dollars lost in this war, not to mention how much instability it's caused, the fact is the Iraqi people were actually better off with Saddam, and that's saying something. As far as how much this guy sucks, I'll be very brief, because you could honestly go all day talking about how horrible this guy is, first off his getting elected in the first place was a sham because the majority of Americans voted for Gore, then once he took office he almost immediately set records for the number of vacation days he took(because apparantly holding one of the most powerful positions in the entire world requires about as much commitment as a part-time job), and between those two factors most Americans hated him. Then he struck gold: 9-11. His popularity skyrocketed. There's no denying that this was the best thing to ever happen to him, over the period of one day he went from being a man most people couldn't stand to an unquestioned dictator who everyone adored. Of course they didn't love him because he suddenly became a great leader around the same time of this tragedy, but simply because he at that point became a war president, and when the nation itself is under attack from an unseen threat, people aren't exactly going to rally against their own leader(whether they chose him or not). Anyone who dared speak out against him was persecuted, much like the Mccarthy commies of the 50s, saying something bad about Bush made you look like an America-hating terrorist. Bush got whatever he wanted, because the Republican party was more partisan than it ever was before(if it was that bad 40 years ago, Nixon would've probably ended up running a second term) and the Democrats were a combination of brain-dead morons living under a blanket of false patriotism and pussies afraid to look unpatriotic. And not to mention, of course, 9-11. If you were forced to sit down and watch a video consisting of clips showing every single time Bush used the term '9-11' in the past 5 years, you'd be there for at least a week(and it's funny how amidst all this capitalizing on 9-11 by the Republican party, they feel Democrats are unjustly using the Iraq War as a political tool) Bush was bringing up Bin Laden as much as he was 9-11, understandable since this was the man responsible, but suddenly, it just stopped, and Bush seemed to suffer from a sudden attack of Alzheimer's, completely forgetting about Osama and instead targeting the Iraqi dictator who neither had any weapons of mass destruction nor ties to 9-11(though if you remember, he said differently). Now we're stuck in Iraq, and...well, explaining the faults of that war could take almost as long as explaining the faults with this presidency. Then Katrina, of course. All those people left to fend for themselves. Ask anyone, Republican or Democrat, and they'll say Michael Brown fucked up. Horribly. Odd, though. Bush said he was doing a great job. But maybe Bush's opinion on Katrina isn't worth much in itself, considering he didn't stop his vacation until two days after Katrina began. The guy was quicker to respond to a certain comment made by Kanye West than he was with Katrina.
I'll stop there, because I'm not exaggerating when I say this guy could get his own encyclopedia of fuck-ups, from making fun of reporters for being blind, to flipping off the American people on-camera (though in his defense, he didn't know it was recording) when he was younger, to that 'hilarious' bit he did at the 2004 White House Conferance Dinner where he did that funny little sketch about how he can't find weapons of mass destruction when that's the reason hundreds of U.S. soldiers have been dying in Iraq(because that's essentially what the war is to him, a big joke). So yeah, I feel my hatred is justified.
As for why people love him, some do because they're just partisan, some do because they like his supposed downhome folksey charm, despite the fact that he is best buddies with guys like Kenneth Lay and Jack Abramoff, although he'll deny it if you ask him (the pictures he took with them and the frequent friendly get-togethers they had mean nothing). Some like the fact that he's not very...sophisticated, I suppose("Yo Blair, Lebanon needs to stop this shit!'), so they assume his unthreatening lack of intellect makes him too trustworthy to be evil. Some like him because they think he's funny (that writing staff of his is hilarious! At least to some people, I suppose). Some like him because he's such a great speaker, at least when he's standing behind a podium and reading a script, as opposed to when he's actually saying the ridiculous crap that comes out of his own mouth. Some like him because he hates gays and abortionists. Some like him because he's pro big-business, and they're rich white people. Some people like him because he's a war veteran(he was in the Texas Airforce during Vietnam! Damn, that guy's brave!)...despite never seeing actual combat. Some like him because he's tough on terror, and by that I mean he's not hesitant to send our soldiers out to die when attacking seemingly random countries indiscriminately, whether they're involved in terrorist plots or not. And some like him because...9-11! 9-11! Support our troops!
I'd like to stay out of politics. I really would. Do you think the fact that we have this guy as a president doesn't depress the shit out of me? Of course it does. I know I have no influence over what's going on. But I can't help it. The sad thing is I know more about politics than at least two-thirds of the country, and despite knowing next to nothing about the political world, they still feel like going out and voting for a guy after doing their own 'in-depth research' (they saw a commercial he put out, they think he has an honest face, they shook his hand in public, etc.) Yes, Congress has, for the ninth year in a row now, voted not to raise the minimum wage, which will make it a full decade next year since it was last raised, despite this very same year voting to raise their own salery. And it makes sense, doesn't it? I mean, it's not like inflation has caused everything in the country to go up in price(like gasoline that used to be less than $2 a gallon), so we don't really need anymore than what we already make. Besides, many of those fat cats have it so easy, they work two jobs to support their families. Lucky bastards. Fortunately, Bush is introducing a guest worker program, so illegal immigrants from Mexico can take our jobs, because we already have way too many high-paying jobs to choose from. And you may have heard about all the corruption scandels, something that's always been common in Congress, but especially common recently. So it makes sense to give themselves more money, thus they'll be less tempted to take further bribes. It might not sound like that idea would work, but look at the huge tax breaks Congress gives to the richest percent in America, do you think with all that extra money, guys like Ken Lay are going to screw over their employees? And we already do have universal healthcare, it's just that it's limited to people who enter the country illegally. It's like the opposite of what Canada has, except they only give healthcare to people who pay taxes. It's like Bizzarro World over there. And of course the insurance companies are going to complain, they already have an excellent system set up where you pay them every month, and when you get injured, they can find a loophole barring them of any responsibility(recently I was lucky enough to get stuck with a $2,000+ dental bill because they found a way to get out of coverage. And I work as a fucking dishwasher, so you know I can afford it). Do you really want to ruin it for them when they've got such a good thing going?
I'll stop for now. That was long. Though I will say one last thing. Don't get me wrong. I have little love for the majority of Bush bashers these days. About two thirds of the country hates him now. And yet he won over half the popular vote this last election. So what does this mean? A lot of the people who hate him now, voted for him before. I don't hate people who have always blindly supported him, hell, that's what partisan people on the left and right generally do. But as for people who suddenly changed their mind on the guy after they re-elected him, I feel they need to shut the fuck up. Those bitches are the ones who kept him in power. It's a little late to hate him now, when it's the popular thing to do, since we're stuck with him, and it doesn't matter what anyone thinks, he's going to be president for the next three years, unless he gets impeached. Which won't happen. Nixon was impeached for spying on the Democrats. This guy can't get impeached for spying on everyone in America.
Jedilink- 08-16-2006
Dude you've GOT to put some hard returns on your paragraphs man. I'm looking at the keyboard and I can STILL see little text lines! :P Seriously!!! But anyways, :P I think you have a valid point and all. Many people look past certain things though like the fact that Saddam had already broken the promises he'd made after the Gulf War. If he had broken those promises then we were suppoed to go in and get him out of power. The problem now is that since there isn't a firm dictator in Iraq right now, people feel that they can just do what they want. I've noticed that there aren't political parties over there it's more like extremists on one side or the other. If one gets in power, they'll persecute their enemies and the same goes for the other way around too. People won't look past their own differences in order to live a better life for all. But that's politics and politics has and always will be crooked. You can't fix it, You can only hope that a good righteous person will eventually come along...but those are rare anyways. :P
But anyways, politicians are teh suck. If you care more about yourself than about someone who isn't as fortunate as you and can't be in your position....then you should be a politician. You'd fit right in. :P I do dishes too and I'll be getting a dental bill soon here as well (getting wisdom teeth out), so it disheartens me to know that I can't get anymore help than what the insurance companies will give me. And seeing as how they won't even pay a cent until I cough up 500 bucks, ON TOP of my monthly bill, I think they should all be shot or have their paychecks taken FROM THEM every month like I have! Try and live with less than 100 dollars in the bank every month and always HOPING to be able to save up for college, which is next semester by the way! I have to pay for my car, my car insurance....which since I'm 20, is OBSENELY HIGH!!!! (death to whitey), as well as a medical bill which after a YEAR of making payments, I will FINALLY get paid off.....only to have my Dental bill come soon thereafter.
My friend has a house, two new cars a new computer and pretty much anything he wants but he is going to declare bankrupcy here soon. I understand his situation but he doesn't live on what I make either. He CAN pay his bills, without help from mommy. I love my friend to death but, I am barely scraping by and he's doing ok, he just doesn't want to pay his bills he does have every month......which if he doesn't have any debts here soon.....then he best be sharing his money with me! :P But regardless, it's not Bush's fault. It's all our fault. Not yours and mine of course! But the people who set up the rules. They made it hard for us to get a start. And since they made the rules, the rich have made it harder for us to move up. And they make it worse all the time soo..........death to honkeyman! :P
