Sometimes there is symbolism in games alot of it, someitmes not.
Best bet is to dig up the interviews and psyche of developers, in this case drunkee is much more familiar with suda
so have to buy his story , same for kojima or any other.
Rather than fanstasizing what you think i rather want to know what is developers intent, that can be judged by his interviews or past nature in hisgames.
For e.g ico ending was interpreted differently by evryone than what actually ueda thought of it.
anyone know symbolism in zelda? aryan guy , muslims crest on sheild and stuff.
Sometimes japanese put random sutff form religions indiscriminately to make fictional world with references, so
it opens world for gamers to interpret and find meaning here there is none, coz its random stuff put in from different sources to make software cool and attarctive, what counts is that
how much cohesive and smartly it is presented.
But sometimes they get controversial too.

The muslim crest got removed in later cartridges of OoT (lucky me as i got the version with it)
I like to see in NMH that some killer's alter-egos are either very low in society (destroyman being a postal clerk), high (holly summers being a fashion model, tough I think she got rejected from that circle after the lose of her leg).
Also Holly's speech about having something for pathetic guys like Travis seems reasonable, since common males look upon gorgeous fashion models as an unreachable goal in life.

anyone know symbolism in zelda? I was a real zelda freak :P but the triforce is a reference to wisdom, power and courage
and in religions, the number 3 is special like in catholicism "the father, the holy spirit and the son" in buddhism "the buddha, the sangha, and the dharma" in hinduism "Brahma, shiva, and vishnu" and about islam I don't know but it seems there is
note this is what buddhism is seem from the religion perpective, because buddhism is not a religion to some ppl, it is a philosophy and buddha said "not to worship nobody, not even himself" but some people made a religion out of buddha's teachigns >.<
